In the purplish-red palace, Mo Xi was staring at Bai Yao, who just left. He was a little confused about her expression after the ceremony. He knew she was a witch, having a spiritual power others did not share. But he also found himself being attracted to her special charms.

Though Bai Yao had tried her best to cover her uneasiness, Mo Xi found her different. At first, he thought he was too sensitive, but her frowning face confirmed his guess. She must have found something different about the ceremony, and this must be a secret that could not be told. He wanted the secret, thus he planned to inquiry about it himself.

Mo Xi ran out of the palace directly, searching for her shadow.

Suddenly, a white lady appeared in front of him. His eyebrows rose, because he saw his brother Mo Kai was accompanying her. How could they have any connection? Mo Xi wondered.

He was so unhappy with this truth. Each time he met Bai Yao, he had some hard-to-understand moods; this woman must have some entanglements with him.

Mo Xi rearranged his dress, and walked closer. He knew what he was going to do, and he was very clear about his purpose. The wind blew his hair, suddenly, he had some anxiety, as if the wind also disturbed his heart. Mo Xi walked slowly ahead.

Mo Kai found him and turned to salute to him immediately. "Greets to my Prince brother."

Mo Xi squinted at him and snorted in his heart. But he replied politely, saying, "No need to be overly courteous. I have some business to discuss with the witch."

Bai Yao had no idea what kind of business he would want to talk about with her, but she had no choice but to smile at Mo Kai. "I am sorry, Second Prince, I can't travel with you to the rivulet today. Let's rearrange this."

Mo Kai stared at Bai Yao. Her answer didn't surprise him. At any rate, with her current memory, Mo Xi was the one in her heart. How could she follow him?

Mo Kai turned to leave.

Bai Yao stared at his back, and the memory of the man in purple appeared in her mind again. This time, the man lay in blood under a flowering tree. She called the man master again and again.

But she couldn't remember who the man was. Her eyebrows locked and she called slightly, "Master." She felt a headache and almost lost her balance.

Mo Xi held her up immediately.

Mo Kai heard her calling "Master," though Mo Xi didn't. He understood soon she must have been suffering from a headache. He wanted to turn back to her, but . . . he continued to walk away. With Mo Xi's care, she would be fine.

When Bai Yao felt better, Mo Kai had disappeared already. She was so lost. Why couldn't she feel safe with her lover beside her?

Mo Xi stared at her. "Lady Bai, what's wrong with you? Shall I ask someone to take care of you?"

Bai Yao heard the Prince's soft and warm calling, and she returned to the real world. She replied to him, "Thank you, Prince, I am well now. By the way, you have something to talk about with me?"

Since Bai Yao was so direct that Mo Xi didn't want to waste his time. All of a sudden, he took her hand to lead her to the garden. Mo Xi at this moment was like a light s.h.i.+ning into her heart, so Bai Yao smiled and followed him.

They came to a pavilion at the center of the garden. Mo Xi sent away all the servants. He invited Bai Yao to sit in the pavilion. Bai Yao was so happy seeing the good scenery around them. Mo Xi was so gentle now.

Mother had told her that he was her choice. Bai Yao felt a little shy when facing him alone.

Bai Yao lowered her head and smiled. Mo Xi, for the first time, found Bai Yao's beauty was beyond description. She was so pure and fresh.

Bai Yao blushed, and Mo Xi found his heart was restless. However, he remembered his purpose. He turned to look in the distance, and asked, "Lady Bai, I hope you can answer my question with honesty; would you?"

Bai Yao was so enchanted by the handsome face of Mo Xi right now that she replied, "Prince, you are joking with me. I will help you with all my sincerity."

Mo Xi then asked, "Will I be on the throne in the future?"

Bai Yao didn't guess he would be so straight. She knew he must be staring at her right now, so each of her micro-expressions would not escape him. She smiled and asked, "My Prince, I don't understand you."

Mo Xi was for sure staring at her. He wanted to know if she told the truth in the palace. Her expression at the ceremony just now made him uneasy.

He continued to look into her eyes, wanting to see through to her heart.

Bai Yao couldn't bear his intense study anymore, so she asked, "My Prince, are you making fun of me? The Emperor is still healthy." She bowed to the air to show her respect to the Emperor.

Mo Xi's piercing stare made Bai Yao uncomfortable. Had he discovered anything? She didn't think he could find anything. She told herself to be calm, never let him discover any difference. Otherwise, she would have committed a crime of cheating the Prince.

Mo Xi was confused when he found no clue in her eyes. So he had made a mistake? Bai Yao had not found anything special?

Though he didn't believe her words, he had no way to force her. Even the Emperor took her words as a prediction. "I am sorry that I asked this. Let me send you back home." Mo Xi gave up.

Bai Yao nodded to the handsome man with a satisfying smile.
