Five hours on the ground with resurrection being restricted. That sort of punishment was not something Li Yi wanted to go through.

Xu Man was not ready to let it go, “Are we just going to leave him be?”

“He’ll be lying there for at least 24 hours. Just wait for him to resurrect if you don’t wanna leave.”

Li Yi waved the orange bow in his hand and summoned the Blue-horned Griffin to fly off.

When he killed Hostile Mutilation earlier, he activated the Soul Bind effect of his bow. This move was more monstrous than King of Soul’s Soul Imprisonment, the effect extending up to 24 hours.

With the disbandment of the party, Li Yi flew to the teleportation door to return to Shattered Frost City.

He was duly rewarded from achieving first kills in the dungeons. More importantly, the Reputation Value awarded by the System had earned him Wors.h.i.+p from all major cities in the Eastern Continent.

When the population of players in King of Pantheon reached the billions at the later stages, only three became King of the Continent. There was one King in the Eastern, Southern and Western Continent. Privileges aside, the t.i.tle itself was enough for players to venerate.

Recently, a Castellan had been promoted in both the Western and Southern Continent while the majority were still struggling to get to that position. Yet, Dark Wing announced Throne-claiming at a time like this. He was overtaking everyone by a large margin, stirring emotions in the hearts of many.

Every claimant to the throne was met with harsh resistance no matter who attempted. The number of allies gathered may be the key to increasing the chances of becoming king.

The fact that there was no King in the Eastern Continent was a regret Li Yi had in the past life. Hence, no matter the obstacle, he was ready to take it on.

“The name Eastern Continent sounds lame. I couldn’t change this in the past life but I must change it in this life.” Li Yi made up his mind.

“Dark Wing, take me to switch cla.s.s.”

Li Yi smiled as he replied, “Done being angry?”

Jiaojiao snorted, “Say if you gonna take me or I’ll look for someone else.”

“Who are you gonna look for?”

“Someone better than you.”

“I’m not anyone to you. Who gave you the right to care?” Jiaojiao was p.i.s.sed.

“You’ll be someone to me sooner or later.”

Jiaojiao snorted in contempt, “Don’t bet on it. Maybe in the next life!”

Li Yi in turn, asked, “Do you think something like rebirth would happen?”

“Have you been reading too many novels? Better spend your time on something more worthwhile, like watching some old TV dramas such as My Fair Princess, Scarlet Heart the sort. Amongst the three Camp Heroes, Augustus was the strongest. However, during the eruption of Ancient War, he was not unrivaled. Apart from Pantheon up Mount Pantheon, there were at least ten he could not defeat in the continent. One of them was his nemesis, an evil Paladin named Ca.s.sius who had blasphemed the G.o.ds and abandoned the Holy Light.

Ca.s.sius was once the most brilliant Camp Hero in all of the Eastern Continent. He believed in the Holy Light and possessed incredible strength that even Dreadlord would quiver at his name. However, due to his extreme crimes, his name was wiped out from the King of Pantheon Hall of Fame. Only players who achieved Wors.h.i.+p from all major cities would learn bits and pieces about him through certain NPCs.

There was one thing the majority of players were kept in the dark about and it was the fact that he was Augustus’ teacher. Augustus only became the Camp Hero of the Eastern Continent through his guidance.

Ca.s.sius was incredibly powerful. Augustus had fought him multiple times when his talents first reached its prime. He was no match for him, as he lost every single battle. In Augustus’ heart, his teacher Ca.s.sius was equal to the Pantheon of Mount Pantheon. He forbade any disrespect towards his teacher.

Ca.s.sius disappeared for half a year after his defeat to a legendary Paladin. When he returned, he had already fallen to the darkness, abandoning all his belief in the Holy Light. He harnessed new powers, powers opposing the Holy Light. It was the Necromancy Force forbidden to mortals and spurned by Pantheon.

The Pantheon was enraged, and so was the mortal world. He soon became the subject of condemnation. In the end, even his most admired disciple, Augustus joined the team sent to vanquish him.

Ca.s.sius was besieged by Augustus and the rest at the bottom of Blade Peak. He single-handedly slaughtered several hundreds of famous Camp Heroes until only Augustus was left. He then told him a story before falling into his own death.

From then on, Augustus defended Blade Peak to this very day. n.o.body knew what Ca.s.sius said, apart from him.

In order to switch to the Black Paladin cla.s.s, the first thing to do was to uncover the Black Paladin, Ca.s.sius’ skeleton.

The search for Ca.s.sius’ skeleton was no difficult task. Li Yi relied on his memory from the past life to direct Jiaojiao to Ca.s.sius’ skeleton.

Ca.s.sius died standing up. Although it had been a thousand years, he remained the position he died in.

He had one hand pointed to the sky and the other, holding a sword decorated with pitch black runes that was pierced through his chest. Although he was only bones now, that domineering stance it stood in allowed them to catch a glimpse of his powers during his life.

Li Yi pointed at Ca.s.sius’ skeleton, “This is your ancestor.”

“Your ancestor’s a.s.s!” Jiaojiao was infuriated.

“He’s the King of Black Paladins. All Black Paladins in his words are his progeny.”

“Your ancestor’s a.s.s!”

“So you don’t wanna switch cla.s.s?”

“Your ancestor’s a.s.s!”

Right, just because he let his tongue slip the first time, he had now offended Jiaojiao.

“Go ahead and touch the Runic Sword piercing through his chest. You’ll then activate the quest to switch cla.s.s.”

Li Yi began to tug and pull on Jiaojiao’s a.s.s. Jiaojiao struggled with all her might until she begged for mercy.

Jiaojiao fondled and rubbed her a.s.s as her face blushed red. She walked up to Ca.s.sius’ skeleton to touch the Runic Sword with her hand.

“Wu—”

A dark aura surged from the Runic Sword, entangling Jiaojiao’s hand and spread until her whole body was engulfed.
