Chapter 14 Who Did She Provoke Before She Got Beaten?

Ji Xiaotiao was full as she walked into the school. The meal went well this time. Xu Moqi, though a disagreeable boy, hadn’t made any trouble.

Alas . . . last time, he’d asked the waitress to resign and leave. Although it had nothing to do with her, she was there. It was reasonable that she should apologize. What’s more, the girl named Yue happened to be studying in Yinghua.

Ji Xiaotiao felt so sad when she pictured Yue’s pale face from that time. What he said was really astounding. She did not know why he said that. Maybe she was too indulgent with him, so he didn't show any mercy to others.

Apologize! She must apologize to her! Ji Xiaotiao walked down the road, clenching her small fist as she seriously thought about this problem. Two fas.h.i.+onably dressed men came up to her and blocked her way.

"Wow, is not this Ji Xiaotiao? Are you going out for lunch again? Alas. . .  What are you doing that for? Poor people like you shouldn't come to Yinghua to study. You’re just asking to be insulted, and others just see you as an eyesore!"

Qianhui kept talking endlessly; Ji Xiaotiao rolled her eyes and took out a tissue to wipe the saliva from her face. When she was about to turn around and run away, she didn't realize that three more people had come from behind and blocked her way.

"Qianhui, is this the student who you call Ji Xiaotiao? I think she looks good. To be honest, she is just a little short and silly. . . "

 the stranger said sarcastically, who seemed to want to be taught a lesson.

Other people laughed as they heard the words. Ji Xiaotiao pursed her lips. That was all right. Just let them talk. They would leave once they got tired.

"Qianhui! I think I saw her walking with Xu Moqi from Fenghua at noon,”

 Moli pulled Qianhui's sleeve and whispered in her ears. Everyone knew that her family wielded great influence in Yinghua City. Hospitals and sanatoriums all throughout Yinghua were all part of her family’s business.

"How could that be possible!? Are you sure you’re not mistaken?" Qianhui asked. She did not believe it. How could the proud prince of Fenghua walk with Ji Xiaotiao, who was just a small flea?

"I hope I’m wrong, too! But . . . But that can’t be the case. I saw Xu Moqi take her to a restaurant for lunch."

Moli looked anxious and angry. It was really annoying! In the beginning, so many rich men’s daughters went to Yinghua to study, for they all thought Xu Moqi would also go to Yinghua. They were desperate to get help so that they could be a.s.signed to the same cla.s.s as him. Unexpectedly, Xu Moqi ended up attending Fenghua Private Male High School. It certainly took everyone by surprise. Although Fenghua was also an aristocratic school, it only took boys. So although these girls were very angry, they could do nothing.

"I don't believe it!" Qianhui raised her fingers angrily at Ji Xiaotiao. "How can someone like her go to lunch with Xu Moqi?"

What!? Ji Xiaotiao blinked. How could they talk about Xu Moqi?

"Tell me the truth! Did you go to lunch with Xu Moqi of Fenghua at noon?” Qianhui asked insistently. The way she looked at Ji Xiaotiao, with her teeth gnas.h.i.+ng, made Ji Xiaotiao swallow unconsciously. If she said it was true, would she gobble her up?

She thought it over carefully. And Xu Moqi told her that she couldn’t say she knew him when she went out. Ji Xiaotiao coughed and said seriously, "No! I had lunch alone!"

Before Qianhui could be pleased with the answer, Moli slapped Ji Xiaotiao. "You’re lying! I saw you with my own eyes, and you cannot deceive us!"

Ji Xiaotiao was beaten inexplicably and her left cheek turned red. She bit her underlip slightly, covering her face with one hand, and made no sound. A group of savages! How could they hit people for no reason?

"Ah! So many people bullying a little girl—aren't you ashamed?"

 A pleasant voice came from a distance. 

The crowd followed it and saw a beautiful girl with a lovely appearance coming towards them.
