While all the marines were stunned, Ian bolted out of the marine base with Cabaji in hand running back to the boat to sail to another island.

But before Ian even get out, a giant Bell made of gold fell from the sky and directly hit Ian, squas.h.i.+ng him to death.

"Oh, no! The bell slip off the island! I guess we can't get it back from the surface, I hope n.o.body got hurt" says an angel on Skypiea.
