Elune saw the map in her hands which had now change many times before and sighed with emotion, " After we cross this mountain we should be able to see the portal".
6 months before Igor left the team, "I need to cancelled my contract with the young Master... The enemies of Young Master Ridd.i.c.k in the Abyss are way more troublesome than that puny faction of the G.o.d of Justice and he needs the protection of his father's relic until he meets with the elders at mount Doom, any foul play before the meeting is fair game and by default you guys are involved as well. I will wait for you guys by the Portal and bring the relic with me as long as he doesn't meet anybody at the four tier he should be fine".
The last words Igor had uttered to the team still lingered in their ears but there were alot of things they didn't understand and Igor didn't want to talk too much about it. The plan was for Rahz to reach the Portal alone and then Igor would transfer the relic to him and they would say goodbye until they reach the temple of the dreadnought where another of his fathers loyal helpers would be waiting for him to teleport him to the elders.
Rahz was reluctant about everything but he had to trust Igor to deliver on his promise and as such he made his way towards the enormous portal and if Elysian had a variety of species, the Demons were the most mysterious and weird looking of them all. There were many caravans heading to the entranced with Dwarves, Humans, Beast people which carry goods to trade in some of the demon towns for items that were only available there. Contrary to popular believe the demons and devils were not savage creatures and as all the creatures that evolve the higher the Level the more intelligent the being. However, their ability to level depended greatly from the Bloodline they were born with, through their bloodline they could suppress weaker creatures and make them into their servants, many skills were also transfer this way that were exclusive to their ancestors.
This bloodline transfer was also an opportunity, if you could get the blood from a higher ranking demon then you could evolve further. What Igor said was true, a Val'gun specially one like Ridd.i.c.k would attract many daring demons wanting to put everything on the line for a chance at further evolution. A litre of Ridd.i.c.ks blood in the black market would reach the millions. It was for this reason that the higher ranking ones live and grew in mount doom until they could fend for themselves and had made contracts with many servants.
Rahz made it close to the portal and just walked from side to side like a crazy person, they agreed to meet with Igor but now that he was by the portal it actually dawn on him that they never talk about where or how.
A couple of hours pa.s.sed and just when people were starting to get uncomfortable with his antics, Rahz felt something land on his shoulder.
"Don't look, I am being followed. I didn't think that after all this time the Relic place was still being guarded but I managed to get it nonetheless. Let's start walking somewhere crowded to throw them off while I give you the item, they got people that can see me and if they see you with me the whole plan would be ruin".
Rahz did as told and while he was walking a bracelet was placed on his hands and then the weight on his shoulders disappeared. With the bracelet in his possession he went back to the group's hiding place and pa.s.sed the bracelet to Ridd.i.c.k who used it right away.
The item only function was to transmorph a Val'gun so they could go to other cities and interact with people. Their final size could range between 30 and 40 ft tall and it would be annoying to have a conversation with them.
Ridd.i.c.k was still wearing the bear coat his aunty gave him and it was good because without it, after the use of the relic he would have been completely naked. He look like Rahz, half Barbarian and half Elf but his hair was purple. It was the image of how Ridd.i.c.k wanted to look if he wasn't a Val'gun and thanks to the relic it was now a reality for him, Ridd.i.c.k received some pants from Rahz and this made them look like brothers.
"Looking good bud" Said Rahz offering a fist b.u.mp.
"Thanks"
Elune roll her eyes while Midori offer her tail for a b.u.mp too. It was warm times for the team while they travel towards the portal. The line was ma.s.sive but it was moving at a pretty fast pace, there were a couple of guards but their jobs were to make sure there were no robberies for the goods. They were third tier warriors and pretty intimidating to look at, they had claws like Rahz but they were 10 feet tall, their skin was red and they had a tail, tusk were coming out from their bottom lip and they had runes all over their bodies.
Dreadnoughts!!!
When it was Rahz's turn he couldn't help but ask, " Sup guys, I am heading to the temple of the Dreadnoughts to train and it would be awesome if you could tell me how to get there".
ROLFFFF!!!
"Puny guy wants to train in temple, HA HA HA stay here and be safe, we can snap you like a twig and we had to clean floors... lots of floors in there, being in the outside is much better"
"I thought everyone could get in"
HA HA HA
"Puny guy!! There is a test but you have to achieve Level 19 before your 50th birthday otherwise you can only be cleaner like us, the next one should be in 6 months Puny guy, otherwise you got to wait 5 years Puny guy".
"5 YEARS!! How can I get there in 6 months"
"Is easy puny guy, go to a town and pay a mage to open a portal to the place and go"
"That easy? thanks".
It was great information he had managed to acquired from the guards despite the fact he had been called puny guy the whole time but then again compared to the demons he was small.
Rahz pa.s.sed through and what met his eyes was magical to say the least. The entire sky was green in color and the moon changed depending on the time of the day and it took on the colors related to the multiple stages of Chaos Fire.
The dark green sky they were experiencing at that precise moment was the shortest of all the changes time wise. The Rotation of the moon also brought benefits to the users of chaos energy according to their level of flame and strengthen it over time. It was an extremely ingenious way to make their race stronger.
Despite the harshness, the realm had his charming side as it looked like a beautiful sunset in shades of green. The roads look to be similar to volcanic rock and the lakes had a high content of Sulfur that was treated with machines build and delivered by the gnomes to purify it. The gnomes received large amount of metals in exchange for the technology and this was one of the reasons the Abyss was habitable.
The team finished taking in the sights before trying to negotiate with a caravan some accommodations. The roads from the portal were extremely safe, in the last 500 years there had never been any robberies or deaths.
The demons knew how beneficial it was for them to open their doors to the other races and the council of elders ensured the safety of all visitors traveling until the first City of s.h.i.+njuku. After the first city, it was fair game and they need it to travel at their own risk. That is why the teleportation business skyrocket and became the highest pay profession in the Abyss. At 10,000 a pop, if a mage could make it to a popular location inside the realm and mark it, they could fund their expensive gear with teleportations and go back to the main plane of Elysian in the latest fas.h.i.+on becoming a force to be reckoned with. If people thought that Naas was big then they were Country b.u.mpkins living in the Boonies. s.h.i.+njuku was twice its size and the rules were very fuzzy. There were different territories governed by different factions and sometimes it could get dicey for the tourist, but as long as they went by the book there was no problem and they could enjoy themselves doing a different thing every day for a year and not do the same thing twice. The problem was when they tried to experience stuff outside the light, people disappeared and were never missed, it was just too hard to control millions of people coming and going everyday.
