While she was showering, Lu Zhaoyang had been trying to devise a way to make him leave. Now that he had left by his own accord, it took her aback.

A white piece of paper was on her dining table. She picked it up and recognized Huo Yunting’s writing on it.

“Dinner was nice. See you tomorrow.”

Huo Yunting thought that timing was very important. Delaying grat.i.tude would bring him even more returns later on.

He was not in a hurry.

The innocent Lu Zhaoyang thought that she had satisfied him with a simple dinner and went to sleep with great relief.

Huo Yunting watched the lights from her apartment went off from inside his car, and then drove away.

The next day, Lu Zhaoyang saw Huo Yunting in the meeting room.

He kept his word!

Lu Zhaoyang asked a few other managers to join her this time to avoid what happened last time.

Huo Yunting took a sweeping glance at the other people in the meeting room. His face twitched with a hint of displeasure as he s.h.i.+fted his gaze to Lu Zhaoyang.

“Let us begin, President Huo.” Lu Zhaoyang’s eyes flashed with triumph as she said with a smile.

Huo Yunting hummed in agreement. He was not in the mood for a meeting and having so many people besides Lu Zhaoyang in the meeting room ruined his mood even further. Huo Li took charge during the entire meeting.

Huo Yunting, on the other hand, simply sat lazily in his seat and took the occasional glance outside or enjoyed some shut-eye. His slender fingers tapped intermittently on the meeting table.

With the exception of Lu Zhaoyang, the other lady colleagues could not help but stole glances at Huo Yunting from time to time, unable to hide their admiration. They probably did not pay attention to the meeting at all.

Lu Zhaoyang felt helpless at the man’s show of mock contemplation. What about the meeting?!

“Alright then!” Lu Zhaoyang interjected suddenly. “Let’s stop here for today. We shall not take too much of your time, President Huo and Special a.s.sistant Huo. We will send over the doc.u.ments once the amendments are made.”

Huo Yunting gathered himself and stood up. His gaze was indifferent as he nodded in agreement and left the meeting room.

“President Huo is so handsome oh my G.o.d!”

“I know right? He makes me feel young again! How on earth did his parents have such a perfect son?”

“Why are we setting the next meeting at Thunderbolt Corp? Are you thinking of enjoying the sight of him yourself, Lu Zhaoyang?”

Enjoying the sight of Huo Yunting? What a joke!

“Didn’t you notice that President Huo was unhappy? Thunderbolt Corp is a ma.s.sive organization, while we are just small fish. We cannot ask them to visit us for every meeting, especially when our president is not even present himself. That would make them think that we lack sincerity. I am just trying to convince them that we are an ideal collaboration partner. That would be good for all of us, right?”

Lu Zhaoyang blabbered on like she meant every word.

“I see, you are absolutely right a.s.sistant Lu!”

“As expected of a former Thunderbolt Corp staff. You really thought of everything. Please don’t be mad, we were wrong about you. Let me buy you a coffee!”

“Okay. An iced Americano, please.” Lu Zhaoyang packed her meeting papers and said with a smile. “Let’s go.”

She was only back in her office for awhile when she was informed that she had a visitor.

Aside from Huo Yunting, who else in the city could be looking for her?

Could it be… Mo Shan?

It had been a long while since she saw her. If it was really her, then she must be ready for trouble.

Lu Zhaoyang set aside her work and went to the visitor’s waiting area impatiently.
