Mua Kong gently sat the tea cup next to him, turned his head up to face Hli Ja with a gentle smile, "Mm.. I think I should teach you how to swim first."

Hli Ja was dumbfounded, what he uttered came out of nowhere but it also make sense too. No one taught her how to swim. She had her fair share of bad luck with water but with that also followed by good fortunes. In the end, she could only mutter, "It's good to see you again."

Mua Kong gazed at Hli Ja with a gentle expression and tone, he replied, "Mm... It's very good to see you again... too."

Hli Ja frowned, "Did you knew earlier? Why didn't you say anything?"

Mua Kong chuckled, "Then it wouldn't be fun."

She furrowed her brows for a brief moment and relaxed her face. After a moment of struggling what to do, she let out a big sigh and went to sit next to Mua Kong. She lazily turned her head over to look at Mua Kong. It was then that she noticed the man chopping woods who now was frozen giving them an idiotic smile. She looked at Yee Len who was behind Mua Kong. Yee Len had the same idiotic smile on too.

Hli Ja's eye widened with a lost expression. Mua Kong looked at the direction she was staring at, "Ah.. They are my traveling companions. Sitting next to me is Yee Len and the one chopping woods over there is Chue Yi." When they travel for investigation purposes, they usually introduced each other as traveling companions.

Hli Ja came back to her senses, she replied, "Hmm.... how long are you guys in town for?"

"For a couple weeks." As soon as Mua Kong finished, Yee Len and Chue Yi's jaw dropped. Didn't their Lord said they were leaving this afternoon? It has only been a several hours and he already have a change of heart! Who is this woman before them? Their Lord has never talk this much to a woman before. When he came back from the a.s.sa.s.sination attempt six years ago, he was constantly working, on secret missions and was barely at home other than to report to the King. Mua Kong had refused to take marriages proposed by his father and refused to talk to all the potential future women. He always used the excuse of work and secret missions to get out of marriage talk. But with this woman, he's a completely different man.

Grandma shouted through the window, "Why don't boys take a bath while Hli Ja prepared dinner. Might be a little crowded with you three in the room."

Hli Ja stood up, "Grandma, you..."

"I've prepared the extra room for them. Come prepared the food you brought home. I'm going to organize the herbal medicines for tomorrow."

The lights goes out, the narrator voice came on, "Four years gone by, Mua Kong traveled back and forth from the Kingdom Palace to the city Hli Ja lives in. Their love blooms over the course of the years. Finally, on the fourth year, Grandma became too old and pa.s.sed away. It was then Mua Kong brought Hli Ja to his place.

The King was furious, the son he wanted to rule the kingdom brought in a woman of unknown origins. The King had wanted him to marry the Prime Minister's daughter, Pa Chee. They have position and power to help Mua Kong conquer the continent.

After years of investigations, they found out it was the Southern Kingdom that sent a.s.sa.s.sins to kill Mua Kong. The Southern Kingdom have a diviner who predicted that unless Mua Kong is killed off, their Southern Kingdom would fall. At this point, war is about to break out between these two kingdoms.

As far as the Northern Kingdom, their King and Queen was betrayed and killed by the King's brother. It took 10 years for the former Prince to overthrow his uncle and rightfully take the throne back. The country is rebuilding itself back and is not much of a threat.
