Chapter 3 - Lu Clan

Climbing up from the cliff, Lu Shaoyu took three whole days. The cliff was outside the town, and as he was climbing up the cliff, Lu Shaoyu realized that he seemed to have gained quite a bit of strength, as though his entire body was filled with endless strength. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't be able to climb up the cliff.

Inside Lu Clan's Villa, rounded by tall wall, there were countless courtyards. According to Lu Shaoyu's memories, this was similar to the architectural style of the Su Zhou Gardens in his previous life.

"Knock knock …"

Lu Shaoyu knocked on the Lu Clan's front gate. At this time, his stomach was growling with hunger.

With a "squeek" sound, the door opened. Two servants wearing grey clothes and hats walked out. When they saw Lu Shaoyu, the two servants seemed to be surprised.

"You should go from the back. Madam told us before that you can't go through the front door." The two servants looked at Lu Shaoyu in shock, but did not place him in their eyes, didn't spare him another glance and immediately shut closed the door.

"You two b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, do you still think I'm the Lu Shaoyu of the past? I will definitely show you in the future." Lu Shaoyu spat in front of the Lu Clan front gate. Although angered, he could only walk towards the back door.

According to the memories in his mind, Lu Shaoyu recalled that past Lu Shaoyu seemed to have never walked through the gate of the Lu Clan. Although he was the Young Master of the Lu Clan, his mother was originally a servant of the Lu Clan, and her status was extremely low.

"Shaoyou, you've finally returned. You have already been missing for five days, Er-Madam is about to die from anxiety. Quickly go back." An old and aged servant at the back door saw Lu Shaoyu and immediately spoke to him with a few looks of concern and pity.

"I understand, Uncle Nan." From his memories, Lu Shaoyu knew that this old servant was called Uncle Nan and was also someone who was good to him other than his mother.

"Eh? Did I see... wrongly?" Looking at Lu Shaoyu's back figure, the old servant's grey eyes suddenly flashed with a ray of light. After that, his grey hazy eyes returned to normal and he slowly closed the back door.

This was the place where the servants of the Lu Clan lived. The Lu Clan was one of the top clans in the entire town, and just the servants there were numbered between two to three hundred. As for the members of the Lu Clan's family and the people of the other families, they were at least seven hundred of them.

In front of a somewhat dilapidated courtyard, Lu Shaoyu walked into the courtyard and after hesitating for a bit, Lu Shaoyu pushed open the door.

"Shaoyou, where did you go? Mother was worried to death about you." There was a woman in the room. She was around thirty-six to thirty-seven years old, wearing a light green silk s.h.i.+rt. She had a delicate beautiful face with a pointed, long eyebrows.

When the woman saw Lu Shaoyu, she immediately walked over with concern. As she looked at Lu Shaoyu's tattered clothes and tattered body, tears welled up in her eyes once again.

"Mom, I'm fine." Looking at this kind woman in front of him, Lu Shaoyu was startled. Her son was already dead, but he couldn't tell her the truth either. In the future, he would be her son.

"Shaoyou, quickly tell Mother where you have been these past few days and why you have not mentioned your whereabouts." Seeing that there was nothing missing from Lu Shaoyu's body, the woman finally heaved a sigh of relief and pulled his arms as she asked.

"I had something to busy myself with. I'm sorry, I made mother worry." Lu Shaoyu replied. Naturally, he could not say that her son had been thrown off the cliff.

"You must be hungry. Mom left something delicious for you." This kind and beautiful woman then hurriedly brought over a few steamed buns and a bowl of meat dishes. From a glance, Lu Shaoyu could tell that the food was not bad, but it should be the leftover broth.

"This is clean, Uncle Nan secretly brought it from the kitchen. Eat quickly, it's your favorite." The beautiful woman looked at Lu Shaoyu and said, her kind eyes showing a trace of apology, "It's all because I was useless, causing you to suffer since the moment you were born."

"Mom, this isn't your fault. In the future, your son won't let your mother suffer anymore." In his previous life, he had grown up in an orphanage and had never had a mother's love. Maybe when he transmigrated to this world, the heavens would compensate him, giving him this rare mother's love. At this moment, Lu Shaoyu couldn't help but secretly swear in his heart that from now on, she would be his own mother, and he would definitely not let his mother suffer any more.

"Good child, hurry and eat up. Once you're done, take off your clothes and mom will help you take care of it." Looking at Lu Shaoyu, the beautiful woman smiled blissfully.

Lu Shaoyu was really hungry now, so he hurriedly wolfed down the food. The five steamed buns were eaten in an instant, and he returned to his room afterwards.

"I've transmigrated. It's time to make some plans for myself." In his room, Lu Shaoyu muttered to himself as he stared at the dilapidated room. His future prospects in his previous life were uncertain, and since he had transcended worlds and was able to repeat the same thing in this life, how could he be willing to be mediocre?

If he had not done something, he would be letting down the G.o.ds. In his previous life, there was nothing he could do but choose; in this life, he will lie drunk on the knees of beautiful women and gain the power to rule the world. This was what he wanted.

As he thought about it, Lu Shaoyu's incantation method and the blood in his heart started to boil.

"Looks like even though you have been mediocre for sixteen years, there is a hidden unwillingness within your blood. Relax, I will complete it for you in the future." Lu Shaoyu said softly.

"He looks so young." Seated in front of a worn-out bronze mirror, Lu Shaoyu looked at his current appearance. He was originally thirty-four years old, but right now, he was only sixteen.

"Although your life is mediocre and you aren't as handsome as a jade tree, it is still considered interesting." Lu Shaoyu smiled at his current appearance. He had a tall and thin body with wheat colored skin, and his facial features could be considered three-dimensional. Especially his pair of eyes, which were as bright as stars.

"Not bad, I seem to... like it." Lu Shaoyu smiled narcissistically, his lips curled up slightly, revealing a lazy smile. Within the smile, there was a hidden ambition.

"Now, it's time to properly understand this world." Lu Shaoyu laid on the bed as his mind carefully searched information about everything in the world.

This was a completely different continent from his previous life, called Martial Spirit Continent. The continent was endless, and in this world, martial arts were the strong, spirit was the sovereign, and there existed Warriors and Spirit Masters.

It was said that to a certain extent, the Warrior would be able to move mountains and overturn the seas, and could even shatter the void. The Martial Master was divided into several levels: Martial Disciple, Martial Soldier, Martial Master, Martial Spirit, Martial General, Martial Commander, Martial King, Martial Saint, and Martial Emperor.

It was said that all of the Spirit Master were mysterious and unfathomable, possessing immense power and unbelievable abilities. When a Spirit Master reached a certain level, it could be said that they could turn the world upside down, and the Spirit Masters were divided into Spiritual Disciples, Spirit Scholars, Spirit Masters, Spirit Souls, Spirit Generals, Spirit Commanders, Spirit Masters and Spirit Emperors.

All of them were high and mighty. The old patriarch of the Lu Clan, his grandfather, whom he had never seen before, it was said that he was a Martial General.

On this continent, other than the Warriors, there were also Demonic Beasts and Spirit Beasts. These Demonic Beasts and Spirit Beasts were extremely powerful, and humans did not dare to provoke them. Only those extremely powerful Warriors and Spirit Masters dared to deal with them.

"It looks like I can only become either Spirit Master or a Warrior. But, why can't I become a Warrior or a Spirit Master?" Lu Shaoyu thought in his heart. From his memory, he knew his body had been inspected in his childhood, and it seemed that there was something wrong with his meridians. He was simply unable to become either Warrior or Spirit Master.

If he could become Warrior or Spirit Master, his and his mother positions wouldn't be even lower than that of a servants.

"I must think of a way to become either a Spirit Master or a Warrior. This is the only way out." Lu Shaoyu thought that in this world, there were only two ways to achieve something.

"Eh, I forgot about you." Lu Shaoyu took off the torn and tattered clothes on his body, planning to help his mother change her clothes. However, he found that there was a light yellow snake coiled around his arm.
