Potion Maker Chapter 23: Fighting The Alpha

After several rounds of fighting, two more wolves lay dead as Will panted for breath, looking at the alpha standing in front of him baring it's fangs as it's red eyes glowed with it's deep growls, Will couldn't help but feel a feeling of panic.

The other wolves tightened the circle once more until the alpha made them stop.

As they stared at each other, the light of the moon started to pierce through the shadows of the forest, with several beams landing on the ground surrounding the alpha and Will.

A gust of crisp cool wind blew past, carrying the scent of blood even further into the forest, slight rustling sounds could be heard in the distance as other animals were attracted to the commotion.

Enduring the several gashes that were opened on his body, Will stomped the ground as hard as he could as he flexed his muscles throughout his body.

The alpha took a step back at the sight of him stomping his foot, even though they aren't as intelligent as humans, as top predators, how could they not notice these things?

They even noticed that attacking him allows him to use even greater power than he starts off with.

Lunging forward, the alpha opened it's mouth, aiming for Will's foot.

As the ground around Will's foot started to have small cracks spread outwards he dashed forward, creating a blur with his speed.

The alpha also blurred with intense speed.

While in the air they traded blows, Will noticed the alpha was after his foot, and decided to kick towards the head on purpose.

With the atmosphere shaking from the force of Will's kick, he sent the force towards the alpha's head, the alpha's fur glowed a light silver as it opened it's mouth and bit down onto the oncoming foot.

'What the h.e.l.l!?'

Adjusting his body, Will managed to move his foot as he borrowed the momentum from his kick to spin around and send his elbow smas.h.i.+ng into the alpha's skull.

With a loud cracking sound, the alpha slammed into the ground as it shook it's head, with blood pouring out of it.

Standing up, it's fur started to glow again as it's wound started to heal at a visible pace.

The circle of wolves started to growl deeply at this point as a silver light flew from their bodies into the alpha, causing it to grow slightly in size.

With a tremble of the ground, Will dashed forward as the skin on his legs started to split from the use of such power.

With his bones crackling and rattling, Will sent several punches towards the alpha.

The alpha dodged the punches as it tried to attack Will, allowing an opening to appear, which Will took advantage of.

With a thunderous bang, accompanied by a spray of blood the alpha slid backwards with a high pitched yelp, as it shakily kept standing, glaring at Will.

Will's arm flopped to the side of his body with blood pouring out several places where the skin was torn from the force of his muscles.

While standing, he could even feel the clicking of his bones that cracked from all the force, causing waves of pain to run rampant in his body.

There is no need to mention his legs, some places, even the bone was visible.

As Will stood staring at the alpha with a trembling body, the blood pouring from his wounds started to soak his tattered clothes.

It looked like he was wearing shorts now, because the power he used caused his pant legs to explode.

Gritting his teeth, Will glared at the alpha as he started to flex his muscles once again as he lifted his leg slowly to stomp down.

The shaky alpha's eyes flashed with fear as it turned around with it's tail between it's legs and ran,

with the other wolves reluctantly following.

He managed to kill three of these wolves, and managed to severely wound the alpha!

It's all thanks to his ability to acc.u.mulate muscle power!

Hearing the rustling in the distance, Will quickly left the clearing as his body kept sending him complaints.

After stumbling around for a few minutes, Will's vision finally went dark at the sight of a ravine, relieved, he rolled down to the bottom stopping at the side of a small spring.

Fortunately, the ravine only had the depth of three meters, otherwise Will might not have survived the roll with his injuries.

Will slept deeply that night as his body felt a strong attraction to the spring that gurgled next to him.

As the spring water splashed onto his body, the wounds on his body started to close at a visible speed...
