I felt an intense pain course through me, as my eyes bulged out.

*Cough*

I couldn't help but spit blood as the pain racked my body. It would have shaken if not for the sword holding me still.

My eyes flickered downwards as I looked at the gleaming blade that was sticking out of my chest. It had missed my heart and instead gone through one of my lungs. I was gulping for air as I panicked.

Out of instinct my hands reached towards it. As my hands touched the blade though, it was too sharp. Blood started to pool below me, as my hands started dripping red. I didn't mind the extra pain as I still tried to fix this somehow.

I put more pressure into the blade but it didn't help.

"Aww Father. What a waste."

My ear twitched as I came back to my senses. How had this happened? Father?

I was having trouble to think as I closed my eyes in pain. My legs were getting weaker and I didn't think I would be able to stand much longer.

*HUUUUU*

"Don't Worry Ella."

The familiar voice sounded out from behind me, but this time as I heard him, it felt different. I thought I had gained his trust. I thought I had started to understand him. But why? After everything.

My legs gave way as I couldn't keep my weight up.

*Cough*

*Cough*

More blood splattered out as I dug my fingers into the ground. I had given up on getting the blade out; I would die faster if he pulled it out now. My eyes blurred in front of me, as they tried to focus in on the bag that was a few meters in front.

The potion!

My hand reached out as the fear of death propelled me. I was on the ground as I tried to move myself forwards. I barely moved before the sword was wrenched out from my stomach.

*Urgh*

Breath escaped me from the racking pain and forced what little air I had left, out.

I couldn't give up, I couldn't die now. I had just obtained it.

Wait, where is it?!

My mind became more frantic as I searched for it; I had it in my hands when I was stabbed!

I moved my head as fast as I could as I looked around.

It was to my left, next to my body, my arms reached out for it as fast as I could.

But just as my hand was about to make contact, with the blue glowing orb, another rough hand picked it up.

My hand stopped as I stared at the hand that took it away. My vision rose slowly as I looked up at him. The sword in his other hand was covered in my blood and gleamed in the cave. He raised the orb up and had an interested look on his face, as he read it.

My face fell as I watched him, my eyes couldn't help but ask why.

He showed a faint smile as he looked down at it, before turning his eyes to me. The smile disappeared and a grimace surfaced. I didn't see what I was expecting, which was disgust, hatred or anger. It was more a disappointment.

I resigned myself to death as I saw him standing there, stabbing me and not instantly killing me. He would not let me reach the bag with the health potions. At this point in time I could only try and ask him why.

My mouth opened, but only blood came out as I tried to speak. I would soon drown as I could feel my brain starving for oxygen.

Even though I couldn't voice it out, he understood what I wanted to say. He didn't have to tell me why, but he did.

"Why, huh."

He shook his head as he stepped around me. Crouching down to stare into my blood shot eyes; his voice was gentle as he talked.

"Did you think I wouldn't figure it out?"

Even though I was in such a state, my eyes still widened on reflex. He nodded at my reaction as to confirm to himself.

"Yes I noticed your disappearances at night. But even before that I had my suspicions. You being gone at night only made it more of a likely hood."

My eyes finally closed silently as I thought to myself. I now understood why he would kill me, I knew they were supposed to be intelligent, but I didn't think he would be this intelligent.

I could only laugh to myself as my eyes opened. His face seemed reminiscent and profoundly sad.

"You know when I found out I really wanted to deny it. While you were sleeping I couldn't help but for tears to fall and insanity to grip me, as I figured you and this whole world out."

His fists gripped harder as his eyes were red. The temperature started to drop and I knew he was angry, I had seen this happen before.

"Why did this have to happen? Why did such a situation occur?"

He breathed in to calm himself before continuing.

"I thought this to myself when I found out. And after I got through the sadness only anger was left."

Then why wasn't he angry at me? His eyes had turned back to disappointment as he looked at me. As if he read my mind, his next words continued.

"You remember the second day after I picked you up, and how I was very down and out during the whole day."

Realization dawned on me.

"Yes that was when I found out. Why do you think I gave you back your weapon?"

*Cough*

More blood spilled out as it finally started to make sense, after the second day he had started to treat me normally. I thought after what happened, he had started to trust me. He gave me my weapon, let my fight and level.

I thought I had somehow, convinced him and unlocked a special quest. How wrong I was.

"After I figured out that you were on a quest, well I guess that's what it's called to you. I knew you wouldn't hurt me. You would probably lead me to even stronger opponents. I do need to learn and get stronger."

He smiled at this point.

"I do need to thank you for that."

He can even say that when he just killed me. Haha. I had to laugh in my head at this point.

"This may be a game to you. And you may not care about all the people that are killed and die."

His voice became low and sad as he talked.

"But, when I die, I'm dead. When Ella dies, she's dead. When Rose dies, she is dead. All the elves, the treats, everyone that dies, is dead."

He reached out towards me, who was feebly laying there and pulled my body up. I couldn't move now as all the strength had left my body. He cradled me and looked me right in my eyes. He held my head so that it wouldn't drop back. I looked into his blue and purple eyes and saw the determination that lay under them.

"You lied to me. I understand that. You tried to use me. Even that I understand, you don't really see me as a human. I have seen you treat us like normal people. Feeling sad and getting emotional over Rose's scars. I can see that you are starting to understand. But you still need to learn this lesson. Don't treat us like NPC's! Or this will happen."

His eyes were gentle again.

"I don't know if this is your first death or not, and I'm not sure how much pain you are actually feeling. But I hope this lesson is enough to make you learn."

*Cough*

The last of my blood spluttered out and stained his face. But he didn't even blink as it stained his cheek. As my mind started to fade all I could see were his eyes as he looked at me. He reached his other hand up and closed my eyes lids, I couldn't open them again.

I felt him lower his head towards me and felt him speak into my ear.

"Don't worry, I'll save it for you. Next time I meet you, I'll hand it over. And it'll be up to you whether you want to continue on with this group."

My body finally went and I died. My spirit left my body, as a small 10 second count down appeared in front of me. A message appeared with the countdown.

(You Have Died)

(You will be Logged Out in 10 seconds)

I could see the scene around my dead body and could only stare at the man that was cradling me.

I couldn't feel the pain anymore and was deep in my thoughts as I stared on. I watched him intently as he spoke something to himself. His mouth moving as he stared upwards. He looked at the sky with a reminiscing look before looking down.

Just as the countdown reached 2 I watched as he moved in closer and started to eat my throat.

Blood exploded out into his mouth as the countdown reached 0.

I didn't see any more as I was whisked away.

My mind was in disarray as I thought about what had just happened.

The last thought before my spirit body faded was.

What's going to happen next?
