The music in the background was solemn and produced a bit of grandeur, as it highlighted the black screen. It felt like the war music that would play when a big battle was about to happen. Many a movie would use such music in the climax of a film.

It played as highlighted words came up in front of everyone.

(Ravager Guild)

"Halt go to the left. Cam right. And River goes down the center. Everyone else back them up depending. We don't want any casualties in this fight. One we clear out an area, move back and regroup with us. If the other need help everyone knows the signal"

"Sir!"

A man stood in front of a group of people looking at a wide area. It was an open area of about a football pitch. To the left and right were buildings that cut off most of the view of the sky and led to smaller alley ways. On the other side from where they were standing was another larger path that led out. Littered throughout the area, were a pack of zombies.

The number was hard to count but it had to be close tom if not over 100. The group easily dwarfed the 20 or so people that were standing behind that person. They all wore the same type of metallic s.h.i.+ning gear with a few differences. Some had of course robes and staffs, that gave away they were mages, while other had bow and swords. Some had s.h.i.+elds and axes and 1 even had a spear.

They all followed the main man at the front who was wielding a sword and s.h.i.+eld. His domineering demeanor could be felt from his back view, and gave confidence to the people behind him. The area they were staring into was filled with zombies. The left and right that he was mentioning weren't separate areas as the whole field was a huge square.

With his command, 3 people stepped forwards. They were all of the melee cla.s.s, judging by the armour they were waring and their various weapons. 2 were men and one was female. The 2 men each had a s.h.i.+eld, one with a spear and the other with an axe. Their body builds weren't the same either with one eclipsing the other in height while the other that was smaller and had a stockier frame.

The last was the female who had a smaller frame but a lean body. It could be seen from the armour how much muscle the woman was packing. She didn't have a s.h.i.+eld like the other 2 and instead wielded a huge battle axe, which eclipse all present.

Standing at the front they said nothing after talking to their captain and moved off in their directions. The men took the sides meaning one of them was Halt and the other was Cam. This left the woman to be named River.

With each of them moving out a small contingent went with them. On the sides it was a bit heavier than in the middle. Where the sides had 7 people each, the middle only had 5, but this didn't faze them, as they had their captain and River at the front.

With their group set, having a balance of archers and mages in each group they engaged the zombies that populated the square. By this point the zombies had already caught the scent of the group closing in and had turned towards them.

With that, they began to run towards them. It seemed to be a swarm as they made their way closer and closer. To most people the number would be too daunting to handle, the sheer pressure that was caused by the tide of zombies would make anyone want to turn and run, but they didn't.

With s.h.i.+elds ready and attacks set to go, they engaged.

The fight wasn't highlighted much as after the initial 10 seconds of seeing the wave clash into the s.h.i.+eld tanks at the front and the numerous deaths of the incoming zombies from their magic and arrow bombardments, the screen cut.

The screen cutting when the zombies were being cut to pieces like a well-oiled machine would disappoint many people watching.

The screen blacked out in the middle of the excitement and returned to the after math of the fight. A small pile of zombies were littered about as black blood like tar was splashed around. Small globes were scattered about as a small group went to pick them up.

The main tanks comprising of the 2 men and 1 woman were in the middle of the group recovering. Even though the fight wasn't seen the sheer fatigue of the people as they sat down and gulped for air, showed how much effort they had put in.

With the amount of dead zombies around, that seemed to eclipse what had been shown at the start, it was quite surprising that none of the payers had died. All 20 from the original team were still standing, the camera was zooming all around them as if to show this fact.

The music that was in the background finally showed a slight change. It had been a grandeur type of music, to show off the war that had just been fought. But now as the group rested it had a change, a new sinister music started to come in the background.

It came behind the music that was already present and wanted to drown it out. It grew louder and louder as the camera looked at the exhausted group.

Just as they had started to recover a sc.r.a.pping sound came from one of the entrances. The group that had been relaxed until this point, got into full battle ready stations as they looked at where the sound was coming from.

With the introduction of the sinister music and the sc.r.a.pping sound, it created an eerie feeling for the audience.

The 3 tanks that were in the middle got up and walked towards the front, the group that was going around searching for globes grouped up and stayed behind them, preparing their staff's and bows.

Finally as the group found its cohesion the intruder appeared.

A black knight was approaching, the pitch black armour absorbing all the light around it as it closed in. It walked slowly with a big broadsword sc.r.a.pping across the ground, its length was huge, easily eclipsing the height of the knight, who stood well over 2 meters.

The blade had dried black blood on it and a small chip or two. The sc.r.a.pping sound continued as the man made his way towards the group. It was hard to tell looking at the man that was getting closer because of the black color, but it looked like there was also black blood splashed all over his armour.

His face couldn't be seen, only 2 small pupils that stared out. They twinkled with a strange light as they looked at the group before him.

"Human?"

The question was spoken by their leader, his face a picture of confusion. There was no reason to think this person was a zombie, but the fierce aura that was coming off the knight sent his senses into overdrive.

The black knight stopped for a second at the question and tilted his head slowly. Finally his voice came out. Even behind the black visor his voice was clear.

"You are the same as those zombies. Exp for me to eat."

With that he continued moving towards the group. Hearing those words they prepared themselves, it was clear what this person wanted.

Halt that was at the front let out a sneer as the person grew closer, confidence was plastered on his face as he moved forwards. It wasn't clear what gave him that confidence, maybe it was the fact they had just cleared out over 100 zombies.

He struck out alone and their captain didn't stop him. He may have been feeling a sense of danger from the black knight, but he was also drunk of his victory. So was the whole group.

They had sneers and jeering expressions on their faces as they looked at this person. Halt moved ahead and went to attack.

He raised his s.h.i.+eld in a professional manor even though he was overconfident and readied his weapon. Getting close enough and seeing no action from his opponent, he laughed and attacked.

And in the next second, the knight was standing behind him. Halt that had swung his weapon slowly fell to the ground, or more like half of him did. The top half of his body flopped to the ground and his knees gave way.

The camera that was over viewing the scene didn't capture what happened. Maybe it was cut, maybe he was that fast. From the shocked expressions of the guild mates that were behind him and their abrupt silence it was probably the later.

The Ravager guild stood stunned as they watched their tank drop to the ground. None of them had seen what happened. The knight stood, sword dragging on the ground again, as he slowly walked over. The sc.r.a.pping sound snapped them out of their stupor as they looked on with terror.

Some at the back showing signs of panic. The leader seeing such a scene showed his experience as he quickly reigned in the disorder. Quickly getting them under control, the 2 tanks at the front had backed up.

Showing no signs of panic they were backing off and giving the group time. They knew that was what they needed right now. No matter how good this black knight could be, he wouldn't be able to dodge a magic and arrow barrage.

They went into full defensive mode as they tactically retreated at a slow pace, matching the knight.

With everything under control the order for the attack was quickly given.

The mages staff's glowed with color and arrows were knocked, as the knight finally showed a different movement. He stopped in place and his head went up. It was a slight tilt but was noticeable. The blade in his hand lifting off the ground.

And then the scene cut. The tension front the opposing music reached a high and the black screen lasted for a few seconds. The fight between the music was the only indicator. And finally everything stopped the music went away nothing winning the battle.

The screen turned bright again. The team that was once standing tall after their win were now scattered. Bodies split in half were strew all over the place. The dead silence was deafening as the black knight stood in front of the only 2 people left.

One was the captain with his s.h.i.+eld split in half and his other hand broken in 3 places. The other was standing in front of him, somehow River had survived. Her s.h.i.+eld was still intact and held desperately in front of her. Her weapon was gone and she was on her last breath.

She was bleeding from her side but had a determined glint in her eye. The captain shared that glint, but also had a bitter sadness. He was looking slowly at his felled guild mates and gritting his teeth.

The black knight was walking slowly again as he closed in on the last survivors. Reaching them River gave one last ear piercing scream as she tried to resist. But in the end it was futile. The sword that didn't look special at all crashed into and sliced apart the s.h.i.+eld.

And with the s.h.i.+eld gone she tried to tackle his body. What she received for her trouble was a vicious elbow to the face followed by a swift cut through her body. The light faded from her eyes as the captain that tried to help was repelled back.

He fell on his back hard as her body flipped to the ground. Finally being the only one left standing, the captain grabbed a sword that had been dropped and got back to his feet. The black knight in front of him gave him time to pick up the sword and prepare himself.

The 2 stood a short distance from each other as the knight impaled his sword into the ground and reached for his visor.

Pulling it off in a swift motion the knight's face was finally shown. A bold black man stood in the armour, looking with dead eyes towards the captain. He didn't say any words as he placed his visor down and grabbed his broadsword.

Maybe he wanted to look his prey in the eye at the end.

There was no grand battle or music as the knight easily disarmed and killed the captain. His body falling to the ground, one of the only ones that wasn't split apart.

Only a hole where his heart used to be showed how he died.

The knight looking at his work bent down and put his visor back on.

He stared up into the sky as the camera backed off. The pitch black glow from his visor a chilling sight as the screen finally went black.

The sinister music taking over the background.
