“Who do you think you are? You think you have the rights to evictus?” Asked Cheng Xiao Xiao sternly, with a cold look.
She might look like a pushover, but she was not the kind who’d letpeople walk all over her.
Under Cheng Xiao Xiao’s sword-like stare, even An Hung niang was a little intimidated. Not tomention the two dogs that were starting at her.
“Just you guys wait!” Even though she was a bit intimidated on theinside, An Hung niang wasn’t going tolet it show. She looked straight at Mrs. Cheng, the one she to her seemedeasiest to bully, and shouted, “Mrs. Cheng, don’t be so ungrateful! Who letyour family of six stayed here back in the days? Now that your situation isimproving, have you forgotten that it was us who had taken you in? I am tellingyou, you better let me go. Otherwise, I will make sure you won’t be able tostay here any longer!”
“….” Mrs. Cheng was looking extremely displeased.
Surely, Patriarch Liu was generous enough to let them settle downthere back in the days. But they didn’t take advantage of the villagers either. They have given each villagers 1 tael of silver. She couldn’t believe An Hung niang was throwing this back at her now.
Cheng Xiao Xiao had no idea of what really transpired, but sheknew that her mother was a kind person, and didn’t want to see her beingbullied, so she said directly, “An Hung niang, let’s wait and see who was the ungrateful one here!”
“You useless tramp, your whole family is shameless…”
“Shut your mouth!” Shouted Cheng Xiao Xiao while staring at herwith disdain, “One more word and I will have the dogs drink your blood and eatyour flesh. Go ahead, try me!”
She didn’t care if An Hung niangwas only targeting her, but she wouldn’t let her insult her family. She wouldnot let anyone hurt her family.
Right at this moment, Cheng Zheng Bin, who had entered the houseand came back out, called out to his older sister, “Big sister, dad said don’tbe afraid of her! These all belong to us!”
“Bulls.h.i.+t, you…” An Hung niang, who was just about to jump up andshout back, caught sight of Cheng Xiao Xiao’s fierce look and stopped herself, rememberedwhat she said about drinking her blood and eating her flesh.
Mrs. Cheng was also shocked by the gorythreat coming from her daughter. She lips moved slightly but she didn’t sayanything.
Cheng Zheng Bin didn’t think much of it. Asa matter of fact, he was quite supportive his sister’s defiant style.
From afar, a group of young and elderlieswere approaching them. They could tell these were Willow villagers. The trappedAn Hung naing smiled triumphantly.
Cheng Xiao Xiao didn’t show any change ofemotions. Her eyes flickered as she looked on at the individuals brought by heryounger brother Zheng Yuan. Frankly, she didn’t know too many to find out aboutthe changes of her family. But she also understood that it was impossible tokeep it a secret. Perhaps it would be beneficial for them to find out about itnow. After all, she planned on going to the marketplace in a couple of days, others would find out sooner or later. She should take this day as anopportunity to let the Willow villagers find out the changes of her family sothey wouldn’t think much of it later on.
As everybody looked on, the Willowvillagers came closer and closer. Other than Patriarch Liu, there were a fewother men and woman, along with a few rug rats.
“Mom, big sister!” Cheng Zheng Yuan wiped away his sweat andwalked to stand beside his older sister.
Cheng Xiao Xiao nodded at him. Worries flashed pa.s.sed Mrs. Cheng’seyes. Sure, her past life wasn’t ordinary, but she had never been in asituation like this before. She resorted to letting her oldest daughter tohandle this.
“Patriarch, please come and be the judge of this! The Cheng’s familyhas gone too far this time! They told these two wild dogs to drink my blood andeat my flas.h.!.+ Yo!!u need to give me justice!”
“An Hung niang! Whatnonsense are you talking about?!”
“An Hung niang! Why wereyou here stealing stuff?”
“What happened?! There really are two dogs here!”
“d.a.m.n woman, are you crazy? What are you doing at the Cheng’s?!”
