Chapter 4013: Kraken I

I heaved a sigh of relief at seeing the critters disappearing and closed my eyes.

I took a deep breath and controlled my body to rest maximum. I also sharpened my sense to hear the slightest sound around me.

I didn't want to get killed while I had my eyes closed.

I had opened my eyes fifty-eight seconds later. Thankfully, n.o.body tried to kill me.

I looked at others; there were only thirteen of us remained for this challenge.

The critters have made half of our numbers disappear.

However, the ones that had remained were strong and capable. There is no single person, among the thirteen, who had reached this far because of sheer luck.

The challenges here are such that. They removed the luck factor, leaving on the capable. Hun!

Two seconds pa.s.sed quickly and the new hour began.

Hun

For a moment, there was nothing before all gates except for one disappeared suddenly.

The one that had remained had become bigger. It had quadrupled in size.

Something big is going to come out. It scared me, but also made me excited.

The critters earlier were frustrating, and I had cursed them, but I didn't feel bored by them.

I was thinking about what kind of opponent it would be when I heard the loud sound. A second after that, I saw the first size; it is a part of the body.

Tentacle?

I thought as I looked at it, before another tentacle came and then another, before the figure appeared out of the gate and it was ma.s.sive, as we had expected.

"Kraken," said the woman with sharp black horns.

It is a Kraken with a lot of tentacles, which I counted quickly and found there are around a thousand of them, while there were only thirteen of us.

It would be difficult to deal with an opponent like this with such small numbers.

I looked at it when I noticed things that put a smile on my face.

'At least it is killable,' I thought when I noticed the core.

There are hundreds of cores, each tentacle has the cores. I looked at its head and expected it to have one. but to my surprise, only the tentacles have it.

Which made things even more difficult.

'If I am right, this Kraken will not die unless we deal with all its tentacles.

When it came out, I prepared. I touched my s.h.i.+eld with the saber, and they began to merge.

Soon, there was a new weapon in my hand.

A lance that is even taller than me with a really sharp tip.

A weapon as big as this would be needed to read the core of those ma.s.sive tentacles.

I am not the only one who did it. Others too realized the problem and their weapons got bigger.

Some even took part in their armor and made it bigger.

I also made changes to my armor. Mainly in my shoes, which have become twice as big as before, with some changes appearing in the designs.

There are also changes that appeared in my hands. They are not as big as s.h.i.+elds, but they are noticeable.

RAAAAAAA!

Finally, it had fully come out of the door and roared. Its roar was deafening, and some closed their eyes before creating a cover around them.

I didn't have to do that. There is already a cover around my ears.

It came toward us with each tentacle, creating a loud sound as it hit the round.

Seeing that my expression couldn't help, but turn serious.

Its tentacles are moving faster than I had thought and, with force, they are shaking the earth

as they hit it. It would be the end of us if any of those tentacles. .h.i.t us on the ground. Seeing that, many people retreated.

It made me worried too, but for some reason, I was grinning ear to ear as I moved toward the Kraken.

It is truly an amazing opponent, and if I didn't fight it with everything I have, I would be ashamed of myself.

The others followed behind, mostly my former teammates, but also the other two people.

RAAAAAAAA!

The Kraken saw us and roared loudly, before attacking us with its ma.s.sive tentacles.

I saw the huge tentacle coming toward me. It's big enough, it could squish me like an ant. I may be the size of the ant to it, but I am not an ant.

Bang!

I moved left and a fraction of a second later, the tentacle hit the earth, shaking it heavily.

If my feet had been on the earth. I would have been shaken too, but they are not.

They are in the air, going up.

I appeared above the tentacle and came down as everything does because of gravity.

It sensed it and moved its tentacle off up to flick me away like a fly and I would flick away like

a dead fly, but I didn't do anything and kept falling while it came toward me.

My lance touched the tentacle, and it pierced through it, but it didn't stop at the tentacle. The Kraken contract didn't even seem to feel that at all, as it didn't stop.

Crack!

They kept moving, till it was barely inches away from hitting me. When it stopped, it froze. The core of the tentacle cracked, pierced through the lance in hand.

RAAAAAAA!

It roared painfully while I landed on the frozen tentacle and jumped toward the second tentacle coming toward me with the tip of my lance moved up while the tentacle below me turned into the moat.

The tentacle reached me and, like before, the first thing it had touched was my lance.

Crack!

It pierced through it, stopping it in its tracks.

I pulled my lance and fell. There are two tentacles coming toward. One from down and one from the left; I will have to avoid those, those I turned into a b.l.o.o.d.y splatter.

Even the after isn't strong enough to help me defend against this incredible force.
