Chapter 27 Part 3

Zhou Tingsheng followed Ye Qiao in . The lobby was decorated like a wealthy house from
the early twentieth century . Zhou Tingsheng disapprovingly looked at Ye Qiao: “Do you
have to pick such a pretentious doctor?”

Ye Qiao was willing to give the doctor a fair chance and replied: “I didn’t pick it . ” Qianxi
was a fangirl of and addicted to British dramas as well . The peculiar style
of this doctor seemed to fit Qianxi’s aesthetic taste . She tried to appease him and herself:
“There aren’t many psychiatrists in this country . It’s even harder to tell which private clinic
is reputable . They say this is one of the best in the area . ”

Zhou Tingsheng sneered: “His reputation is probably built by his family’s wealth?
This kind of decor more suited for a restaurant . ”

“Food and s.e.x are only human nature . It’s all you know . ” Ye Qiao’s use of the cla.s.sics,

made it difficult for Zhou Tingsheng to find a comeback . While the office manager was
notifying Dr . Wen, he cornered Ye Qiao and spoke dourly: “Ye Qiao, look at how you
speak, how you act, is there anything abnormal about it?”

Startled by the longs arms blocking her way, Ye Qiao asked in confusion: “What do you
mean?”

“What I mean is that you aren’t sick . ” Zhou Tingsheng was one head higher than her, so
when he looked down at her, she could see the tiny wound which had just healed on top
of his lip . He paused, then continued: “It’s only normal for people to have some psychological
needs, you don’t have to dig for a reason from a scientific perspective . ”

Ye Qiao innocently raised her eyebrows: “Then what to do if not from science? To believe in
G.o.d, like you?”

Zhou Tingsheng frowned .

Ye Qiao lifted her two palms in front of her: “I have no intention to offend your religious
belief, but I’m an atheist . ”

Zhou Tignsheng ignored her attempt to lighten up the serious discussion . He looked at
her sincerely: “No matter what kind of habits you have, I don’t mind at all . ”

“So that’s what you mean?” Ye Qiao finally figured out what he thought her “psychological
problem” was . She met his eyes and teasingly said: “En, thank you for accommodating me .
But despite that, even if you don’t mind it, someone else would . I feel I have to take care
of it along with the other problems . ”

Zhou Tingsheng didn’t really hear the last part of the sentence . All his attention was on the
words “someone else . ”

What did she mean someone else? Her boyfriend in the future or even her husband?

Ye Qiao suddenly felt the pressure coming from the man in front of her . The grave look on
his face felt like lead on her shoulder .  She found it rather unbearable . An absurd idea
flashed in her head . She asked without much thought: “Zhou Tingsheng, you aren’t getting
serious about us, are you?”

The pupils in those sharp eyes quivered ever slightly, he squinted . It was a sign that he was
evading .

Ye Qiao couldn’t believe what she saw and laughed pretending not really care: “Really?”

Something flashed in Zhou Tingsheng’s eyes and his Adam’s Apple rolled up and down:
“I mean, will you go out of this door with me?”

Ye Qiao hesitated and sorrifully said: “No . ”

Zhou Tingsheng was so dejected that he almost felt like swallowing her whole . The
manager’s footsteps came down the other side of the hallway . Ye Qiao took the chance
to break away from his arms, leaving the glooming Zhou Tingsheng behind, who now
looked somewhat dangerous and unfamiliar .

When the manager came near, Ye Qiao asked: “Is Dr . Wen ready to see me?” Her firm
and polite tone made his insistence seem ridiculous

The manager gestured to Ye Qiao: “Please follow me . ”
