At this moment, two more strange Skeleton Knights appeared.

Although these three monsters were stronger than the usual Undead Army soldiers by ten times, they were only level 50 elite monsters after all. The situation was still within the grasp of the players.

What terrified the players was what these three squadrons were planning to do.

As soon as they appeared, they immediately targeted the low-level Skeleton soldiers.

Under the protection of the Skeleton Knight and Devil Skeleton Archer, the Archmage waved its staff. A black flame erupted and swallowed a dozen of the Skeleton soldiers.

When the soldiers were killed off by the players, they became white bones scattered on the ground. However, not before long, the bones would reform and the soldiers would continue their a.s.sault. Strangely when Archmage attacked these soldiers, they were not able to reform. The whole place turned into a sea raging wildfire as dark blue souls were strewn around.

The Archmage once again waved his staff as he swallowed all the remnant souls of the Skeleton soldiers.

The battlefield was momentarily cleared of low leveled monsters and what was left was the high ranking Skeleton Knights.

These Skeleton Knights proceeded to systematically kill to their heart’s worth before calling their other comrades.

After a period of time, more than half of the valley’s low leveled soldiers had been slaughtered.

The players finally understood the nature of the Undead Army. It was an environment where the strong preyed on the weak.

There was limited s.p.a.ce in the valley. Therefore in order to summon more Skeleton Knights to the battlefield, the other Skeleton Knights had to quickly clear off the weaker Skeleton soldiers.

If this situation were to be allowed to continue, the monster of the Undead Army would reach unimaginable levels. It was not completely impossible for it to evolve into its Ultimate Form – Undead Bone Dragon.

When things reached that point, the players here would not be able to hold down the fort. Even if the whole player base of Twilight City were to be mobilised, it might still not be of any use.

“F*ck, this mission is too ridiculous. I want to complain!” Seeing the unfolding battle scenes, everyone wanted to retreat.

When one player began to deviate from the original collective will to complete the mission, others would be inclined to follow his lead.

The platform was just ten metres away from the left side of the mountain wall. It was not conspicuous at all. It blended into the surrounding mountainous terrain that w.a.n.g Yu had previously discovered while rescuing Captain Don’t Open Fire.

“Is that it?” w.a.n.g Yu pointed in the direction of the platform and said, “I saw magic runes there just now.”

“Magic runes?” Fearless eyes lit up. “Let me take a look!”

Fearless waved his staff and gracefully flew up to the platform.

As w.a.n.g Yu had mentioned, the platform had a magic array which was engraved with magic runes. These magic runes looked familiar but they had no magic imbued in them.
