He Jiayu swallowed and lowered his eyes.

He knew this big sister. Her name was Luo Qianran and as that name suggested, she had a fresh and beautiful face. He had been secretly in love with her.

He had never thought that this gentle and quiet sister would one day flee with him through city traffic.

“Hold – hold on tight! Don’t fall off the bike!” Luo Qianran said shyly. He Jiayu hesitated for a moment before wrapping his arms around her waist.

The teenage girl’s waist was thin and soft and her tummy was soft and comfortable to the touch.

Luo Qianran stopped the bike at a crossroad and put her helmet on He Jiayu’s head. She said with a smile, “I’m a poor rider and I don’t want to accidentally injure you, teehee~”

That was a smile brighter than any star.

The sound of horns came from behind them. Several vans had terrifyingly caught up with them and a head stuck out of one window, looking malicious. “There he is! Get him!”

Luo Qianran jumped at those words. She then spotted the tattoo on that man’s arm and her face went pale.

“Just go without me…” He Jiayu tried to get off.

There was no way they could outrun those vehicles on this bike. He had bashed that man’s head in and he would live with the consequences. There was no need to get Luo Qianran involved.

However, Luo Qianran was determined. She ordered, “You’re not getting off! I’m your big sister and you have to do as I say!”

She started the electric bike and headed to where there was more traffic. It was a b.u.mpy ride and they had several narrow escapes. Luckily, those men weren’t able to catch up with them.

She cried as they fled. It was apparent that a teenage girl like her had never experienced such an event before.

“Trust me… trust me…” He Jiayu could only faintly remember her repeating those words the entire time. She was saying them to him as much as she was saying them to herself.

“And then? What happened?” Su Xiaomo felt like her heart was going to burst through her chest, but He Jiayu stopped there.

He kept his silence, trying to find a hint of avoidance, disdain, or pity on Su Xiaomo’s face.

But there was none of that. She was genuinely worried about the two people in that story.

He said in a husky voice, “She died.”

That night, Luo Qianran’s bike took them across the entire city. When they were crossing a road, in order to throw those men off, she ran the red light…

In the heavy traffic, she failed to evade an oncoming truck…

He Jiayu could hear the howling wind, the myriad of blaring horns, and the hubbub of the crowd as he was thrown off the bike. He got a few broken bones, but because of the helmet, he wasn’t severely injured.

Luo Qianran’s head was caught under the wheel of the truck and she died a miserable death.

He Jiayu could still remember the blood-soaked road that day.

“The girl you saw last time is her younger sister, Luo Qianxi,” He Jiayu said with a wry smile, and Su Xiaomo bit her lip.

That was an equally beautiful name.

That girl was very pretty despite her heavy makeup. It wasn’t hard to imagine how beautiful her sister must have been.
