Super Driver Chapter 51

At Dongjing Grand Marshal's house, unusually Gao Qiu's room had its lights on.

Outside the room, the servants too felt that it was odd. It was a generally known fact that Grand Marshal (GM) Gao usually slept early. The times when the lights were still on were mostly when he was busy with his official duties.

Thus, the servants all stayed far away. Even if they had to pa.s.s by his room, they would keep their voices low.

However, the truth was that GM Gao wasn't busy at all tonight. He just couldn't sleep.

It was indeed strange. Whilst having dinner this evening, he had felt his eyelids flicker and his heart fl.u.s.ter, especially when he heard the caw of an old crow from the eaves outside of the house. He felt that something wasn't right.

It was why he returned to his room early and lay on the bed after lighting up the room.

Gao Qiu had harmed quite a number of people, but there shouldn't be anyone in Dong Jing who would be able to barge in, his place was heavily guarded after all.

He slowly shut his eyes, but not long later, Lin Chong's image suddenly appeared before him.

He was so frightened that he sat up immediately. However, he didn't see anyone in the room. He then lay back down, feeling safe.

Not long after, he fell into a deep sleep.

But then he woke up again, after a nightmare.

Rubbing his eyes, he once again saw Lin Chong in front of him!

Other than Lin Chong, there was another young man who was eyeing him covetously.

At first, Su Qiubai thought that old thief would be scared to death from finding him and Lin Chong right before him!

However, who knew that Gao Qiu would just blink at the two of them, scratching his head and muttering to himself.

“I'm old already, that's why I keep getting these nightmares!”

With that, he left the bed and walked towards the table.

Lin Chong was red-eyed, glaring at Gao Qiu the whole time. His body shaking uncontrollably.

Su Qiubai was a bit confused.

This old man is really amazing. He's so calm even after seeing Lin Chong!

Gao Qiu poured himself a gla.s.s of water. Turning back and staring at the two of them, he started feeling a bit strange, “Quickly leave me!”

After hearing those words, Su Qiubai would have probably started laughing if it wasn't the loathing emitting from Lin Chong making him a little depressed.

“Gao Qiu, you old thief, can't you recognize me? You ruined and killed my family, forcing us to run away from home… Today's the day you pay!” Lin Chong finally spoke, and then charged towards Gao Qiu.

Gao Qiu finally realized something was wrong. His eyes filled with fear.

In the next second —before he could cry out for help—a knife flashed and his head rolled across the ground.

Early the next day, Su Qiubai went back home after saying goodbye to Song Jiang and the others. Perhaps in the entire world, only he and Lin Chong knew who killed Gao Qiu!

When he returned to the hospital, he found one more person in the ward besides Su Xiaoxiao and her friends!

Su Qiubai was struck dumb when he saw Xia Rongrong.

He didn't think that he would see her here.

A tint of happiness unknowingly appeared in his eyes.

“Brother… Sister Rong Rong said that she's your friend. She's been here taking care of me since last night.”

Peering at Su Qiubai, Su Xiaoxiao spoke first, her two roommates nodding along as well.

“You… Why are you here?”

Finally, Su Qiubai reacted and revealed an embarra.s.sed smile. Scratching his head, he asked.

Xia Rongrong chuckled. She was always like this. She was as beautiful as a snow lotus flower, anyone who saw her would surely feel joy.

“I was worried so I came to visit.”

Facing Su Qiubai, Xia Rongrong's voice was very soft; it held a kind of gentleness that she had never noticed before.

“No problem, everything's solved. You didn't have to come here.” He approached her with a smile.

“Yeah… Xiao Xiao told me.” Nodding, Xia Rongrong blinked.

The two of them only spoke that much but the three other girls had already noticed that something wasn't right.

 Zhang Wen smirked a little, and then gently nudged Xiao Xiao's arm.

Su Xiaoxiao also blinked her eyes, giving a sly look. She looked back at the couple who seemed to be in their own world, and softly coughed.

Both of them stiffened upon hearing Su Xiaoxiao's interruption.

Su Qiubai was still a little awkward but smiled happily, while Xia Rongrong was a little red in face. She quickly looked away from him.

Coincidentally it was time to change Su Xiaoxiao's infusion bag, so Xia Rongrong immediately stood up and announced that she was going to look for a nurse. She then hurried out, completely forgetting that there was no need to leave as there was a help b.u.t.ton on the bed.

Seeing that Xia Rongrong had left, Su Qiubai switched his gaze back to his sister.

“Brother… Do you like sister Rongrong?”

Su Xiaoxiao asked with a snicker and a blink of her eyes.

Her words made Zhang Wen and Xiao Li laugh. The old driver could only cough dryly.

“Brother, if you really like Sister Rong Rong, then you have to hurry up! She's such a pretty lady, there must be a lot of people going after her! And she's really careful. Since yesterday, she'd insist to do everything here, and she didn't even sleep last night. So I think she must be interested in you too… Rest a.s.sured, I'll inform our parents!”

To Su Xiaoxiao, her brother's marriage must not be done sloppy!

Their parents had no idea, but she knew that Su Qiubai had liked Liu Mo in college. At that time, they were even thinking of getting married. However, she ditched him after graduation.

She even despised him because his family was poor and couldn't afford to buy a house.

Although Su Qiubai had always said that he was fine, Su Xiaoxiao knew that the breakup was still a big blow on him. He didn't talk for a few months. It was only later that he was able to recover a little.

Since then, Su Xiaoxiao had been worried about what kind of woman he would fall for again, and whether would they hurt him.

Su Qiubai definitely didn't know how much  his sister had thought about it. When he heard that Xia Rongrong had actually came all the way from Qinghe City, he felt moved.

Other people didn't know about Xia Rongrong's ident.i.ty, but he did!

She was the CEO of the Xia Group. And yet, she rushed to the hospital from so far away and at night, without bringing anyone to serve her, just to take care of Su Xiaoxiao when he wasn't around.

Men's emotions were often a moment's impulse. And at that moment… he indeed felt something different.

Seeing Su Qiubai smile silently at himself, and not knowing what was going on in his mind, Su Xiaoxiao couldn't help but yelled at him.

The old driver only then reacted and quickly asked her to repeat what she said. The two other girls laughed simultaneously.

Su Xiaoxiao helplessly glanced at him, just treat it as if I didn't say anything at all! Obviously, my brother's really interested in Xia Rongrong.

Thinking of it, she suddenly felt happy. Although she hadn't spent much time with Rong Rong, she could tell that Xia Rongrong was a good woman. Indeed she was quite a match with her brother!

In Su Xiaoxiao's heart, not every lady was compatible with her brother.

Su Xiaoxiao suddenly recalled Liu Mo, she frowned slightly, and secretly asked, "Brother, is Rong Rong rich? She seems like quite a rich lady. If you pursue her, will she ditch you?”

Su Xiaoxiao still thought that her brother was just a poor taxi driver. Even though she knew from Xiao Li that her brother had actually transferred a lot of money to her bank account, she still chose to believe that the money was borrowed.

Su Qiubai didn't know how to answer her question, especially the fact that he had become a shareholder of Xia Group. Especially that, he hesitated to tell Xiao Xiao because he wasn't sure if it was a good thing or bad thing in the first place.

In the end, he decided to lie for now.

“She's just an ordinary staff, not rich.”

Su Xiaoxiao was relieved to hear the news.

Then Xia Rongrong came back with a nurse. The nurse helped to change Su Xiaoxiao's infusion bag.

After all was done, she noticed that the three girls across from her looked unusual.

Even Su Qiubai… seemed to be a little different.
