“I feel the same.” Magiris nodding, not refuting Chen Feng this time. 

With the Slaughterers in retreat, the Dark Kirin then led several Gold Immortals with him as he made his way towards them. 

The Dark Kirin aside, there was a somewhat curious look on the faces of the others as they regarded Chen Feng and Magiris. They could tell that the duo was not from the Dark Plane. 

Still, the duo had taken action to help them, causing them to feel grateful towards them. That was even more so when considering the fact that they had killed off two of the enemy Gold Immortals. Additionally, they also killed over a million Slaughterers. This feat left them feeling shocked.

“Senior Dark Night!”

Unlike Chen Feng, Magiris had always showed great respect towards the Dark Kirin. 

“You fellows have come. How are things on Eternal World?” the Dark Kirin asked. Speaking of which, the Dark Kirin was once sealed in Eternal World. Due to that, he had stayed on the world longer compared to Chen Feng. 

“It's a long story!” Chen Feng then sighed. 

“No need to rush. Tell me about it slowly.” The Dark Kirin nodded before waving his hand. 

“You fellows can go back first.”

“Affirmative!”

The Gold Immortals showed a high amount of respect towards the Dark Kirin. It was an att.i.tude that subordinates would show to their master.

“Come. I'll bring you somewhere.” There was a smile on the Dark Kirin's face. 

It did not take long before the three of them arrived before a ma.s.sive city. 

“This is!” Chen Feng regarded the city with a look of surprise. 

It was not an opulent city. Rather, it was mostly constructed using various types of stones. However, it was simply too ma.s.sive. Its walls towered high into the clouds. Amidst the clouds were floating palaces. Even though they had yet to get a detailed look, the city's walls, quaint and primitive in appearance, were already giving them a suffocating feeling. 

Chen Feng could also see that there were countless restrictions and formidable killing arrays imbued into the walls. His eyes then narrowed. Even Gold Immortals would have a very hard time breaking into this city. 

“This city is as big as our Six Daos Alliance's territory.” Chen Feng shook his head, a smile on his face. 

“Dark Night City. This must be the biggest city in the Dark Plane, no?” Magiris said. 

“Yes!” A hint of pride flashed across the Dark Kirin's eyes. 

“Tsk, tsk. I think, not even the East Extreme Immortal Palace can match this city.” Chen Feng smiled. 

“The East Extreme Immortal Palace? Humph, it cannot! The only one that can stand above Dark Night City is the Immortal Court itself,” the Dark Kirin said. 

After that, the Dark Kirin led Chen Feng and Magiris into Dark Night City.

An unusual aura greeted them. Only, Chen Feng and Magiris were in no mood to pay attention to that. The two of them rapidly followed the Dark Kirin and the cultivators within the city – with the exception of some Gold Immortals – were simply incapable of noticing them. 

Covering a distance of 500 kilometres with a single step, the three of them finally entered a ma.s.sive palace. Every part of this palace was built using rare spirit stones. With one glance, Chen Feng could determine tens of the spirit stones used.

The power emanating from the spirit stones fused as one to form layer after layer of defensive magic arrays. 

Additionally, there was also the power of Gold Immortals bolstering them. Chen Feng's scanning efforts informed him that over 100 Gold Immortals had bolstered this palace with their magic powers before. 

As this was the palace for the ruler of the Dark Plane, ordinary Gold Immortals would not have the qualifications to do that. 

“Tsk, tsk. So, you have been living here?” After entering the palace, Chen Feng could not stop himself from asking. 

Chen Feng had a feeling. Should all of this palace's magic arrays be deployed, not even tens of Gold Immortals would be enough to break in. 

“This is the residence of the past rulers of the Dark Plane. In truth, I have only just moved in not too long ago,” the Dark Kirin said. At the same time, he also waved his hand, gesturing for them to make themselves as home. 

Chen Feng casually found a place to sit. His gaze kept sweeping around, a curious look etched on his face. 

“The Dark Plane is indeed much stronger than Eternal World. Even 100 Eternal Worlds are likely not as good as the Dark Plane.” Chen Feng sighed. 

“But even 100 Dark Planes are not as good as the Immortal Plane.” The Dark Kirin suddenly revealed a wry smile. 

“Oh, looks like Sir Dark Night knows something. Still, let's talk about the current situation first.” Chen Feng chuckled.

“You have seen it for yourselves. The number of Slaughterers is considerable. Only, this force alone will not be enough to take over our Dark Plane. The number of Slaughterers that died here through the years had exceeded ten billion. That said, our Dark Plane did have to pay a big price for it as well.” After saying that, the Dark Kirin's face darkened. 

“Ten billion!” Chen Feng and Magiris looked at each other, shock etched on their faces. 

“Let me ask this first. How many Gold Immortals do you have in the Dark Plane at the moment?” Chen Feng asked.

The Dark Kirin pondered for a moment before answering, “Around three thousand.”

“Three thousand!” Chen Feng and Magiris were left dumbfounded again. 

Back then, if Eternal World had 3,000, no, just 1,000 Gold Immortals, they would've been able to wipe out the two billion-strong army of Slaughterers. 

Is the Dark Plane so strong? In the beginning, Chen Feng found it hard to believe. But after recollecting himself, he pondered the issue and understood that the Dark Kirin's words were the truth. 

The Dark Plane was an existence on the same level as the Demon Plane, having existed for who knows just how many hundreds of millions of years. More, they had been at war with the Immortal Plane for a very long time. The fact that they could continue to develop themselves all this time was proof of their strength. 

Since entering the Dark Plane, Chen Feng had been getting a feel for the worldly laws of the Dark Plane. Although it was no match for the laws of the Immortal Plane, it was still not something that a life-bearing world like Eternal World could match up against. 

Naturally, Chen Feng believed that the 3,000 Gold Immortals may not always be staying in the Dark Plane. It was similar to Eternal World. There were usually no Gold Immortals in Eternal World. However, when it came under attack by the army of Slaughterers, they were able to quickly gather up over a hundred Gold Immortals. 

It was likely the same for the Dark Plane. Throughout the hundreds of millions of years, the Dark Plane had given birth to a high number of Gold Immortals. In fact, Chen Feng would not find it inconceivable if someone were to tell him that the Dark Plane possessed Paramount Gold Immortals.

Thinking back to how vast the Dark Plane was, a thought that flashed across Chen Feng's mind. 

“I believe this position of the ruler of the Dark Plane is not easy to hold, no?” Chen Feng said with a smile. 

“It is truly not easy. Although I have obtained the Dark Scripture and the Dark Plane's recognition, without advancing to the Gold Immortal stage, I would not have been able to gain any status here. In this place, everything I own was obtained through conquest.

“Before the Slaughterers came, I couldn't even enter this palace. Heh! Although I have a sizable number of dark cultivators following me, this is nothing in the Dark Plane. There are many forces that are stronger than me. Even after I obtained the Dark Plane's recognition, there were still those who wanted to seize my position, that of the ruler of the Dark Plane.

“But the Slaughterers appeared and a war broke out. As the nominal ruler of the Dark Plane, I established a link with the Dark Plane. With the support of the Dark Plane's essence power, I killed 13 Gold Immortal stage Slaughterers in a row. 

“Impressive.”

“Strong!”

Hearing that, Chen Feng and Magiris were quick to give praise. 

“In addition, I also killed eight Gold Immortals of the Dark Plane,” the Dark Kirin then said fiercely.

“My situation aside, let's talk about your situation.” The Dark Kirin then changed the subject.  

Chen Feng nodded and he quickly gave the Dark Kirin a brief summary of what happened to Eternal World. Finally, he said with a furious tone, “This time, the Immortal Court has gone too far. No questions are needed to know that Eternal World will be merged with the Immortal Plane. I had to spend so much effort and resources, losing so many men, only for all of it to benefit the Immortal Court.”

“As expected.” The Dark Kirin nodded, not feeling too shocked about it.

“The Immortal Court's ambition is something that existed long ago. Only, it has always been aiming to annex our worlds. The Demon Plane, Dark Plane, Nether Plane, Ghost Plane and the others of the likes. Unexpectedly, they would even take action against the average, life-bearing great worlds,” the Dark Kirin then continued. 

Chen Feng revealed a wry smile. Eternal World became an average existence in the Dark Kirin's eyes. 

“Only, for the Immortal Court to do something like this means that they want to take action against us next. What I do not understand is, where did they get the confidence to do something like this?”

“You can't say that. Didn't the Lightning Plane merge with the Immortal Plane? Speaking of which, the Lightning Plane is on the same level as your Dark Plane,” Chen Feng said.

“The Lightning Plane is very strong. It is in no way inferior to our Dark Plane. Rather, it is even stronger than our Dark Plane. It should be around the same level as the Demon Plane.” The Dark Kirin nodded. 

“Honestly, I am very puzzled as to why the Lightning Plane would take the initiative to merge with the Immortal Plane. That said, after the merging, their overall strength did increase,” Magiris said. 

“Regardless, the Immortal Court is dreaming if it thinks that it can merge our Dark Plane with the Immortal Plane.” The Dark Kirin revealed a contemptuous smile. 

They continued chatting for three days, discussing everything they knew before coming up with some speculations. In the end, they reached various conclusions. 

“Looks like the Dark Plane is truly not in a good spot this time. The Slaughterers have exhausted so much of the Dark Plane's forces. Will it be able to stop the Immortal Court's attacks? Looks like I will need to go contact some other worlds.” The Dark Kirin sighed. 

Before the Dark Kirin headed out to contact the other worlds, he helped Chen Feng and Magiris establish a link with the Dark Plane's essence. 

“How much of it you can comprehend will depend on your own luck,” the Dark Kirin said before leaving. He was not worried that something might happen to Chen Feng and Magiris. At any rate, others beside him would have a very hard time breaking into the Grand Dark Night Palace. 

Chen Feng was someone who had cultivated the Dark Scripture. Even without the Dark Kirin's a.s.sistance, he would still be able to link up to the Dark Plane's essence. Only, making contact with the primary essence of the Dark Plane would be very difficult. With the Dark Kirin's help, the Dark Plane's primary essence power flowed endlessly into Chen Feng's body.
