Sun Yi Jia calls Kang Qinw.a.n.g by his t.i.tle ‘Kang Qinw.a.n.g’ and refers to Kang w.a.n.gfei as older cousin-in-law, a much more intimate address. In a way, she considers Kang w.a.n.gfei more as family than her actual older cousin, Kang Qinw.a.n.g.

[2] This is a memorial tablet erected for the living, basically a tablet and altar honoring a great benefactor. These are considered a huge deal, and the purpose is to repay the favor by wors.h.i.+ping their tablet and praying for a long and happy life for them.
