FLYING MOUNTS OF THE REALM OF ELYSIAN
WINGED LION - Mount used by the members of the G.o.d of Justice. It is a symbol of holiness and righteousness thanks to the White Flame fire b.a.l.l.s that they are capable of throwing when reaching the fourth tier. The Winged Lion favorite food is the meat of the Dark Talbuk and hates Frost Wyverns the most. They can be found in the NorthEast side of Elysian in places with no clouds so they can bathe in the sun.
NIGHTWING LION - Distant cousin of the Winged Lion and loves the moonlight. Favorite food is the Rainbow Tuna and hates the sun. they can be found close to the forest of Elphinheim near big lakes filled with his favorite food and tall trees.
SNOWY GRYPHON - Powerful creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and sometimes an eagle's talons as its front feet, Favorite food is the mountain squirrel and hates evil hearted people. Gryphons are very difficult to tame but once they acknowledge a companion they will never betrayed them.
The shear amount of flying beast in the Elysian section of the book was incredible, the dedication required to record all the spectacular beast in the book was very commendable and according to the manager with enough time and money they could acquired any of the creatures in the compendium.
Rahz continue to look through the book and finally arrived at the creatures of the Abyss that could be trained and even though the selection was smaller, there were some powerful ones. It took them a few hours to comb through all the section and finally settled on three.
Ridd.i.c.k requirements for a mount were the tightest, his weight was extremely hard for the majority of the creatures to carry around while in the air but there were a couple that met the requirements.
The Chaos Vilebrood Drake : Undead Creature. Keeper of the drake tomb in the south east part of the Abyss. Uses chaos energy to grow and legend has it that there are many that have past the level 50 mark. Only people that have chaos power can tamed them. Special skills : Chaos Fireball, if enough Energy is supplied, it can activate Chaos Destruction Beam.
The Vilebrood Drake was the perfect mount for Ridd.i.c.k thanks to the conversion of Chaos Energy into power that their undead core imbue them with. The more Chaos Power you gave them the more abilities would be unlock and the stronger it would become so carrying him would be no problem.
Jazz's choice was the one with the least problem out of all of them since he didn't weight much but at the same time he didn't have Chaos fire and according to him his songs also affected flying speeds so he wanted something fast and with deadly attacks so he could buff them. When every one suggested to get a Chaos Wyvern he declined stating that he wanted something much smaller.
In the end he was able to find a mount in the compendium that met his requirement although his looks were a little unconventional. It was a chaos bloodfang which was a gigantic Bat that not only could throw his poisonous sputum at his enemies melting them on the spot but it could also lock on to a target using his sonic blast and for the duration of the resonance he would toss chaos fire like a machine gone the target.
They were not the best looking mounts in the realm but its looks didn't take away the fact that they were very formidable creatures. Their upkeep was definitely cheap since they liked to hunt at night, they would take care of it on their own food supply.
Everybody present suspected that not needing money for upkeep was the real reason jazz had for choosing the Bloodfang.
Rahz approached was a little different and he wanted a highly offensive mount with overwhelming offensive power of an element different to the one he used the most which was same as Ridd.i.c.k, Chaos Fire. This was a little difficult considering where they stood but the answer to his problem came from Remulos that always felt an overwhelming peaceful aura from Rahz, it was the same aura that he felt from the only creature that lent him a hand when he was abandoned. Remulos had a hunch that if the 2 of them could form a contract it would be something extremely beneficial for the Realm.
The team teleported south thanks to Giant Blade's wife Liz that was a warlock and was on a loan to Rahz's team since she was level 40 and could make the cut to partic.i.p.ate in the war. Rahz and the others wanted to show their grat.i.tude and give her a mount but they discovered that it was unnecessary when she pull out a little toy looking thing that resemble a dragonfly.
Liz placed the toy on the ground and ask for everybody to move back about 15 feet and then she took out a remote control and pressed the red bottom on it.
Clank… click… clank.. Whoosh
Rahz remembered the time in the Fifth Gate's second room immediately as the little mechanical dragonfly expanded in size rapidly and when everything was set and done a flying s.h.i.+p stood there with pink leather seats.
Liz hopped inside the vehicle and turned it on and as the mechanical wings started to move, dust started to fly off the ground and the machine float it in the air.
WOAH!!
"That is amazing!!"
Even Remulos was impressed by the ingenuity of the people that built that flying machine. Rahz and the others seriously considered saying "screw the beast mounts let's get one of those", but when they heard the price tag on the little machine many cough up blood.
Thanks to Jazz and Elune's Spirit of the Wolf, it took them just a few days to reach their first destination where Ridd.i.c.k's mount was to be pick up. The word tomb created an image of giant buildings and ma.s.sive tombstones but what met their eyes was something entirely different, there were bones the size of small mountains and shrieks coming from up in the air.
There were Vilebrood drakes of different colors in the sky and the size also seem to be directly related to the color of the flame inside their chest that was visible to the naked eye and gave the Drakes their hue. The smallest of the drakes were in the lower part of the sky and painted it a red color and as they moved up, the team could see purple then blue and finally green.
In terms of intelligence the undead creatures were one of the lowest in the food chain so attracting the one they wanted to form a contract with was going to be a little tricky. They figured that the easiest way to do it was to have Ridd.i.c.k release some of his Chaos Aura which was as pure as it could be to attract them but the problem was that it attracted too many and they quickly had to hide.
The number of green Vilebroods were in the hundreds and they were powerful creatures so even with the 2 djinns that were suppose to protect ridd.i.c.k it was impossible to control the situation if they all attacked them at once.
"Young Master, Why don't you tell us which one you want and as long as is not past level 40 we can trap it in the cage and then we can move to another place so you can tame it".
!!!
It was an excellent idea that they need it to try and according to the Djinn looking demons all he need it to do was point to the one he wanted, it was that simple.
Ridd.i.c.k still couldn't make up his mind so he released a very tiny amount of Chaos Fire and left it in an inconspicuous place while they hid and observed if there was a lucky one with a high sensitivity to the fire.
The team didn't have to wait for too long before seeing a midsize drake with a purple flame core running straight at the flame almost cras.h.i.+ng into a wall to get it. The drake reached the flame and look side to side before it opened his mouth and ate it in one gulp. It was at this time that the drake felt a strong suction and even before it could shriek it disappeared from everyone's view and reappeared like a tiny little bird inside the cage. "Young Lord, this is a pretty weak one and Lord Annihilus will be upset if the son of Azgorth was seeing in such a mount".
"Is ok, let's go to a safer spot and see if it can actually do the job"
Rahz just smiled and nodded his head, they understood that levels were not an absolute representation of ability and if it could do the job of carrying Ridd.i.c.k around that alone would be an extreme training regime that would take the drake to a new Level.
