Morning came knocking on her door with a s.h.i.+ning sun, as Lu Zhaoyang opened the door joyfully and stumbled upon a sight.

It was the beast and he had found his Belle.

“h.e.l.lo, girl.”

Huo Yunting stood by her door with a stare emotionally incomprehensible that struck her. He smiled as he beckoned.

“Come here.”

How on Earth did he…

How did he get here? He found all of them?

Lu Zhaoyang hid behind the door and pleaded, “Huo Yunting, can we just divorce and forget all this? Please, I beg you.”

“For the last time, you have no rights to end this game.” Huo Yunting stood still, his index finger carried on calling his puppy home.

Lu Zhaoyang’s body froze as she gradually backed into her house.

“You were the one who forced me to start all this in the first place!”

“Yes, indeed. I forced you to start and you agreed to it. Therefore, only I could bring an end to this.”

Huo Yunting then walked towards her. In fear, Lu Zhaoyang’s pupils shrunk and was planning to run into her room, yet heaven forbade, she banged into Huo Chen in his pajamas.

Huo Chen hugged her tight and turned around to have her behind him.

“Chen…” She blanked out.

“It’ll be alright,” said Huo Chen, patting her, “You have me now.”

“Only if you are alive!” Huo Yunting snorted and brandished a shotgun he pulled from his pocket, before he pointed right between Huo Chen’s brows.

“She doesn’t love you! You can’t get happiness by force!” Huo Chen was unafraid of his threat as he walked a step forward.

“You won’t understand the fun of getting happiness by force.” Huo Yunting then s.h.i.+fted the muzzle to point at Huo Chen’s chest, “Too bad, that would not be the last sensation you’ll have.”

“No!” Zhaoyang screamed.

But it was too late.

Huo Chen fell.

The moment Zhaoyang heard the trigger. Her bubbly dreams vanished, as Huo Chen collapsed before her, with blood oozing out of his chest.

“Chen!” She frantically held him and intensely shook him, “Chen! Chen! Please, stay with me! Stay with me!” Her sleeve was tainted with blood as she tried covering his wounds with her hand. It was proven futile. Her eyes were welled up with tears, “Chen—Chen…” She shook her man with the last bit of strength, as she clumsily wiped her tears away, “Please—Chen…”

That was when a force lifted her by her arm.

“You immoral killer!” She thrashed him in uprising rage, “Let me go! Huo Yunting! Let me go!”

“It’s time to go home. You will only learn your place when he’s dead.”

Huo Yunting lifted her entire body and ran away from the residence.

Zhaoyang could not help but desperately take a last look at Chen on the ground. Her voice shook as she whispered, “Chen—Chen…”

“I’m not going! I’m not going anywhere!”

“Put me down! Don’t take Chen away from me!”

“Ugh!”

That was when Lu Zhaoyang woke up in shock. The lights were on as the door was open. Huo Chen who heard her cries came in instantly.

… Just a dream…?

That vivid…? Hahahaha—A dream…or…a prophecy?

The dream was so real that Zhaoyang could even feel the chill on her back. Her entire pajamas was drenched with her cold sweat.

“Yang…” Huo Chen placed his blanket over her and dragged her into his embrace, “It’s alright—It’s just a dream. Yang, just a dream.” He gave a gentle pat. “It’s fin—” Yang frenzily rubbed Chen’s chest, sighed in relief only after seeing no blood on her hand. She almost burst into tears, “Chen!! It’s just a dream! Oh—Chen! Thank G.o.d it’s just a dream! I saw him—You were there and he put a bullet through your chest!”

It was the first time she actually dreamed about Chen since her mother’s marriage.

She dreamed about Huo Yunting all the time and did not sleep well ever since.

But, the first debut of Chen ended such horrendously in her dream.
