Dream Star 788 Cant Stay Away

Lila slumped against the wall with a defeated expression on her face. 'This is bad, I feel sick. Maybe I shouldn't have let him go?' Not only did she feel sick but she felt her face grow hotter as each minute went by. It seems like she also has a fever. 

Haruka didn't tell her who he was meeting with. But considering how he behaved, she knew it was Rikksan. Rikksan is getting discharged from the hospital today. So it makes sense for Haruka to be there for her during the discharge.

"Please excuse me." Hearing the familiar voice of the staff in charge, she enters the room. Lila's eyes went wide spotting aurburn coloured locks. She stared dumbly at her husband.

Wait wait ....can it be?

"[ Hi Lila ]"

"This is. .what exactly is going on?" Lila was puzzled. But she suspected the reason why he was here.

"He will be the person teaching you English conversation from now onwards."

"Liar !"

"Now Lilchan, that reaction is too much. I heard that he is your husband. So you can start lessons right away." 

B--but even if she says that. If she thinks about this guy, all she can remember is him kissing her like that. Aaah, what was she thinking acting so bold last night? 

"I understand. .."

"Then Lilchan work hard ! I'm leaving first."

When the door closed she froze. So she is really going to be left alone with him. When Haruka approaches her from behind, her heart speeds up. 

"Don't be overly self conscious when others around. Unless you want them to know?"

Even if he says that. ..

"That person briefed me on your situation. You want to sing songs with English lyrics properly before your live. Do you mind letting me take a look?"

Lila blinks surprised. "Oh...um right. "

How surprising. She thought he would fool around again. Maybe last night really was just an accident? Lila placed her bag down and sat down on the couch. 

'I am nervous. I don't know what to think.' 

He is probably not as nervous as she is. She needs to calm down. There is no use overreacting. Her thoughts break off when he placed something in front of her. Oh her phone.... She must have left it....

"I see. I suppose we can start with the words in these songs first."

Lila looked at him blankly. 'This feels like de-jvu.' Back when she met Haruka again in Star Town, he taught her English like this.

'I wonder what happened with Rikksan and him. Did they have fun somewhere?'

Does she even have the right to ask that? Even if she is his wife, it felt like she was intruding on his privacy far too much.

"Hey, are you listening?"

"Ah yes."

Haruka sighed. "Idiot, don't join groups like this without asking me. But you picked a good place so I won't lecture you too much."

"Right.." Lila trailed off realizing something. "Ah hey, can you sing a song in English? It'll help me learn."

"Do you have a guitar on you?"

"Yup. Here." Haruka picked something up from the corner.

Lila couldn't help but stare at him for a few minutes.

"What, did you fall for me?"

"No !" She trails off. "But your very good. I've always thought at least in this generation my onee-chan, Agehsan and Kiryu are the only one with such advanced and scary skills. However ...the music you play is very beautiful.."

She is envious. "You can reach this level too. Rather don't you remember the reason why I'm here? You have talent."  

"But. .. Whenever I hear such amazing skills like this I end up feeling really down. It does motivate me to work hard yes but it also comes with negatives." So many doubts and insecurities.

She maybe number one. But Lila understood that she lacked something fundamental as a singer. That something her mother and father fought so hard for.

"I see. While I won't deny that those you mentioned are skillful. Everyone has their flaws one way or another, even those who are dubbed perfect."

"Even you?"

"Even me. Tell you what, why don't we do this instead. I'm supposed to be teaching you text book English. But honestly for you, you'll probably learn better through a practice song."

"A practice song?"

Haruka nodded and pulled something out from the drawer and handed it over to her. Her eyes went wide in amazement not only at the amount but mainly due to the bright light coming from them. 

It's sparkling so much and the sounds of the melody are so pretty. 

"Yeag, rather than force yourself to memorise everything, why not put it into practice? More experience in the actual combat, and you will improve faster."

"Did you compose all these songs?"

"Yeah." 

"That's really amazing."

"I'll make this clear now. I'm your English teacher, so everything I do from now onwards is to help you learn English. I won't be stingy in helping you out with this."

Lila blinked and chuckled softly. It seems like he is taking this seriously.

How complex. But the results of her hard work will reflect Devils success. She has to do a good job to make sure she sings Angel's songs properly. 

"But still, these songs are very complicated. The English parts aside, the j.a.panese ones is equally difficult. You sure you want to go through with it? Even with your vocal range, you'll have issues. "

She knows that very well. However.. "As a kid I watched my mother and Ren-san compose music and write lyrics for Angel. I watched Takano-san managing and adding his own arrangements in to their work. The liveliness of Naoki-san and his ability to talk well and create relations.h.i.+ps with others. I watched how each of them one by one, worked so hard to produce beautiful music."

"I see. However, I've been meaning to ask. Is there not anything else you like to do?"

"I've been surrounded by music since I was younger. So it was inevitable that I would chose a career centered around music. The expectations of everyone around me was heavy and yet even then I did not think about it too much. What people expected of me and what they wanted me to do. I simply wanted to sing."

Her thoughts break off when he stands up and gets close. Wh- 

"You've done good. This entire time."

 Oh. .. her gaze softened when she felt his hands on her hair. It seems like she really can't stay away from this person.
