I am on my way home with Edward driving me as an apology when my phone rang. I immediately looked at the notification and was happy to see that it was a text message from Yve.

"I am very sorry, King. I was very busy with cleaning and doing household ch.o.r.es. I only saw all the notifications in my phone just now. Don't worry about your Queen, I promise to take good care of myself so you should take your time and have a good night sleep."

I smiled as I read her text message. She used the word 'King' like she used to. Is this a sign that we're together again?

"Bro, you looked creepy. What are you smiling about?"

"Oh, nothing. Just focus on driving."

"Hmph. It's obvious that it has something to do with Yve."

Although Edward is my cousin, I want to share as minimal as possible about my relations.h.i.+p with Yve. I don't want it to spread like a wildfire just as what happened during our university years. It's not that I'm not proud of it but if she's not willing, then so be it.

Finally, we arrived at my place. Edward gave me the key and left. I scanned my condominium and thought how lively it was last night. Contrary to how it looks right now.

I head to my study room where I will read the details about Yve's past. I sat on my chair and opened my envelope.

The papers started with Yve's picure. She was still in university. Her smile didn't change however, the brightness is now gone. She is a real diamond before. The rich, beautiful, cute, smart and most of all, friendly girl I ever met. The previous family portrait was just her, his father and I would guess her mother. She looked exactly like her mother except for her eyes and height that she probably got from her father. She looked so young in this picture. I didn't get the chance to meet her mother or even her at this age.

The next picture was with her step mother and step sister. I remembered the the first few years were very happy. She would always smile geniunely with them. Everything about their family was perfectly.

There was this one night, an unforgettable night at their house. I told her father about my intention. His dad was fine with it as he said that he was happy with how I asked his permision first. But he made it clear that it was still up to Yve if she wants to or not.

The next thing I heard from Yve was that her sister being mad at her because of the rules set up by the music club about the partic.i.p.ants. Airis was her name and she couldn't partic.i.p.ate because she was not the lyricist and composer of the music club at that time. While Yve and I were partic.i.p.ating as one of the pianists and guitarists. I saw how Yve did her best as she wanted her sister to be a part of the training. But the budget was the main issue.

On the day itself was the bomber. I went to Yve's house to pick her up and I was shocked with how the day went. I was waiting downstairs when I heard a loud sound upstairs. All of us rushed there only to find Yve sitting down on the floor with shattered vase beside her.

The events that happened that day was clear in my mind. It was a very special day for me.
