Chapter 5128 Blockers
Long Chen left Mo Nian and rushed toward the core of the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain. However, he had to proceed with caution. The curse still afflicted him, limiting his strength to less than a tenth of its usual capacity.
The Heavenly Flame Devil Domain was vast beyond measure. Under normal circ.u.mstances, it would take Long Chen about ten days to reach the core if he traveled in a straight line. However, he couldn’t afford to fly at full speed or take a direct route in his current state, which significantly slowed his progress. This was why he had set off before fully healing.
On the third day, Long Chen spotted a horde of devil creatures, tens of thousands strong, rus.h.i.+ng past his hiding spot.
“They aren’t hunting; they’re searching for me. It seems they know I’m injured and can’t move quickly,” muttered Long Chen. This was a big problem for him.
The devil creatures would undoubtedly form a blockade around the core region to stop him. Having missed their first chance to kill him, they wouldn't let a second opportunity slip by.
“Tch, so what? The Heavenly Flame Devil Domain is huge, and I refuse to believe they can block every opening,” said Long Chen.
Even though they had six-vein Heaven Saints and numerous three-vein Heaven Saints, it was impossible for them to seal off the core region completely. Even if they managed to form a full seal, with their forces spread so thin over such a vast area, they wouldn’t be able to block Long Chen. Unless he foolishly ran straight into a six-vein Heaven Saint, not even a group of three-vein Heaven Saints could stop him.
Though Long Chen was severely weakened, he still had the power of Huo Linger and Lei Linger at his disposal. Huo Linger was still recovering her energy after battling the Heavenly Flame Qilin, but Lei Linger remained in top condition.
Now, a ma.s.s of violet clouds filled the majority of the primal chaos s.p.a.ce. This was the Grandmist primal elixir, which had been purified by the golden lotus seed and transformed into Grandmist violet qi.
The Earth Cauldron, Dragonbone Evilmoon, and the Demon Moon Cauldron were all immersed within the violet clouds, greedily absorbing the Grandmist violet qi. It was clearly of utmost importance to them.
As long as Long Chen wasn’t in mortal danger, they would remain in a state of half-seclusion. He couldn’t interrupt them without a good reason.
If the Grandmist violet qi was their greatest gain, then the altar was the greatest fertilizer for the primal chaos s.p.a.ce. The base of the altar had already sunk into the black soil, which devoured its energy and unleashed an endless supply of life force.
The primal chaos s.p.a.ce’s life energy had started to dwindle because of the influx of thousands of Golden Crow Totems, but now it flourished once more. The Fusang Trees thrived again, their vitality restored.
The altar, the four devil skulls, the egg, and the Devil Spirit were all part of one ent.i.ty, now being digested by the primal chaos s.p.a.ce.
The altar was already releasing a terrifying amount of life energy, even though it had barely begun to be devoured. Huo Linger and Lei Linger were rapidly recovering and growing stronger. Apart from six-vein Heaven Saints, no one else could pose a threat to them.
Moreover, the Fusang Trees now had an endless supply of energy, and the tiny Golden Crows were rapidly maturing. Based on Long Chen’s estimations, the energy from this altar would be enough to bring the Golden Crows to full maturity, which would elevate Huo Linger’s power to unimaginable levels.
Huo Linger’s power was rising with every pa.s.sing moment, and most importantly, this growth didn’t require her to put in any effort. It was outrageous.
Long Chen waited until those devil creatures pa.s.sed before continuing onward. Whenever he sensed their presence, he would immediately hide and only move forward when it was safe.
This was the most dangerous time for Long Chen. The Earth Devils were no fools. They knew that the devil creatures couldn’t capture him, but once they spotted him, they would know where he was and concentrate their forces on him.
The further out Long Chen was, the more dangerous it became. Ironically, it would be safer once he got closer to the core region.
Over the next seven days, the number of devil creatures continued to increase, making it progressively harder for him to advance.
As more days pa.s.sed, the devil creatures grew stronger. They were no longer patrolling but were instead stationed strategically, like stars dotting the night sky.
Despite their vigilance, the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain was vast. Although they guarded specific spots, Long Chen managed to slip through their blind spots. However, after another three days, he was forced to halt.
Up ahead, the devil creatures had locked down the area, and there were almost no blind spots in their formation. Sneaking past them would take too much time.

After over ten days of travel, Long Chen had partially suppressed his Heavenly Fate Curse, which allowed him to release fifty percent of his power.
“I can’t keep waiting. Once everyone advances to the Eternal realm, they’ll kill me,” Long Chen muttered gravely. He knew that the disciples entering the Heavenly Flame Devil Domain would do anything to kill him, thanks to Han Qianye. Time was running out.
Without hesitation, Long Chen took out a formation disc. He stepped onto it, initiating a spatial transportation in a fixed direction.
However, just moments after the spatial transportation activated, the void around Long Chen exploded. The spatial channel was pierced, and countless spatial cracks erupted around Long Chen, like fiendish mouths trying to swallow him.
Antic.i.p.ating such a scenario, Long Chen immediately summoned the Dragon Blood Battle Armor, tearing through the void and escaping through a spatial crack. As he emerged, he found himself surrounded by an army of devil creatures, led by a three-vein Heaven Saint.
The three-vein Heaven Saint roared upon seeing Long Chen and instantly crushed a bone tablet.
Just as it crushed that bone tablet, Huo Linger’s staff struck its head, killing it.
Huo Linger’s attacks were now extremely sharp. Her timing was perfect, leaving a three-vein Heaven Saint with no time to react. After killing one, Huo Linger transformed into a giant flame wing, while Lei Linger appeared and transformed into a lightning wing.
Together, they formed wings on Long Chen’s back, forcefully tearing a hole in the void. Countless devil creatures were obliterated as Long Chen shot through the opening.
Lei Linger and Huo Linger paved the way for Long Chen, plowing through their enemies like a storm.
Suddenly, an explosive sound echoed. Just as Long Chen was speeding through their blockade, a giant hand descended, shattering his wings and sending him hurtling back.
“How can I be this unlucky?!” grumbled Long Chen. When Long Chen saw the elder with a six-vein dragon qi swirling around him, his heart sank. This elder was none other than the leader of the Earth Devils whom Long Chen had encountered.
This elder had expected his palm strike to turn Long Chen into dust, but was surprised to find that Huo Linger and Lei Linger were strong enough to block an attack infused with his six-vein dragon qi. Roaring in frustration, he slammed his palm down on Long Chen once more.
Even before the palm landed, the ground beneath Long Chen’s feet collapsed, and an enormous handprint was etched into the ground. The terrifying pressure crushed Long Chen’s bones, making him feel like he was about to be obliterated.
Just then, a pitch-black saber appeared before Long Chen, rapidly growing in size, its sharp tip aimed directly at the elder’s descending palm.
