Gu Yezhi turned around and walked towards the bedroom. His slender fingers were on the door handle, he twisted the k.n.o.b and found that the door was locked. He smiled helplessly.

 He called Butler Li Shu to unlock the door, then he walked in and closed it behind him.

Inside the quiet room, the lights were on and a big lump jutted out from beneath the sheets of the luxurious queen-sized bed, not even a single hair showing.

Gu Yezhi went over, turned off the light, climbed into bed, gently pulling open the quilt on her head, and lay beside her.

“Groan… " Bai Qingyan muttered. In her sleep, she seemed to smell the familiar scent which belonged to Gu Yezhi, as well as the faint stench of cigarette on his body.

She stretched her hand around Gu Yezhi's neck, placed her legs onto his thighs, pressing her small head on his shoulder as she snuggled into his embrace. Still, she did not wake up, but the corners of her lips were involuntarily raised.

“Oh…” Gu Yezhi smiled and laughed.

She always liked to sleep with him like this. He knew she lacked a sense of security. In the first twenty years, she lived badly, wanted too much, and got too little.

Gu Yezhi held Bai Qingyan tightly in his arms. He gently kissed her, just like touching the rare stone treasures in the world, cautious and solemn. “Yan Yan, why can't you love me?”

Bai Qingyan remained still in his arms, her frowning brows were loosened, beautiful eyelashes tightly closed, and no response was given to him. Gu Yezhi held her in his embrace firmly. Two people were close together.

He hoped that one day he had a place in her heart…

 The next day.

Bai Qingyan woke up, unknowingly moving towards the side, then slowly opened her eyes, seeing only an empty room.

Gu Yezhi did not come back to sleep.

She sat up from the bed, threading her hands into her hair to ma.s.sage her head because of a splitting headache. Why did Gu Yezhi treat her differently now that she was reborn? She was puzzled and couldn't find an explanation for these things. She was really going crazy.

She had an appointment with Qi Lan today and did not have time to think about it. After bathing, she ate breakfast and went to the company. Originally, she wanted to go to the president's office to see Gu Yezhi but, thinking of his sharp expression that could freeze her to death, she decided to put it off till later time.

So Bai Qingyan went directly to Qi Lan's office.

When she arrived, a woman was sitting in front of Qi Lan, giving her a harsh gaze and unwilling to leave.

Qi Lan took a sip of coffee but under her short black hair, her eyes were cold,  “Ji Sijie, n.o.body can help you unless you take care of yourself, understand? Whom did you offend? You offended President Gu!"

 "He just came back to take over GT Entertainment. Didn't I tell you that he had a cleanliness habit and you couldn't touch him? You just didn't listen to it. Now something happened and you admit your mistakes, but it's too late!”

Ji Sijie burst into tears. Although Gu Yezhi only blocked her for three months, these three months were difficult to bear. People who used to be respectful to her now looked at her and ignored her.

 Gu Yezhi's temper was known by everyone, and offending him was the same as a dead end. Who knew if, three months later, Ji Sijie would continue to be suspended?

People in this industry were used to paying respects to those above. Whoever fell down would be stepped on, regardless of their previous status. Yesterday, Ji Sijie was still a G.o.ddess, but it was as if she had become a beggar today. How could she bear to give up?

Just then, Bai Qingyan knocked on the door and pushed it in. Without even looking at Bai Qingyan, Ji Sijie shouted angrily,

“Get out! Who let you in?”
