Chapter 4110: The Mermaid Lake

"Finally," I said as I reached the place.

The mermaid lake.

In front of me is a small lake, but big enough that a few hundred could sit inside it comfortably and they are sitting in it.

There is no abode or market near it because there isn't a s.p.a.ce.

There is only s.p.a.ce to rest beside it, but not for abode. Nor they are allowed. The restrictions forbid the abode or any spatial treasure in its boundary.

It is why, once the people are done with the lake. They rest for a while before leaving it.

I crossed the boundary.

There are around ten meters of open s.p.a.ce around the lake. The s.p.a.ce that protected. So, no monster or powerhouse, no matter how powerful they are, could attack it.

I looked at the lake and the people that were submerged inside.

In the center of the lake is a huge statue of a beautiful mermaid wearing a crown.

It is truly beautiful that I wish, I could take it, but it is not possible. Many have tried it, but it's impossible, and I have no intention of trying it.

Like in the compound. I could feel the sharp eyes on me. Their numbers are more than in the compound.

Like I had expected. The news is spreading.

It won't be long before all the people in the realm come to know about it. This isn't good news for me, but not bad news either.

I will remain careful as I am right now.

I looked at their gazes and began to look at them with the same eyes. I shared the looks and nods before walking toward the lake.

I did not spread the seed.

There isn't much talking going on between them. Unlike the compound, even outside of the lake, the energy is sealed. So, no primary.

It is making most of them remain quiet.

I entered the lake and its hot. Not uncomfortably hot, but hot. One wouldn't expect that, given its color and calmness.

They would expect a cold temperature from such clear water, not a hot one.

Every step took me deeper and deeper into the lake till I was submerged in it. Still, I kept walking, until I found an empty disk and sat on it.

Here it didn't matter where you sit, what matters is you sit on the disk.

The disk is like a tap which I could control with my mind. I could control the power of the energy through it.

I calmed my mind for a minute before opening the tap and felt the energy coming at me from all sides. The disk is only controlled, the energies are in the water.

The energy entered inside me, at the same time, the pressure of the water had also increased

on me.

The pressure is the safeguard.

People are greedy, to get the maximum benefits. They wouldn't hesitate to for the powerful energy which might kill them before they realized.

If they want the powerful energy. They also needed to bear the pressure of the water.

This pressure isn't average pressure. It didn't target the outer body like normal water pressure, but every cell and the speck of the soul, just like the mist flag.

My body rejected the energy.

Seeing there, there was not a slightest surprise. I would have been truly surprised if it had taken the energy.

I am not focused on the energy, but pressure. It is the reason why, I came here. Energy isn't enough, there needs to be something more, something, that will take me beyond the limit. So, I increased the power of the energy with it increased the pressure.

This time, I didn't stop and kept increasing slowly and the pressure and the energy got stronger and stronger till I had reached the limit of what I could bear.

Still, I didn't stop, and it got unbearable.

I gritted my teeth and continued slowly, increasing it despite every fiber of my body wanting

to stop.

I didn't stop and increased the speed even further.

Finally, my body had reached beyond the limit, and I shuddered to my soul, but I continued to increase the power.

I am in a very precarious situation here, where I could turn into a puddle at any moment. Seconds pa.s.sed and, at the eleventh second, the thing I had expected happened.

Buzz!

A buzzing sound rang out from my temple immediately. I stopped increasing, and at the same time, I felt the circle pulling the energies in my body toward it.

There is a large amount of powerful energies in my body and more are entering inside it.

I had stopped increasing the power but didn't close the tap.

Now, all those energies inside me, and from there it is getting absorbed into the circle in the temple. Along with the very faint amount of invisible energy.

I knew about this energy. The method talked about it.

It is this energy that helps one break the limit, but it is nearly impossible to sense. I wouldn't

have been able to sense it if I hadn't caught it.

The data of the mist flag showed me this energy and once I knew it.

I found it.

A very tiny amount of this energy is produced during the normal sessions, but I produce far

more in my sessions as every time, I go above the limit.

Now, I am further, than I do in the practice and this energy is an even greater amount.

It is the reason why, I am even sensing it.

It came from deep within and is more important than the life force itself. I am quite lucky, to be able to sense it.

As I was doing that, I felt like I was understanding the mysteries of the world. I didn't before and my of the questions, I had begun to get solved on their own.

Especially my confusion about many of the runic principles. They begin to solve on their own.

It never happened to me, and it made my eyes widen.

Though, soon, that joy vanished and a moment later, I closed the tab abruptly.

In my joy of understanding. I pushed myself harder than I should have. If I had kept it for even

a second, I would have gone for it.

Even now, I am not safe. I am unstable, I need to calm my body and soul before it turns me

into goo.
