Walking to the gates, they opened automatically. I walked into the reception area and reached for the pedestal that was sitting there.

Well never mind it didn't matter. All I needed was one room and a bit of time. I looked around the area and saw no one else. I couldn't be sure that no one would have taken a room, but with the price they were advertising, it truly was extravagant spending. I wouldn't have to worry about anything.

I quickly bought a room and moved in.

Looking at the neat room, I took in the bed, desk and glowing orb that hung above. It acted as a light and illuminated the inside. The curtains to the room where closed, off which I didn't change. In the end it had nothing I particular that was fancy.

I was expecting more than I got, and the use of 2000 EP, seemed a bit excessive. Maybe it protected people from what's outside? I had no clue. But in the future I wouldn't put importance on the pricing of rooms if this was all I got.

It didn't even have a fridge or pantry, it was a bare room with little, I knew there was no electricity but it was plain daylight robbery.

I let out a short sigh as I moved to the bed. Rose stood to the side while Ella sat next to me. She was still excited about the serum I had pulled out before. I told her that she would soon get it, which had calmed her down. But now that there was no one around, she was bursting with glee.

I was only slightly hesitant as I looked at my ring and willed for the Serum to appear. The pressure I had felt before was intense.

Willing it to appear in my hand I stared at the metal vial that appeared.

It was intricately designed with another pattern detailed on it. I couldn't tell what it meant but it shone gold. It was the liquid that was bleeding through and was visible. The pressure radiated out again and pressed into us.

Ella's elation reached a new level and she was trying very hard not to pounce over. I could feel her Emotions rising, and the hunger that I hadn't felt in a while exploded out from her. It was ravenous; nothing had ever made her hunger like right now.

This serum in my hand was the best meal she had ever laid her eyes on and she knew it by instinct. A small needle was picking out from the side of the vial and an indentation was on the other side. I would have to stick her with the vial and press the b.u.t.ton for it to be taken. It wasn't something that was drunk or swallowed.

The gold liquid that was inside the vial was the thing that was releasing the pressure; I stared at it with unfocused eyes as I felt something from it. My spirit eyes opened up and I saw the golden energy that was the liquid.

It was more concentrated then the spirit energy that made up ice and fire. It was more powerful by a large extent. I had no clue what it was, but it was special. I felt like I would go blind if I continued to look at the golden glow.

I closed my eyes and looked away and into the glowing eyes of Ella. They had turned a deep purple that radiated outwards. Her desire for the vial was on display as her eyes were fixed to it. I looked at her status one more time before figuring out what I needed to do.

Her stats hadn't moved since she had reached her evolution, the exp was perpetually stuck at 0 thanks to that. With this we would finally start to move on and get stronger.

I looked down at the star next to the empress skill and clicked it.

Ok it was time for the leap of faith. I would inject her with the serum and then put in the skill points. Hopefully that was all I had to do. I thought I might have been forgetting something though.

I took a calming breath and looked over at Rose. She could feel the seriousness of the situation and was watching me intently. I wonder what she was thinking?

I asked for Ella's hand and she raised it fast. She had antic.i.p.ation in her eyes. I put the vial against her fair arm and stopped. My hand was shaking as I held the vial.

Was I forgetting something? Why was I having so much trouble pressing the b.u.t.ton and starting the evolution?

There was a worry in the back of my head that was screaming something at me, something I had over looked. But right now I wanted Ella to evolve. I wanted her to get stronger; I wanted to speed up the time when I would get to kill that G.o.d.

My emotions where all over the place for some reason. They shouldn't be acting up like this.

My shaking hands stopped as I forced myself to press the b.u.t.ton firmly. The voice in my head that was screaming , receded as if it were a lie and I felt like I heard it sigh. In resignation and defeat, a sad sigh that signified a profound sadness.

After the b.u.t.ton was pressed the golden liquid started to flow down the tube and the needle injected it into Ella. Her eyes widened and I felt her body go stiff. It was being filled with power as I spoke, a reaction was happening that I couldn't see, but I could feel her emotions getting hotter and hotter. Her eyes that were purple started to glow intensely bright like a torch, making me look away.

Her body began to shake and sweat hard. I panicked as I watched on, had something gone wrong? I couldn't be sure. In my revere I almost forgot to put in the skill points, I quickly saw a small timer next to the box.

A huge pressure suddenly descended into the room, no maybe it was even further. It crashed down into the room and through my spirit eyes I could see a blinding light of energy coalesce above Ella's general location. I followed it with my eyes and my jaw hung low as I looked at the sky.

Through my spirit vision I could see the amount of energy that was grouping up above us. It was, in only a few seconds, already 1 km in diameter. My mind blanked as a new box appeared, the voice talking to me. It was rare that the boxes would provide verbal prompts.

My eyes started to shake; I couldn't keep up with what was going on. I could see that the energy that was pooling down onto Ella was starting to syphon off to me. It had kick started my own Evolution!

How could I have possibly forgotten! How could I have not remember what happened when Ella had become an Empress cla.s.s infected! She had eaten so many corpses and even needed my blood to finish. She had almost killed me that day. She couldn't control what she was doing in that state.
