“Yang Yang, don’t be angry!” Little Huo Xu swung her arm and sensed that she was angry with Uncle Yunting.

“Oh, you are angry?” Huo Yunting interjected and asked. Being angry meant that he still had a place in her heart.

“Never!” Lu Zhaoyang put away her smile and retorted with a deadpan face. “I came to talk about work. Fooling around during working hours would only look bad on you. I was just disappointed with you. As the president of the company, how will your staff think of you when you do not lead by example?”

“Bah, I think it is a good idea to slack occasionally. It is good for your health. Don’t you think, Secretary Lu?” Did they not fool around here in the past? She had given a lousy excuse. Lu Zhaoyang should know what he meant since she knew him by the back of her hand.

The innocent little guy looked at the two adults and was clueless as to what they were talking about.

Just then, Ming Yue had gotten changed and came out, but her hair was still wet. She got her thinking cap on when she scurried into the lounge just now. Ming Yue had come to grips with the situation and know her place. She now figured that she must not behave unruly in front of Huo Yunting because it would only make him hate her more.

“Yunting, I am leaving now.” Ming Yue ran out like her tail was on fire, cutting through Huo Yunting and Lu Zhaoyang and keeping her head low all the time. She had fallen at the first hurdle, losing her face in front of this woman made her cheeks blush.

“The aunt is rude. She ran through the middle of us two instead of going around us!” Little Huo Xu said aloud.

Ming Yue paused for a moment before picking up her pace. This G.o.dd.a.m.n little rascal, watch your mouth! She said in her mind.

“Xuxu is right. So, let’s not bother Uncle Yunting anymore.” Lu Zhaoyang could not wait to reach for Little Huo Xu. “Let me carry him.”

“Don’t you have a business to discuss with me? Now it is time.” Huo Yunting did not hand over the child to her. Instead, he turned to walk over to his desk.

Lu Zhaoyang had no choice but to follow while eyes affixed on Little Huo Xu. The little guy seemed to snuggle comfortably in Huo Yunting arms.

“Before we talk about business, it is better to discuss where we are going for dinner tonight.” Huo Yunting glanced at her. “I made a blunder last time. This time, the dinner is for thanking the little guy for proving my innocence.”

“Can I refuse—”

“No, you can’t.” Huo Yunting said before she could finish. “Don’t worry, it will not be at my house this time.” He was up-front. If Lu Zhaoyang were still not willing, he would ‘abduct’ the child after work.

Lu Zhaoyang noticed the little guy looking at her in antic.i.p.ation. She pressed her lips and nodded. “All right.”

“Yang Yang is the best. We are going to have a nice dinner tonight!” Little Huo Xu clapped, striking the two blocks in his hands together.

Huo Yunting got the reply he wanted and put down the child, letting him play on his own.

Lu Zhaoyang looked on as Little Huo Xu moved behind the couch. She went over and saw a pile of blocks on the ground. Apparently, this was where he was just now. Feeling relieved, Lu Zhaoyang went back up to Huo Yunting, and their eyes met.

Huo Yunting smiled; he was in a good mood because of her jealous reaction. “Please throw away the s.h.i.+rt that she has worn.”

“Can’t you do it yourself?” She was a secretary, not a garbage collector.

“You are my secretary.” He snapped.

“I am not responsible for your private life!”
