Every cla.s.s in the King of Pantheon had an Epic-Level quest. The difficulty of the said quest was immense and would be extremely difficult to complete but the rewards would be lucrative if the player had the persistence for it.

Li Yi attempted some 20 times in the dark s.p.a.ce. His most successful attempt was shooting down 51 stars, which was close to reaching the quest’s requirement.

Although Li Yi was not an Archer in the past life, he was familiar with the Epic-Level cla.s.s quests available to all cla.s.ses. He might not know the very detail of each quest but he had a firm general understanding of the quest.

In the Archer’s Epic-Level cla.s.s Quest, players would be able to continue with the quest even if they had failed to shoot down 60 stars in the final stage. The only drawback to proceeding as such would be that the player would not receive a reward of 2 Skill Points.

Li Yi was pursuing the all-rounder path where he would master all of the three Archer’s subcla.s.ses. However, as he currently had too many Skill Points added into offensive type skills, the System had cla.s.sified him as an a.s.sa.s.sin Shooter subcla.s.s. With that, the System had a.s.signed him a precision shooting trial. The trial he’d be a.s.signed to would have been different if he had added more Skill Points into the other two subcla.s.ses.

How could Li Yi pa.s.s up the opportunity to obtain the 2 Skill Points?

All he needed to do was to hit 60 stars! He refused to believe he could not achieve it!

Li Yi was getting fired up.

He entered and exited the trial countless times. As Li Yi kept shooting blindly inside the pitch black s.p.a.ce, he eventually started to familiarize himself with the surrounding s.p.a.ce more and more over time.

He no longer needed to wait for the stars to appear. Instead, he predicted the star appearing a second in advance and had hit it spot on with his arrows the moment they appeared.

Li Yi began getting used to it and he had even started using skills such as Chain Arrow Skill, Powered-Up Arrow…

“I’ve been searching for many years in hopes of finding someone to succeed me. Young man, are you willing to hear my story?”

Would he not listen to her at this point in time, after all that effort?

Li Yi nodded.

The Hunter G.o.ddess’ illusive figure started narrating the long history of the G.o.ds.

The Hunter G.o.ddess’ strength had been mediocre among the Pantheons. The almighty G.o.ds were no different than mortals, for they would quarrel and fight for their own benefits.

The Hunter G.o.ddess was a gentle being, she loved the forests and nature. She found the most joy in interacting with the animals and this had made her love the mortal world, she was different from the rest of the Pantheons in Mount Pantheon.

Two factions were formed among the Pantheons at the time. The first faction was lead by the Ruler of G.o.d. He wanted to destroy the world and build it anew from scratch. His vision was to build a world without quarrels. The other faction was led by the G.o.d of Light, who wished for love and equality for all. Conflicts would often erupt among the Pantheons from these two factions. Countless wars, be it publicly or discreetly, would last for tens of thousands of years. The Hunter G.o.ddess had persisted in defending the mortals as she did not allow the Ruler of G.o.d to annihilate the entire world.

One day, the Hunter G.o.ddess had come upon an Ancient Relic by chance. This had shocked the Pantheons and as a result, the Ruler of G.o.d ordered the Hunter G.o.ddess to give up the Ancient Relic or she would be killed on the spot.

The Hunter G.o.ddess had no choice but to hand over the Ancient Relic. To her surprise, the Ruler of G.o.d had deceived her and did not intend to let her go in the first place, he wished to bury all secrets related to the Ancient Relic for eternity. Hence, the Ruler of G.o.d had ambushed the Hunter G.o.ddess and had killed her under Mount Pantheon with his own two hands.

G.o.ds were no different than mortals. They were capable of dying. However, the difference between the G.o.ds and mortals was that G.o.ds could be resurrected if they had enough disciples who wors.h.i.+pped them.

The Hunter G.o.ddess’ disciples had sacrificed souls to revive her. However, as the Hunter G.o.ddess’ spirit tablet had been stripped away by the Ruler of G.o.d, she had become a dark deity.

The Hunter G.o.ddess scorned the Ruler of G.o.d. She then went to Black beard Mike for help, the Dwarf who was recognised as the G.o.d-tier smith. With the hints given by the Ancient Relic and all of her Divine Power stored in her body as a medium to channel the power of the universe, he had created a Divine Bow, the Gift from the Hunter G.o.ddess – the Wrath of the Stars that could destroy everything.

The Hunter G.o.ddess who had exhausted all of her Divine Power had fallen so low that even the power of faith was not enough to resurrect her. What was left of her was just a stream of consciousness.

Black beard Mike followed the G.o.ddess’ order. He used the Wrath of the Stars to destroy Mount Pantheon, wiping it out of the sky. This enraged the Ruler of G.o.d as he sent thousands of Pantheons to hunt Black beard MIke. However, even the might of the Pantheons stood no chance against the pure destructive power of the Wrath of the Stars as they fell one after the other.

The Pantheons who had been killed by the Wrath of the Stars would remain dead indefinitely, nullifying any opportunity to be revived. This shocked all the Pantheons as they had set up the strongest Divine Boundary around Mount Pantheon. Understanding that they would not be able to stand against the Wrath of the Stars, the Pantheons diverted their attention towards the Dwarf tribe itself so Black bear Mike would retreat out of fear for his people.

The entire Dwarf tribe perished due to this. While the outsiders thought that the Fire Devil Ivrit was the one who had destroyed the entire Dwarf tribe, they did not know that this was all orchestrated by the Pantheons. How would Ivrit be able to escape from the seal if not for the Pantheons releasing it?

Black beard Mike had become a sinner in the eyes of the Dwarf tribe and he soon disappeared together with the Wrath of the Stars, never to be found again.

As the players Reputation Value increased, they would hear stories related to the Hunter G.o.ddess from every part of the world. One of the most widespread legends related to the G.o.ddess was her shooting down Mount Pantheon with her arrows.

“Young man. Are you willing to search for the Divine Bow and inherit my will to protect this world?” Hunter G.o.ddess asked as she stared expectantly at Li Yi.

“For humanity and this planet’s sake, I am!” Li Yi tried his best not to feel embarra.s.sed as he raised up his fist and promised her.

“My eyes did not deceive me!” Hunter G.o.ddess was extremely satisfied with Li Yi to the point her illusive figure started fluctuating.

“I sensed that the Pantheons had been acting foolishly recently. I believe that the Ruler of G.o.d is plotting to destroy the world once more. Young man, your strength is far from being able to kill the Pantheons. You’ll only have a chance of defeating them by obtaining the Wrath of the Stars.”

After her spirited speech, the Hunter G.o.ddess became quiet.

Li Yi had no choice but to question her. “Where is the Wrath of the Stars?”

“I can’t locate the Wrath of the Stars.” Hunter G.o.ddess was embarra.s.sed as she shook her head. “My Divine Power is extremely weak and I’m only able to give you a hint. Only an Archer whose skill surpa.s.ses a G.o.d can sense the Wrath of the Stars.”

A bell rang as Li Yi automatically obtained a continuation quest.

The Hunter G.o.ddess rained a bunch of sparkling stars on Li Yi as her illusion transformed back into a rectangular stone.

Li Yi had obtained a buff named the Blessing of the Hunter G.o.ddess where his ATK would increase by 300% for 30 minutes.

It was something useless and would have been ideal if it could be kept by a scroll.

Li Yi got out of the cave as he rushed back to the Blade Peak’s Arena…

As Li Yi walked into the Arena, he could not help but feel shocked.

The circular field was empty and there were only some ten players sparring in the field. It was completely different from his past life where there were millions of people gathering in this place…

“Why is it so empty?”

The Arena’s point reward was directly proportional to the number of partic.i.p.ants. When the number of partic.i.p.ants increased, the number of points rewarded would increase as well. Naturally, the items that could be traded for would be better the more points one had.

“Weak human, your challenger will appear within a matter of seconds!” Shark waved his mighty hand at Li Yi as he talked to him energetically.

Li Yi stood beside him for more than ten minutes and yet the sight of his challenger had yet to appear.

“Sir Shark, where’s my challenger?”

“Be patient for he will soon appear.” Shark scoffed impatiently as he turned his head to face the other direction.

Li Yi felt a little bit speechless.

He was not queued into combat as it was obvious that there was no one around. He remembered in his past life that when queuing for combat, he would almost immediately be transported to the Arena the moment he paid the registration fee.

Li Yi used the Return City Stone to go back to the city.

There would be no difference in where he waited since he had already paid for the registration. He would receive a notification no matter where he was if a challenger was found in an hour’s time. As long as he did not que or enter into any form of Instance Dungeon, he would remain in the combat que till a challenger was found.

Following the Hunter G.o.ddess’ hint, Li Yi went to find his Archer Mentor Raoul.

This quest required the players to run around here and there. The difference between an expert and a newbie was that an expert would know everything beforehand. On the other hand, a newbie could only follow the instruction blindly in order to progress through the quest.

Li Yi bought 200 Bat Tails (Ingredient) from the Auction and returned to his home to take out 30 Rare Fishes before mounting on the Crimson Tiger King as he rushed straight towards the Blood Moon Village.

The Blood Moon Village was the Werewolf’s main city. It was a small run down and tattered village tucked away in a secluded area far away in the mountains. Other than Uriva who was very well known from the village, the remaining villagers were all commoners of young and old. The population was no more than 300 people.

As Li Yi was in the middle of his journey, he suddenly received a notification from the Blade Peak’s Arena.

A challenger finally appeared!

Li Yi accepted the prompt immediately and was transported into the Arena.

The location was the Blade Peak’s Arena but there were not many audiences. An enemy stood in front of him. He was equipped with heavy armor with a helmet that had a bull’s horn. He held a single-handed sword and a s.h.i.+eld and he seemed to be an Armored Warrior.

The Armored Warrior did not hide his face and Li Yi could recognize him immediately. The man stood before him was one of the top ten main tanks, Unending Unmatched!
