Chapter 53 : Welcoming

"Ren-chan! You've returned from your quest? Did you get hurt??"

"Yes, I've returned. Umm, I didn't get hurt much, only a few scratches at most."

"Ren is it true you're already engaged??"

"Yes, that is true."

"Oh my! Who's the lucky man ??"

"Umm, they are an adventurer.."

I haven't walked for more than 5 minutes but I was already surrounded by my acquaintances.

These people were resident of Pedrell City, from housewives, shop a.s.sistant, everyone.

They were really nice and helped me a lot while I was adapting to my new life in Alsar.

The barrage of question was overwhelming but I answered each question patiently.

Finally they set me free after they had asked me loads and loads of questions.

"Good afternoon~"

I opened the guild's door and entered inside.

"Oh my, good afternoon Ren-san. Are you meeting up with Lightning Twin Sword Chris and the others?"

"Ah, Norsan! Yes, I am. Do you know the room they're residing in?"

To my surprise, Norsan was attending the reception desk today. Usually Norsan managed the request confirmation counter after all.

"Yes,the three of them has informed me to tell their room number to Ren-san if you came. Each of them rented one room and their room are located on the fifth floor. Their room number are 501,502 and 503."

"I see, thank you for the information Norsan. I will go and meet them up then." I thanked Norsan while bowing my head and then I proceeded to go to the staircase.

There was no elevator in this world so I had to use the stairs.

Going up to the fifth floor by foot was a little bit tiring if I may be honest.

The third floor up to the fifth floor of the guild was designated as an inn for the adventurer to rent a room for.

There were various type of room in here, you could rent a room for a single person, two person, and even three person. The bed could be changed to suit your need too, from multiple single bed or just one double bed.

In total, the guild could accommodate up to 36 people.

Each room had their own bathroom so the cost to rent a room in the guild was higher compared to an ordinary inn that had shared bathroom.

After taking up stairs after stairs, I've finally reached the fifth floor.

"h.e.l.lo, I'm Ren." I said as I knocked on the room closest to me, room number 503.

"Please wait a moment!" A voice came from inside the room and in a few seconds the door opened, revealing Fer-san who seemed like he had just gotten out of the bath.

Fer-san who usually looked fastidious was wearing a simple white s.h.i.+rt and his sweatpants was hanging lowly on his hip.

His face looked flushed and dewy, his long flowing hair was slightly damp and tied in a loose ponytail.

Some of the hair strands was left as it is, marking his long nape in threads of gold.

Fer-san looked like the incarnation of s.e.xiness itself!

"Ah so Fer-san is the one in room 503. I was wondering who will come up. Oh and umm.. I'm sorry, you were taking a bath right? Did I disturb you?"

"No you didn't, you came at the right time. I had just finished my bath when you came. Chris is in room 501 and Sig is in room 502. Do you mind waiting inside while I get ready so we can go get them together?"

"Sure, let's go together." I nodded my approval and went inside the room.

Fer-san invited me inside and told me to sit on the sofa while Fer-san changed his pants into something more formal.

Using wind magic, Fer-san dried his hair while he sat on his bed since I already occupied the only sofa in his room.

"As expected, Fer-san's hair is so beautiful." I breathed in awe.

The sunlight shone through the window, coating Fer-san's hair in its warm glow, creating an illusion as if Fer-san's hair was made from precious golden thread.

The long blonde hair dancing along the wind gracefully, each strand looked delicate like a porcelain gla.s.s.

"Is that so? I like my hair but I like Ren-kun's hair better. I think Ren-kun's jet black hair is even more beautiful than my dull golden hair."

"Ehh? I think my hair is the dull one though.."

Fer-san chuckled,"Agree to disagree. Well then, I'm done here. Shall we go now, Ren-kun?"

"Yes, let's go."

It felt strange when Fer-san praised my hair after all my hair was the epitome of standard j.a.panese hair.

Maybe because black hair was rare in Alsar that was why Fer-san considered my hair as beautiful?

"Your face is telling me that you're still not convinced with my honest praise. Well, let's not dwell on it too much. Which room do you want to go first?" Fer-san asked, he knew that I still had my doubt but he decided to let it slide.

"Umm, let's go to the room next door.. 502? Sig-san is staying in room 502, right?"

"Yes, that's right. Then let's go pick Sig up."

The two of us exited room 501 and went to room 502.

I knocked on the door,"Sig-san, are you awake? This is Ren."

"Oi, I'm awake. Wait, I will come out in a sec." Sig-san quickly replied from inside.

"I will check on Chris while we wait for Sig to get ready." Fer-san said as he knocked on Chris-san's door but there was no response.

Hm? Maybe Chris-san was still asleep?

"… Maybe he's still sleeping? Chris usually casted 'lock' on his door but he might've added us into his whitelist. Do you want to try entering his room, Ren-kun?"

[Lock] was really convenient, you could add people to your whitelist so those people could enter the locked room while the people not in the whitelist couldn't.

"Yeah.. Umm, Chris-san? I'm coming in~" I opened the door, Fer-san was right,Chris-san already put us into his whitelist since we could go inside the locked room.

I peered into the room and saw a lump on his bed,"Oh Chris-san, you're still asleep? W-wait! Why are you naked?!"

Behind the sheet, Chris-san was completely nude! Sure the sheet covered Chris-san's thighs so there was a slight change he was wearing underwear but every other part of Chris-san body was completely nude!

"Nngh..? Oh? Ren-chan~ Good morning~" Chris-san snapped his body and greeted me. My loud voice had woken him up, I'm sorry Chris-san but I was honestly caught off guard when I saw your naked body!

"Good morning Chris-san.. Why are you sleeping in the nude?"

"Oh? I guess I fell asleep after I had a bath and forgot to put my clothes on~" Chris-san stretched his body just like a cat, the lean muscle on his body flexed with each movement.

Because he had just woken up, Chris-san was still a little dazed, his dignity was covered with only a single sheet.

If Fer-san looked ethereally s.e.xy, Chris-san looked seductively s.e.xy.

I hadn't seen Sig-san yet but I wonder whether Sig-san would looked s.e.xy just like Chris-san and Fer-san?

Ah… Seemed like all of my fiance were really dangerously s.e.xy.

"Ah… Are you not going to put any clothes on? You will catch a cold if you stay naked like this, you know." I said to Chris-san with my gaze averted, I couldn't look at his naked body too long!

"Fufu~ Ren-chan are you being shy?~" Chris-san chuckled.

"Stop saying such ridiculous things and please put some clothes on already!"

"Geez Chris, how come you can sleep naked like that? Well Ren's embarra.s.sed face is cute so I guess it's alright." Sig-san was leaning his body against the door beside Fer-san who was looking at Chris-san disinterestedly

"Yeah, yeah. I got it. I will get ready soon so you guys can wait for me downstairs. Ren-chan, have you eaten yet?~" Chris-san grumbled to Sig-san but his voice quickly turned tender when he was addressing me.

"I had eaten with Malik-san before I went here. Hmm.. It's a little bit too late for breakfast but too early for lunch too.." Glancing at the clock, I saw that it was already 10:00 a.m.

I had already eaten but seemed like everyone else hadn't, maybe we should have a brunch first?

"Then the three of us can have a meal downstairs. Since Ren have eaten already, he must be still too full to eat anything so after we finished our business with the jeweller, we can grab something light for Ren." Sig-san suggested.

"Ah, you guys don't have to worry about me. I don't want to trouble you guys.."

"Ren-kun, you don't have to worry about that. The three of us can have a drink while you eat or maybe we can also accompany you in having another late lunch. It's not a problem at all." Fer-san a.s.sured.

"Is that so? Well then, Chris-san we will go downstairs first, catch up to us when you're done okay?"

I was worried whether Chris-san would get back to sleep again or not since he still looked sleepy..

"Yeah,yeah I got it~"

"Chris, you better get your a.s.s down soon or we will leave you out and get the cuff without you." Sig-san threatened.

"Have some faith in me will you? I will come, I will come~ If I come out of the bed right now, Ren-chan will become even more fl.u.s.tered after all~"

"W-wh! E-everyone let's go now!" I quickly dragged Sig-san and Fer-san with me, knowing the implication behind Chris-san's word.

That was right!

Chris-san was naked underneath the sheet!

If he had come out now, I'd be welcomed with the sight of his birthday suit from the top to bottom!

"Understood. Let's go, Sig." Fer-san pivoted, giving me s.p.a.ce to come through the door.

"Okay."

Then, the three of us went down to the first floor.

"Ren-san, I see you've met with your companion." Norsan greeted me when we've arrived on the first floor.

"Yes, thank you for your a.s.sistance. The three of us will be waiting for Chris-san to come down here."

We sat on the 4 seater round table near the counter, Fer-san was sitting on my right side and Sig-san on my left side.

"Ah, even though he told me would come, I still can't trust him.Well let's order first, I'm starving.?"

"You're right.." Fer-san nodded and then raised his arm to call for the waiter,"Excuse me, can I have 3 portion of set meal? Ah, Ren-kun is there anything you want to drink?"

"Umm.. Then.. Can I have an orange juice please?"

Fer-san placed the order for us and the waiters left after he confirmed our orders.

"Today we're going jeweller to get our engagement cuff but I think we can also order our oath cuff while we're at it. Yesterday while Ren was sleeping, the three of us already discussed what kind of design would be good but of course we still need your feedback."

"Ah! Do you know what I did yesterday?? I asked Malik-san but he wouldn't tell me no matter what.."

I felt bad because I s.h.i.+fted the conversation so abruptly but I was really curious!

"Hmm~ Ren-kun you acted like a spoiled child with us.. You were very adorable indeed. Please don't ever drink without any of us, okay?"

"Eh..? Is that all? Actually I rarely ever drink before so I don't mind if we take drinking out of my options."

Spoiled?

Was that all? I didn't understand why Fer-san insisted me not to drink without their supervision if I only acted like a spoiled child while I was drunk..

Fer-san had such determined and serious look while he said that so I guess it'd be better if I just went along with it. I didn't like drinking that much anyway.

"Okay, then what about the design?"

"Yeah, about that we think it'd be good to have a matching cuff you know? To give a sense of unison between us. Having a different design for each of us would be weird since it's an engagement cuff after all. Luckily for us, I know a good jewelry shop in Pedrel. The craftsman there is notorious for making beautiful accessories. We can put on a request for that shop to make our engagement cuff."

"Oh? I didn't know there's something like that in Pedrel."

Ah, I'd only been living in Pedrell for more or less one month so I still didn't know my way around that much.

Since Pedrell was located close to the royal capital, the city was a lot bigger than ordinary city.

Well, certainly bigger than the usual city back in j.a.pan.

"Thank you for waiting. Here's your order."

The waiters came with our order before Chris-san joined us.

"Ah, please put the other serving there. Our friend will be joining us soon."

"Certainly."

As I was getting worried that the food will become cold if Chris-san didn't come soon, I glanced at the staircase and saw Chris-san was walking toward us.

"Ah, Chris! Nice timing!"

"You're right on time, Chris."

Chris-san walked briskly and sat down on the seat opposite me, he looked very happy.

The three of them had started to eat their own meal while I was slurping on my orange juice when Sig-san asked me,"Itadakimasu. Ren, do you have any preference for the ear cuff? If there's something you want to add, don't hesitate to tell us."

"Not really, I know the three of you have a good sense of fas.h.i.+on so I will leave the design up to you guys."

"Well, if you so.."

The outfit they were wearing might be simple at first glance but they were able to put those simple article of clothing together to give them this chic and stylish look.

I didn't know much about fas.h.i.+on but I liked their style in general so I'd entrust the cuff design to them.

"Fufu~ Leave it to us!~ We will never give anything less than perfect for Ren-chan~ The cuff will amplify Ren-chan's cuteness for sure!~" Chris-san looked very excited, his smile looked even more vibrant than usual.

"Is that so? Then, I will be looking forward to it." I smiled heartfully at the other three.

I couldn't wait to see what kind of design they had come up with.

"Yosh, shall we go now?" Sig-san asked.

As usual, they ate really fast even though there was so much food on the table before.

"Yes! Ah, I can use our party card to pay something, right?"

"I guess so? The guild card have the same function as an ordinary guild card after all." Sig-san added.

"I want to try using it so can I pay everyone's lodging fee in advance?"

Despite the party card had the same function as ordinary guild card, I still wanted to try paying using our brand new card.

( T/N: Hahhaa so cute! Like if you had just bought new clothes and you want to wear it immediately! )

"Ah but we've already paid for one month in advance~"

"Eh.. I see.."

"Yup! Malik-san said that we will get a call from the headquarters for Ren-chan's promotion after all. So we paid one month in advance since we will need to head off to the royal capital~"

Ah that was a shame..

I could understand their viewpoint though, since Malik-san's intuition was always right, they decided to prepare everything in advance accordingly.

Well, since I couldn't use the card, I decided to return the card back.

"Norsan, I will be going first. Goodbye~" I greeted Norsan as we stood from our table.

"Yes, have a safe trip everyone."

Then the three of us left the guild, heading toward the jewelry shop to order our cuffs.
