After three days of travel Will and Cecily entered the forbidden zone. Reaching this far, they only had four days of extremely fast travel until they got to the sect.

While they were traveling, Will's urge to collect ingredients appeared once again stronger than usual. He had a feeling that he would regret it if he didn't stop to collect whatever ingredient it may be.

When they entered the forbidden zone, the slightly barren land that they were in before gradually turned into a partial swamp land with patches of solid land scattered about.

The feeling he got came from a spot of land full of green vegetation that radiated vitality.

Will made eye contact with Cecily and she started to land her flying treasure. At this time, although you couldn't say that they completely understood each other, you could still say that they can communicate with their eyes.

Cecily attributes Will's strange behavior to him being a rejected, since each rejected has strange abilities. She has long since gotten used to stopping to collect an item or two while they traveled.

The rate at which they stopped to collect items increased dramatically once Will realized Cecily had a storage ring, causing Cecily to regret using the storage ring in the first place..

As they landed on the spot of land, they were struck with an aura of vitality that caused all the exhaustion they acc.u.mulated from travel to be washed away in an instant.

Although they are cultivators, the travel still caused them to become exhausted, traveling at such a speed that every second causes at least five shock waves will do that to you, even a cultivator at the sacred level will feel exhaustion at that travel speed, especially with the constant shock waves that would shake the flying treasure.

Although sacred level cultivators can fly without a flying treasure…

"It's coming from the direction that has the most greenery.."

"Okay.."

Looking at an area of the spot of land where the plants grew thicker with an increasing aura of vitality, Will started walking in that direction after notifying Cecily.

Cecily reluctantly followed after, after giving a quiet response.

As they walked through the plants, Will couldn't help but sigh in his heart as he looked at the surrounding plants. He thought it was a disappointment that there were no trees to further increase the aura of vitality.

Plus, mana is attracted to places with more vitality, the more plants that grow in an area, the more mana will be in that area. So places with more vitality are places that are great to cultivate at, for Will, those places are great places to make potions.

After walking for several minutes they started to smell a relaxing fragrance that caused their blood to circulate rapidly. Feeling excited, Will rushed forward completely forgetting to check the surroundings.

Cecily even had a rare face of excitement, but her excitement soon vanished when she noticed Will charge into the greenery without checking the surroundings.

"Will, keep your guard up!"

Cecily's face paled slightly as she ran into the greenery after Will, any magic plants that grow will be guarded by a beast. The higher grade the plant, the stronger the beast guarding it.

Will seemed to completely ignore that fact as he seemed to be consumed with the thought of grabbing a rare ingredient.

When Cecily caught up to Will, he was holding a ginseng plant that seemed to be covered in red veins that glowed gently.

"What are you shouting about? There is nothing here besides this handy plant"

"That's strange, there are usually beasts guarding plants like these, either way you are lucky. That's a thousand year old blood ginseng, when eaten directly it can increase your vitality by several times, even more when refined into a medicinal pellet"

Grinning at Cecily, Will sat down on a ma.s.sive red log that laid next to where he picked the ginseng.

"Well, I don't know why any beast would want to be in this land that is mostly swamp, so why are you worrying?"

Cecily looked at Will as she sighed in her heart, 'He still has more to learn about this world.. I didn't tell him some things on purpose, he needs to experience some things himself to truly understand this world'

Cecily walked over to Will and stored the ginseng in her storage ring, stretching slightly, she was about to sit next to Will on the log when her face paled instantly.

"GET OFF AND RUN!!"

"What do y-"

ROAR!!

As Will noticed Cecily rapidly step back he could only think that something was seriously wrong with her head, he was sitting on a log, what is there to yell about?

To his shock and embarra.s.sment, just as he was asking her what she was talking about, he was tossed off the log as it roared!

Standing up, what looked like a blood red crocodile looked at Will as it shook in rage. Not only did the lowly human take it's ginseng it needed to breakthrough, he even sat on it!

It managed to keep calm when it saw him take the ginseng, as it was curious about what he was going to do with it.

It kept quiet when it was sat on thinking that the lowly humans were too stupid to figure out what it was and would leave the ginseng behind.

Even if it was sat on it would be fine as long as they lost interest in the ginseng!

Not only did the human sit on it, he even took the ginseng! There was no way it could remain calm even if it was Buddha himself!

Sadly, because the beast hasn't encountered humans since it's first day alive, it a.s.sumed they were a stupid and uncivilized group of creatures.

It had no idea that because of it's inexperience it would make such a mistake as to think that humans were the stupid ones.

"What the h.e.l.l is that crocodile like thing!?"

"That's a blood dragon! It's a level three magic beast at it's current age, once it gets out of it's adolescence stage it would instantly become a sacred level magic beast!"

Will looked at the blood dragon as it shook with rage, it's eyes had an expression as if it was wronged. Noticing Will's gaze, it felt even more provoked than it already was. Letting out an enraged roar, it charged, its only target being Will.

"Can we talk this over!?"

ROAR!

"I guess that's a no.."

Will jumped to the side and avoided being trampled as he prepared to confront the blood dragon. Not feeling like fighting a close battle, Will picked up a st.u.r.dy branch that was laying on the ground.

Although there were no trees in this patch of land, there still happened to be a few branches strangely enough.

As the blood dragon kicked up dirt in it's charge towards Will, Will struck himself a few times with the branch he found to generate more power then he would just flexing. Deciding he inflicted enough pain on himself, he sent his freshly generated power towards his right arm as he used the branch as a spear and sent it flying towards the currently roaring blood dragon.

As the surrounding vegetation shook with every step of the blood dragon, the blood dragon hurriedly closed it's mouth as it realized what was happening. It started to regret not shutting it's mouth after the first roar it let off.

With the sound of the air splitting, like a streak of lightning, the branch slammed into the blood dragon's closing mouth.

Blood sprayed in every direction as the branch kept flying into the distance as the blood dragon roared it's last roar.

Cecily clapped as she walked over to Will with an innocent smile on her face.

"Why didn't you help!?"

Standing up, Will glared at the innocently smiling Cecily as he felt welts forming on his left arm from when he hit himself.

"It was targeting you, not me. I would've helped if your life was in danger.."

Will gave up when he heard what she said, he was too tired to play around. He sat on the now dead blood dragon so he could catch his breath.

While resting, he enjoyed the breeze that carried the scent of the countless plants on the spot of land.

He gently patted the blood dragon's body as he felt his stomach rumble.

"That thousand year old blood ginseng is pretty rare you know, the older it is the rarer it is. Make sure you don't go showing it off when we get to the sect"

Even if she was as dumb as a log, she would still warn Will, even though she doesn't want to admit it, there are some pretty hateful characters in the sect.

Besides, Will wouldn't even have the chance to let anyone that isn't part of a demonic sect know about his treasures, because he would be busy trying to stay alive..

"I am not an idiot you know"

"Haha"
