The dinner was very enjoyable if one didn't think about the unhappy things that happened in the beginning. After the meal, the couple sent Bai Jian back to Bai Residence.

Leaning over the window, Bai Qingyan looked at her uncle with a gentle smile as she waved him goodbye.

Bai Qingyan clenched her fist.

This time around she would let him taste how it felt to lose a loved one.

As the car drove away, she kept staring at Bai Jian until she couldn't see him anymore. Then, she s.h.i.+fted her gaze to Gu Yezhi.

She took the initiative to place her hand on his arm and rested her face on his shoulder. From this position, she looked at the side of his beautiful face.

“Thank you for today, Yezhi.” She mumbled, sincerely.
