The police arrived soon enough and took Jian Xin’er away. The incident was deemed a civil dispute, which would put her in detention for at least fifteen days.

After all the wicked things she had done, she deserved the punishment.

Once Jian Xin’er was taken care of, An Xiaxia asked Sheng Yize, “How did you two get here?”

Sheng Yize explained briefly. An Xiaxia had sent a message saying that she was having dinner here. Seeing that she still hadn’t returned after such a long time, Sheng Yize and Qi Yanxi came out to look for her.

Papa An frowned. “Xiaxia, go get my medkit. I’ll dress his wounds first.”

“Sure!” An Xiaxia was equally shocked and trotted off to get the medkit.

Just then, a couple walked into the shop.

“I’m sorry, but we’re closed for the moment.” Papa An helped Qi Yanxi to a chair and smiled apologetically at the couple.

“Heh…” The finely dressed woman snickered and complained to the middle-aged man in a suit beside her. “See? What did I tell you? Yanxi is so reckless…”
