Chapter 2161 The Celestial Trickster - Part 1
"Oh come on!" Jin saw the developments and could not believe his eyes. He wanted to tell Krishna to not be petty but he was unable to. Who in their right mind would believe that their enemy has a way of resurrecting their allies for him? And if so, who would even be in a sound mind to believe an inferior being, aka humans, have the ability to resurrect a G.o.d?
Jin contemplated on using Lord Vishnu to battle since there was a chance that Krishna would listen to reason regardless of how blind the rage was due to the absurdity of the situation but the System recently informed the King of Ress that the interdimensional barrier was being held up by the G.o.d of Preservation.
If anything were to happen to Lord Vishnu, the barrier would come tumbling down and things might turn for the worse.
Besides, it was not as if he had no allies to rely on.
All he needed to do is to contain the situation from allowing it to escalate further and bring the Celestial Trickster down before things turn into further s.h.i.+t. That was where he wanted to turn his head towards Kraft, his own residential Trickster. After all, he might find it fun to fight against another trickster of considerable power.
Yet at the same time, Jin had already asked him for a favour in fighting against the Celestials.
After all, he needed to ensure that his bellators were able to be at least on par or better than the 'mid management' tier of Celestials or else, Jin would have a problem keeping his promise that he could deliver the entertainment that could shake the Celestial plane.
"How the f- can these Celestials earn the respect of us humans? It is as if the term G.o.d fearing citizens was created with the meaning being literal." Jin shook his head and decided to call the next best few candidates to mind. The rest of the other Bellators.
With the System in his possession, he was able to call forth them as easily with a command from his mouth. Not to mention, it had been a while since he called them out and he believed that there were two in particular who had been bearing grudges for the Celestials ever since they entered the plane to rescue Jin's body.
It was definitely none other than Peppers and Milk.
"Master!!!!" Both Milk and Peppers heeded his call when he gave the signal, allowing the System to teleport them right in front of him.
"It felt like a long time since I saw you guys," Jin said at which Peppers wanted to give a sarcastic remark but Milk stopped her from doing so by covering her mouth.
"We understood the situation. The System has given us an overview of things." Out of the two, Milk knew the gravity of the situation and already started to pull Peppers out of the throne hall and to the balcony of the Royal Castle to a.s.sess the situation that Krishna had created.
While Kraft was no doubt THE master when it came to psychic attacks, Jin had confidence that Milk and Peppers could do the job for this matter. In fact, they might be more suited for this mainly because all the RilfeMages had been trained to withstand psychic attacks due to their rigorous training with Kraft and his Star Foxes.
Thus, their only concern is to shut the enemy armies down and treat them back to their usual self in order to gain favour with the Celestials.
If it were to leave it to their resident Devil Fox to do things, it might lead to the destruction of the enemy forces. It might be an acceptable outcome but it is not the most favourable one. Their army might possibly be decimated given that Kraft did not give two hoots about caring for the enemy.
However, if it was Milk and Peppers, things would be different. Jin could be able to salvage the situation since the ceasefire had been enacted prior to this sudden outrage of the Celestial Trickster. His Priestess Bellator would deal with the infected mind controlled armies while Peppers would have the one to one battle with the Celestial trickster.
Still, it was easier said than done, especially since the start of Krishna's blind outrage, the remaining Celestials aside from Parashurama and Kalki were not aware of the overall situation that was happening. What prompted Kalki to ask for a ceasefire and now are they working for the humans or are they still on the Celestial's side?
It was to the point where internal conflict was bound to happen and things were not pretty until words were being sent out during the clash of battle in hopes that things could be sorted out before anyone would get hurt.
Obviously, with two of the best warrior Celestials from the Dashavatara side being 'technically' on the humans, Peppers would most likely be not disturbed when she engaged with Krishna. Thankfully, things for one were proceeding as planned as Jin and the System informed the Rifle Mages to continue to hold their fire and only attack if they were forced to do so.
The various teams attempted to comply with this order to the best of their ability until Milk requested that the Rifle Mages aid in her act to save the mind controlled Celestial Armies. All she needed from them was to ensure the Celestial Armies were rounded up so that the area of casting would be more specific and she could focus better.
Still, the area she had to cover was huge and she needed to do it in phases to do so. All she could hope for was that Peppers as well as their temporary allies would perform their duties in keeping the Trickster busy so that he would not have time to even focus on the Celestial Armies and buffing them or casting his mind control again.
"Gah, why think so much when I can do just this!" Peppers said to herself even as the flood of instructions filled up her head when she closed into her target. The moment she was in range, she fired off multiple magic bolts towards Krishna to catch his attention, not knowing that those bolts were a trap.
