"Liu Liu, what did you just say?"
Fei Fei Liu looked up at her father.
"Father weren't you listening Sung Ching is cheating on me."
Fei Fei Liu started to sob harder.
"No dear I heard that part. What did you say about your uncle?"
Fei Fei Liu looked at her father puzzled.
"I didn't say anything about Uncle. Father can you focus on what I'm saying. Song Chin found another woman."
Fei Ling Chung began to pat his daughters head, his mind racing at his daughter's words.
"Dear I'm sure that wasn't Song Chin you saw. I saw him at the office and he was in a long meeting not even thirty minutes ago. You probably saw his cousin, you know how he and his cousin look so much alike people mistake them for brothers."
Fei Fei Liu looked at her father the tears slowing down.
"Really father you saw him?"
Fei Ling Chung nodded his head. He hated lying to his daughter but whenever she had an episode it was easier to lie to her than it was to tell her the truth and send her spiraling into depression again.
"Then why hasn't he been home, why is he working so hard and not coming to see me?"
The tears started flowing again.
"Honey he was home last night and you two ate dinner together. You wore your blue dress remember?"
Fei Fei Liu scrunched up her face, she was trying to remember last night.
"You know Song Chin loves you and yes he has been working a lot. He was saddened when you got sick and lost his son. He has never blamed you, but men grieve differently from women. Men don't cry and grieve the same, they bury themselves in work. You have to remember that not only did he lose his son but he almost lost you. Song Chin wors.h.i.+ps the ground you walk on, think of him when he thought he was going to lose his wife and child?"
