Later, they arrived at the dinner venue, a six star hotel, together. Lu Zhaoyang put an arm around his as they walked on the red carpet at the entrance. The people around them took photos as they walked.

The man beside her picked up his pace and she followed him gratefully.

Soon after their arrival, Huo Yunting found himself surrounded by all the higher level managers for a toast.

Lu Zhaoyang left him to his role and got herself a gla.s.s of fruit juice.

The ballroom was already crowded. A spicy dance routine was happening onstage.

Soon, the guests were ushered to their tables and dinner was served.

When it was time for the lucky draw, Lu Zhaoyang did not move from her seat.

She did not want to draw anything for fear of Huo Yunting manipulating the results and making a fool out of her.

“Why are you not going? Are you not interested in the grand prize?” Huo Yunting spoke to her suddenly.

She replied coldly, “I’m not interested in winning any lucky draw prize. You should just give me the outstanding employee award considering how much I did for you and your company.”

Huo Yunting found something amusing with her reply. He lowered his voice and said, “What you did for me and my company? You always come in late for work and talk back to me. More importantly, you left without applying for leave to go overseas with my uncle. If I give you the outstanding employee award, then something is very wrong with Thunderbolt Corp.”

“…” Lu Zhaoyang’s heart sank. She could say nothing to defend herself.
