This Time You Are Mine 45 I Love You

VINCE's POV

I am now in the j.a.panese restaurant where we used to it when we were in the university. I am waiting for Yve since Ed called me earlier informing me that they might be late. I hope her meeting with Hyacinth goes well. In that way, she can proceed with the other plans she thought for the company.

Knowing Yve, she might be in a hurry as soon as she arrive here so I took the liberty of ordering the foods she liked so that the kitchen staff can cook it. When I was finished ordering, my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and I saw Yve's picture.

"Yes?"

"h.e.l.lo, Vince?"

"Yes, where are you?"

"I'm still on my way. My meeting was dragged longer than I expected and I will be late. I'm very sorry."

It seemed like someone's worried because she's late. Evil as it may sound, I decided to pull a prank on her. I purposely didn't say anything.

"h.e.l.lo? Vince, are you still there?"

"Yes." I answered plainly.

Don't get me wrong, everyone. I am not mad. I just want to tease her and see how she will react on this.

"Vince are you mad?"

I didn't reply again.

"Vince, please don't be mad. I promise I will make it up to you." She said.

"How will you do that?" Oh my! Heaven knows how much I antic.i.p.ate for her answer.

"Uhmm… I haven't thought about it yet. But I promise I will make up for it."

To make my acting more convincing I said, "Okay" then ended the phone call without waiting for her reply.

Now let's wait and see how will my Queen react to this little prank.

YVE's POV

Vince just ended the phone call without waiting for my answer. That's a first. He's really mad.

"Ed? Can you hurry up? It seems that Vince is mad at me for being late."

"What?! That's impo….. Okay. I'll drive faster." Ed replied.

How can I make it up to him? But on the second thought, Vince is not the kind of person to get mad easily especially he knew what happened. Still, he ended the phone call without waiting for my response. UGHH!!! What should I do?!

A few minutes later, our car arrived outside the familiar restaurant. Our favorite j.a.panese restaurant. Now, I understand why he is mad. The food in this shop is on a different scale but needs a little more time to cook. Maybe he had another meeting scheduled after our lunch. How can I make up for this tardiness of mine?

I entered the restaurant with my heart wilding in nervousness. The lady receptionist welcomed me and I said that someone is already here waiting for me. She asked me the name and I gave Vince's name. She then lead the way towards the private room.

Inside the room, I saw Vince staring outside the restaurant. The view was spectacular indeed. He chose a room facing the overlooking view of the city. This restaurant is located in a mountain located near the city, around 30 minutes drive. I decided to give him a hug from behind while saying,

"I'm here, my King. I'm sorry for being late."

But contrary to what I expected he didn't look at me. Instead he said,

"Oh. You can take your seat across. Ms. our order please."

Shocked and sad, I decided to walk towards the seat and waited for the order. He never even dared to look at me. I have so many things I wanted to talk to him but now they're all gone.

I can feel that the tears in my eyes are about to fall. I try my best to stop them but no avail. My tears fell on their own as I was afraid of losing him again. I finally realized that I can't afford to lose this man again. The same man which helped me get back on my feet and is now helping me the rightful place my father has left me. Most of all, the only man I truly love.

And now, I can't stop the sobs I'm making which caused him to finally look at me. He was shocked and worried at the same time, I think? He approached me at the same time and asked,

"Why are you crying? Are you hurt?"

"Really? You're going to ask me that?! This is your fault!" I said and pushed him lightly.

"You are so mad …...at me for .....being late ....and you even …...didn't look …..at me not …...until I started…... to cry." I explained in between my sobs.

He then hugged me and said, "I'm sorry. I didn't think that you would cry because of it."

Enjoying his embrace I asked, "Why? Don't you know I am afraid to lose you again?!"

He made me look at his face and sincerely asked me, "Why are you afraid to lose me again?"

Trying to escape his gaze I responded, "Do I even need to answer that question? You clearly know the answer."

"No, I don't. So you better tell me." He firmly said and as I stole a glance at him, I can see that he wanted confirmation. He wanted to hear those words from my mouth.

"It's because I love you." I whispered.

"Because what?" He asked.

I look at him and said, "You heard it already. Why do you have to make me repeat it again?"

"No, I didn't hear it." He teasingly said but this time with a smile.

So I gathered all my confidence and said,

"I LOVE YOU."

He wiped away the tears in my eyes and said, "I LOVE YOU, TOO."

Then he kissed me on the lips. This time, it was not as dangerous and as bold as the previous kiss. It was sweet and gentle. The kiss was enough to make me feel the sincerity in his words. I also wanted him to feel the same so I let him lead the way as we let the emotions take over.

With both of us gasping for air, we looked at each other and hugged me instead.

"I think I should stop now or else I may do something inappropriate." He whispered in my ear.

"Inappropriate? What do you mean?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing."
