Little Huo Xu did not expect Lu Zhaoyang to agree so quickly. He tapped his chin with his finger with a thoughtful look.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up. “Ahh, let’s go to Z Country! Is Yang Yang not born in Z Country? She must be familiar with the place, and we can save money by not having to hire a tour guide!”

Huo Xu had some petty cleverness and thought that he was smart enough to save money. But when he looked up, he found that Lu Zhaoyang was in a daze without a smile.

“Yang Yang?” The little guy called and looked at her.

Lu Zhaoyang came out of her thoughts. Hearing the name of her home country brought back so many memories. She missed the food, family, and that person, who had been coming into her dreams for the past years.

She wanted to return there but was unsure whether it was the best time and how to face the things and people back home.

Huo Chen had gone to New York. She was thinking of discussing it with him once he returned.

“What happened to you, Yang Yang? If you do not like, we can go to other places. Please do not get upset.” Little Huo Xu thought that she did not want to go back there and shook his head. “We are not going to Z Country!”

Lu Zhaoyang came to her senses and pinched his cheek. “I did not say that I am not going back. Your grandma is still in Z Country. I have always wanted to go back to see her. Let me contact your grandma first. Okay?” Huo Yunting was in the city; if she went to the capital, they might not b.u.mp into each other.

“Okay!” Xuxu was hopeful.

In the evening, after her son fell asleep, Lu Zhaoyang returned to her room and took out her cell phone, standing at the window and looking at the night sky outside. It was 9pm while over in Z Country, it was 9am. Her mother should be awake by now.

She unlocked the phone and called Xue Yuming. The phone rang for a long time before her mother answered with a cold voice. “What?”

“Mom, how are you doing?” Lu Zhaoyang tried to put up a smile, but it was tough to do so. Despite the distance, Lu Zhaoyang could still feel the cold unconcern of her mother.

“Aww, I did not know that you are still concerned about me. Do I have anything to do with you now?” Xue Yuming’s distorted tone of voice and sarcasm fully showed her disgruntlement. How could Lu Zhaoyang not come back to see her after all these years? Since Lu Zhaoyang was so heartless, she might as well disown her.

“Mom, don’t be angry. I may go back to see—” Before Lu Zhaoyang could finish, Xue Yuming had hung up. Lu Zhaoyang’s heart sank. It seemed that going back was absolutely necessary now. Otherwise, her relations.h.i.+p with her mother might come to a bad end.

Huo Chen arrived home the next morning. During breakfast, Lu Zhaoyang told him about her idea of going back with her son. Huo Chen agreed without hesitation. He even volunteered to go with them, or he could be worried.

“Yeah! That’s great! I heard that the children over there all look like me; black eyes and black hair!” Little Huo Xu was full of curiosity about everything there and talked non-stop with excitement.

Seeing his enthusiasm, Lu Zhaoyang made up her mind. She had applied for a half-month leave under the pretense that her eyes needed a rest.

After getting through all the procedures, the three of them hopped on the plane on their way home.

The little guy was excited until he fell asleep after the meal. Lu Zhaoyang looked at him; he had not fully grown up, but she could vaguely see the resemblance to Huo Yunting. She could not help but start to feel nervous.
