"Thank you for your help guys, we owe you one"
Rahz and the other smile and collected all the weapons from the bandits as their payment and n.o.body in the camp argue about it. Thanks to the enchanted pouch everything was organized and the caravan was ready to advanced once more in no time at all.
The Bandits that ran away were the best way to deal with future attacks since they started to spread the rumor that a demon caravan was on their way to Naas and that anybody that attacked it would die and be digested by demons. After this rumors started n.o.body dare to come within a mile of them.
The town of Naas stood at double the size of Willowdale and it could be said to be getting closer and closer to a city. The walls were made of stones and had paint on them, they were very pleasing to the eye but at the same time made people think twice about trying to bring them down. For Rahz seeing the amazing town walls was as new as when they saw Willowdale for the first time.
Naas was a town that was heavy influenced by the big cities of the Alliance as they were relatively close to them once people started using the aerial taxi service. Merchants and business people were always traveling back and forward in between the towns and the Main Cities, trying to steal ideas they could implement and make money on. The cool part about towns were the diversity of alignments it was a melting pot and this gave raised to opportunity.
It was precisely this town that Amber and Tom had pickup as their retiring destination. With the money from the trip they would have enough to buy a house and live comfortably for quite some time.
Everybody was looking around with smiles on their faces and it was stimuli overload as the amount of races walking in an out of the town were overwhelming. The streets were double wide allowing 2 carts to move in the same direction side by side comfortably and there was even a s.p.a.ce for people to walk around as well. Just looking at the town made them want to spent money.
Since it was cheaper to get inside the town for the member of a merchant party Rahz and the others move along with them until they were inside.
"Whoa!! Look those are flying mounts we should definitely buy some of those"
The people around them just snorted and kept walking away, there was no time to stand around and do nothing in Naas, time was money. Crossing the town's doors was like entering a world where everything move twice as fast. There seemed to be a direct correlation as well between levels and wealth in Naas. Although it was not always the case the people flying about displayed amazing strength.
Tom and Amber looked at the small group of 4 weird looking individuals who helped them cross the bandit tribulation with warmth in their eyes. Their daughter Emma loved to spend time with them and now that they were saying goodbye it was a very sad moment for her as she hugged them.
"Stay a while and enjoy the town, there are so many things to do here as there are clouds in the sky"
All of them looked at Elune who reluctantly agreed, they had been stuck underneath water close to two years and now they needed a break from all that. The team quickly left the caravan and disappeared into the streets.
"What should we do first" Asked Rahz while his attention diverted to every pretty lady handing out flyers trying to get them to visit her shop.
The Witch Doctor looked around and finally didn't have anything negative to say. "We should sell the weapons from the bandits first and then see how much money you can mustard, you shouldn't used the Dark Elves coins liberately. We could try and get some good money in the auction house later on but for now we should have enough to get by".
Naas was quite a big town and from the entranced to the trade district were a few hours by foot and that was true if people knew where they were going. Elune decided to stop a couple of guards that were patrolling the town an ask for directions.
Since Elune was a pretty cute girl the Guards were happy to help and point her in the right direction, as it turned out there could hire a carriage to take them there for a couple of silver.
It was truly a town moved by businessman, as long as money was available everything was possible.
The team got into a nice size carriage and told the guy to take them to the trade district as they need it to sell some weapons. On Naas level of prosperity, enchanted pouches were a normal occurrence so it didn't surprise the driver when he overheard his clients conversation. There were actually 3 Blacksmithing shops in the district but only one resold weapons and would provided them with the best price. In terms of their own products they lacked talent compared to the other 2.
Despite not having excellent products, the store itself was very busy. People were coming in and out none stop and there seem to be a young man in the front directing traffic.
"If you want to buy items please use the line on the right…
If you are here to sell weapons please use the line in the center
If you are here to sell materials please use the line on the left"
Since they were the only one that resold weapons and armor out of the three blacksmiths they monopolize the market by default. Looking at the situation Elune got in the center line while Rahz got on the right to see the equipment they sold and to inquired if they could fixed his Axe.
Elune was able to get close to 500 gold for the weapons they picked up during the bandit raid, as they actually were a few Iron ones in there. Rahz on the other hand was not so lucky, a 2 handed axe made out of Iron of the same quality as the one he had cost 10,000 gold and the problem was it was just too lite. This meant that in order to make it heavier it need it way more material or special techniques. He was looking at 100k easy and that particular store was not the right choice for costume jobs.
The prices told Rahz that it was not the time to get a new weapon and it might be a good idea to get a job while they were staying in town. Na.s.s didn't have a bazaar that allowed people to sell their own products as they had an auction house system that ran on a daily basis. People could pay a fee and place a description of the item and value or even if they were looking for an exchange of sorts, if a buyer was found an exchange of information took place so they could perform the trade. Common materials were sold to stores and if anybody was selling iron they would go to a store such as a blacksmith to trade it.
There were also weekend auctions with more special items but the juicy one happened every month. Unfortunately, only tyc.o.o.ns were able to compete for this amazing things. The entrance fee was already at 10,000 gold unless you had a valuable Item to auction in which case the entrance would be waver.
After the trade district, it was time for the team to secure a place to stay and grab something to eat. Elune told the driver to take them to a cheap but nice place with amazing food and were taken back to the area close to the entrance where a family own local called The Fair Lady stood.
"This is the best placed to stay at a decent price in all of Naas and the food is top notch too. They used local products to keep the cost down and have a menu that changes daily. I have not eaten a bad dish served in there and the rooms are very clean".
Woo Hoo!!.
The team cheered at the prospects of great food and walk into to the place towards the counter. People look towards the door at the beginning but then went about their business there were just too many races in Elysian to be intrigue by the Rahz and the others. Elune met an older lady that had a white dressed without a speck of dust or a single wrinkle on it.
The owner of the place surprisingly enough was an Erudite woman. The Erudite race could be traced back to a human ancestry, however, they became desilusion with the warlike natures of the humans and the Barbarians and decided to leave that behind. Erudites pursue knowledge of the arcane arts and were regarded as the race with the highest intellect. Their most common professions were that of an enchanter.
The lady looked at the four people that had walked through the door and her eyes immediately gravitated to the distortion of mana around Ridd.i.c.ks shoulder.
"d.a.m.n Erudites and their knowledge over mana"
Igor didn't want to be seeing in a town of Naas magnitude since he could be recognize by a fellow demon doing trade and it was better if n.o.body discovered Ridd.i.c.ks existence for the time being.
After scanning Rahz and the others, many things didn't go unnoticed for example the Basilisk that was too low of a level to be recognized as the king of serpents, a pink demon that she had never seen despite the ma.s.sive library of the Erudite City, The spirit in the Dark Elf necklace but most important of all the almost purple Chaos Runes of the Barbarian young man in the bear coat.
"Welcome to the Fair Lady, would you be here to enjoy our restaurant or would you be interested in renting a room to stay"
"We would like 2 rooms and if we can include the meals that would be great"
"The two rooms with meals would be a gold coin per night. And you can get breakfast and dinner"
"Great we would take them for a month"
Elune turned to ask Rahz if a month was enough but they were already at the table asking for the specials.
Sigh….
Elune gave the owner the 30 gold and went to joined the team.
