This Time You Are Mine 17 Flashback 5: Because It Is You

YVE's POV

"Vince"

"Hmm?" He looked at me.

I was playing with his hands when I said, "Airis pushed me that's why I fell."

I finally said it to him. Then the nurse a.s.sisted me. X-ray was conducted to check if the bone was affected. Good thing that it was a sprain and the doctor gave me some pain relievers and instructions for it.

After 3 hours, I was released from the hospital and right now, we're on our way to the training camp.

"You said that Airis pushed you." Vince started.

I nodded in response.

"Is the training camp the reason?"

"No."

"What is it then?"

How can I tell him that he is the reason? Why does he have to fetch me?

"Another of those secrets you can't tell me?" He looked irritated.

"NO! To be honest, with you, I feel I can tell you anything. But this topic must be kept a secret between girls."

"Has it something to do with love and crush?"

I looked at him in disbelief for guessing it right.

"I guess I am correct. Look, it is not your fault if men fall for you. You always do it effortlessly."

I blushed at his compliment. But my brain is asking me, "Are you one of those men?"

WHAT AM I THINKING?!

Airis likes Vince so I should stay away from him. But I think I am also falling in love with him. Vince is one of my closest friends but we became closer ever since both of us were part of the music club since our instruments go well together. His dad and my dad are business partners so we also meet during company social gatherings. Not that I like them, I just come because of my dad and later on, to spend more time with him.

What should I do?

"Yve? Yve? Are you alright?" Vince brought me back to the reality.

"Huh? What?"

"Is your foot painful again?"

I shook my head and said, "No, I was just thinking about something else. Is there anything you were saying?"

"Tonight, can we see each other? I will tell you the time and place."

"Sure."

After that conversation there was silence and I didn't know that I fell asleep in the car again.

VINCE'S POV

It was night time when we reached the training camp. Luckily the events she is in-charge will be conducted starting tomorrow. She looked at peace sleeping the car.

I didn't want to wake her up so I decided to carry her to her designated room. Except for the choir, only one room was a.s.signed per instrument.

I took her to the room a.s.signed to her and to my luck, Elise and her boyfriend Eric were in the room.

"Oops, Vince, bro, I'm sorry. I forgot to inform you." That was Eric.

"That's inappropriate of you, Eric. We should let them in first." Elise said.

"Oh, Bro, please come in."

"Well, thank you." I put Yve on one of the beds and asked,

"Care to explain?"

"Vince, you know that I will continue my studies in Julliard School and I will not see my Elise for maximum of 3 years."

"So?"

"So?! Bro, every minute counts and I want to spend it with her."

"But Eric, we're supposed to be roommates while Elise and Yve are."

"I know. That's why it's perfect. We will switch rooms."

"WHAT?!" I almost shouted.

"SHHHH, Vince. You might wake Yve." Elise said.

"Well, I think she deserves to know this. She has a say in this issue." I replied to both of them and went to Yve's side to wake her up.

"Yve, wake up. We are at the training camp." I whispered to her ear while shaking her gently.

After a few attempts, she woke up and was shocked to see where we are.

"Vince..."

"Yup. I brought you inside your room." She looked around and was shocked to see Eric in the room as well.

"Why are you here, Eric?" She asked.

At that moment, Eric and Elise explained their hilarious idea to Yve. Well, don't judge me. It's not like I don't like it. I was really happy when I heard the plan but my own happiness will never be as important as my respect towards Yve and her decision. Her kindness and her independent way of thinking are two of the things I like about her.

I thought she will not agree to it but in the end, she agreed. At the moment, we are on the way to my room and her new room. I gulped nervously and asked her,

"Why did you agree?"

She looked at me and answered, "Why? You don't like the idea?"

"No, it's not like that, but...."

"HAHAHAHAHAHA. Vince calm down."

She laughed at me and pointed at the room number. We finally reached the room.

I opened the room and let her in.

As I close the door, she said, "On a serious note, I agreed to it because it is you."

Then she walked her way to the beds.

I didn't understand what she said and asked, "What? I didn't get it?"

She sat on one of the beds located near the life-sized window. She always like to position herself near the window.

"I mean, I agreed because it is you whom I will share the room with. I know I can trust you and that you will not do anything that will endanger me. Right?"

I was left amazed by what she said. I felt I was in cloud nine. She trusts me a lot and was confident.

"Vince, I can trust you right?"

"Huh? Ah, yes of course, you can."

"Hmm.... Don't make me think that I made the wrong decision, Vince." She said and pushed me gently.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Of course, you can trust me. Your father will kill me if I don't and besides I can take care of you and your sprained foot better."

"Ah, I almost forgot about this." She looked at her foot.

"You should wash yourself first. I'll call your father and tell him that we arrived safely. He might be waiting anxiously for an update."

Yve prepared her toiletries and went to the bathroom before looking and me and mouthed, "Thank you, Vince."
