"There are quite a lot of them."

I was staring down at the map in front of me. It was the most important item I had found in this library. I think the person that ransacked this place, before we got here, dropped it. I found it a few days back under one of the tables.

Unfurling the parchment, the map that was presented in front of me made no sense. It looked like a regular map you would find anywhere. The land ma.s.s shown was pretty big with two connections to other big landma.s.ses.

One was connected in the south at the bottom of the landma.s.s, while the other was connected at the top north-east. The connection in the north was a lot smaller than the connection in the south. The connection in the south was so big that it was hard to tell that it was two landma.s.ses put together.

The only reason I figured that out, was because I found out what I was looking at. I had no way to verify that what the map showed me was real. Australia, which I have grown up in for all my life, had changed drastically.

The general landma.s.s shape had changed to fit new criteria and looked nothing like it used to. I only realized this was a map of Australia, when I located my town and the mountains surrounding me. There were various dots on the map which would glow with a blue light. All the dots were spread out and nowhere near each other. I didn't know what caused the dots to glow blue, but I chalked it up to sometime of mana influence

Every now and then the blue dots would turn red and after staying red for a while, the dots would either go back to their blue color, or turn black, once a dot turned black though it would never change. Using the dots I was able to figure out what they were, and where I was on this new land ma.s.s.

They were dungeons.

Or maybe they had a different name, I wasn't sure. There was no writing on the map that would indicate what they were called. By finding one of the black dungeons I was able to locate the mountain that borders the town and the city I had grown up in.

Using that knowledge I figured out what the colors meant. Black obviously meant that a dungeon was destroyed. The wolf dungeon we had destroyed was the black dot in the mountains. The blue would then be the location of a dungeon, and finally the red dot meant it was under attack.

If the attack was successful and they destroyed the dungeon at the end, maybe it was optional? The dungeon would then turn black.

This was the conclusion I had come to after staring at the map day by day. The dungeons would light up numerous times with some turning black. But the majority after turning red would still be there after a while.

This was easily the most important item I had on me right now. I wasn't going to stay in this library forever, I couldn't stay here that long, and I didn't know when I would start to feel hungry. Ella was starting to get bored of reading, and I sometimes felt Rose also long to go somewhere else.

With this map I knew where I had to go. I still had to get stronger; I still had to kill that G.o.d. I couldn't stop now, not ever. Of course I couldn't tell the level of all the dungeons that were on the map, but it would expedite the process of finding them myself.

I focused back in on the black dot that was closest to where I was and traced my finger downwards. I would be heading south once I left here and head for the new land ma.s.s that was connected to Australia. There was also the landma.s.s that was connected to the upper north-east, but I didn't want to go that way.

On the path between here and the bottom of the country I would pa.s.s at least 10-12 dungeons and make a killing in exp.

*Boom*

'Brother'

Just as I was deciding what path we would take once we left here, I heard the cras.h.i.+ng of doors not too far away. Ella's voice sounded in my head in a hurried manner, she had forcefully reconnected us. She wouldn't do that unless it was important.

I let go of my control of our connection and felt the rush of emotions. .h.i.t me.

'Brother, someone is close by, I can smell them.'

I nodded my head slightly, her senses had gotten even more ridiculous after evolving, I wasn't surprised that she could somehow smell someone new approaching, even though layers of wood and marble that made the building, were between her and the target.

The real questions were. How close are they? And what are they here for?

Ella had said someone, meaning that they would be a person. She would have called them an infected or insect if it was anything else. No matter how smart she was getting she would always call the wolves and prowlers, insects.

It brought a smile to my face, that childishness of hers. Sometimes I wish she still called the infected meals.

'There is also the smell of blood in the air.'

She finished off her sentence as she rushed into the room. She looked at me to see my response. Even though she didn't have to eat, I knew that she would love to taste something after such a long time. She was probably worried about how I would react to the situation.

I knew that she wouldn't eat a person outright until I was fine with it. I won't say I didn't have my reservations about the subject, but I would have to see what the situation entailed. Depending on what the person was like, how I judged them, it would be completely different.

If I thought they were an innocent person, then I would be against it. If I thought they were the sc.u.m of the earth, I guess I wouldn't mind. I know that my thoughts were weird and very biased, hypocritical even. I didn't care. I would decide from now on, and I would stick with my decisions.

While I was thinking Rose also quietly entered the room. She stood to the side and looked at me contemplating. I sent her a look to see if she had any thoughts, but she shook her head. She would leave this decision to me.

We had already gotten everything we really needed from coming here; it was about time that we got going.

I rolled up the dungeon map and placed it into my storage ring.

"Gather up anything you want to keep. Take a bag each and prepare to leave."

Rose nodded her head at my words and quietly went off to gather some of her stuff. Ella bounced over to me in a happy mood giving me a hug. I patted her on the back before she went off to gather her stuff.

I went to grab a back pack and anything that I thought would be useful.

I was done healing.
