Li Yi suggested, “Why don’t we call it a day? Let’s record this down and try again tomorrow.”

Mindless attempts would not lead to anything substantial. Instead, the party would wind up in an endless spiral of failure. Rather than stay here and die over and over again, it was better to have a good day’s rest and allow everyone to think carefully about their performance today. That way, they could prepare themselves for maximum efficiency.

“Alright, then let’s try again tomorrow.”

Li Yi’s suggestion was unanimously approved, so he summoned the red-robed spirit and made a record of the floor with the Record Crystal. That way, they could come straight to this floor next time and continue right where they left off.

The party was dismissed, and the members rubbed the Return City Stones in unison, leaving the area one after the other.

Li Yi went back as well. The Divine Punishment by the G.o.ds had dealt a decent amount of damage to Starting Point City too, and as Castellan, he had to go and note down the losses.

When Li Yi returned to Starting Point City, he saw that more than half of the buildings had been destroyed, and about a dozen NPCs had fled to n.o.body knows where. Initial estimates valued the losses at over a million Gold Coins, at the very least.

Just then, Jiaojiao and the others returned as well. Li Yi asked them to stay online for a little longer and perform ten Major City Construction Quests each before logging off.

Starting Point City was not very large. Li Yi had only reconstructed a small part of the ancient imperial city, not because he was lazy, but because he thought Starting Point City was already large enough.

After they completed their ten Construction Quests each, Starting Point City was more or less good as new.

Jiaojiao, Little Elf from the Magical Realm and the others logged off to rest, but just as Li Yi was about to log off as well, the fat penguin Alenod bounded up to him.

Li Yi truly had not expected this at all. In his mind, while the upper-level monsters in King of Pantheon were very smart, their ‘status’ meant that they could only move in very limited s.p.a.ces. Most of them only existed near their sp.a.w.n spots. He had never been heard of any NPC traversing entire maps like Aersith had.

Aersith raised her hand and her face was immediately obscured in a black robe. This was her form as the intelligent leader of the Traitors’ Alliance.

Aersith seemed a little wry. “Haha, to think that the daughter of the Great Demon G.o.d King is actually a traitor defying the demons! I understand if you find it hard to believe. A long time ago, even I couldn’t quite believe this was real…”

Li Yi said with a laugh, “Lady Demon G.o.d, I don’t think you came all the way here just for a chat, did you?”

“Haha, I came here to ask for your help.”

A demonic full-scale war was a very big deal. In the past life, the Eastern Continent did not have a king and the demons captured their Celestial Capital, so players could not use their teleportation doors or Return City Stones for a whole two months and more.

Li Yi looked at Aersith, utterly surprised. This did come as a shock to him.

The fact that Aersith is telling him that meant that she had well and truly sold out the demons. This had not happened in the past life at all.

‘Could it be because I have a high Affinity with her? So she trusts me?’

“How do you want me to help?”
