This Time You Are Mine 52 Double Dinner

After calling Vincent, I was alone at the parking s.p.a.ce. I was inside the car alone and in a daze. He said that Mr. Williams might have something to do with the death of Yve's father as well. I can't help but pity Yve. She had been through a lot and she' not really used to being stoic and strict in front of people. I know that as we investigate further, she will also experience more things and the possibility of getting hurt is growing bigger.

"I also need to prepare Nyelle for these moments as she will always be beside Yve."

Then out the blue, I received a text message from Vince.

"Hey, where are you? The ladies are looking for you. They already finished our dinner. Everything looks delicious! But if you don't want to eat, it's fine. I can finish everything on my own."

I immediately dial his number.

"Hey!!! Don't you dare start eating without me. I'm in the lobby and I'll be there in a minute!!"

I ran as fast as I can. How can I possibly miss the chance of eating Nyelle's food?!

YVE's POV

Edward arrived panting. It seemed like he really believed Vince and came rus.h.i.+ng back. The four of us are eating together. It was very peaceful and Edward and Nyelle seemed to be close already. Then all of a sudden, I felt Vince's hand in mine.

"Everything okay?" He looked a little worried.

I nodded in reply and said, "Yes. I just miss the times when I can just laugh like this with my father. I used to laugh like this while eating."

He lightly pinched my hand and said, "We can always eat like this if you want."

As I try to push back the tears, I tried to mock him a little by saying, "Will you always cook dinner for me, then?"

He wiped his mouth with the table napkin and moved forward inching his face closer to mine and said, "If that's what you want, I will gladly grant your request."

"Come on, guys! Single people are in here." Edward said.

"Well.. I don't think there will be one soon…." I looked at Edward and smiled cunningly.

"Wha…."

"Sir Edward, I think we should go now. Let's leave them for tonight." It was Nyelle.

I really think that Ed is into my best friend because one word from her was enough to stop him in his tracks. I don't want to pry into their businesses but in case Nyelle falls in love with Edward, I definitely wouldn't mind.

"Okay, then let me take you home, Nyelle." Edward offered to Nyelle.

"No, sir. I'm okay. I will take a cab from here." Nyelle said as she stood up and got her things from the living room. The three of us also stood up.

"But it's difficult to get cab here." Edward said.

Nyelle looked at me asking for verification while Edward was asking for my help. I said I wouldn't pry but given the time and the circ.u.mstances, having Edward drive her home is the safest option.

"Edward is right, Nyelle. Besides, it's already late."

"Okay then. Sir Edward, I'm sorry for the inconvenience." Nyelle said then bowed to Edward.

"I told you there's no need to bow, right?"

"We will go now, Yve and Vince." Edward bid his farewell while Nyelle waved her hand.

"Finally it's just the two of us." Vince said.

I turned to look at him and asked, "What do you mean? Isn't it okay with you when I asked permission to invite Nyelle this morning?"

"Well, it was fine but both of us are busy with work during the day so as much as possible I want the evenings to be spent with each other only." Vince declared as he gently embraced me.

"Okay. I'll take note of that." I embraced him back.

"How about I help you clean this up so that we can rest?" Vince offered to which I nodded my head in agreement.

I put the leftovers in microwavable containers and arranged them in the fridge while he wiped the table. After doing so, he started to wash the dishes so to make things faster, I offered to wipe the utensils and put them back in their respective drawers and cabinets.

"Ooops, I almost forgot! I still have the training regimen to finis.h.!.+ I can't sleep early tonight." I exclaimed.

"What training regimen?" Vince asked.

While we continue to wash the dishes, I told Vince on how the rest of my afternoon went. I even told him that I was able to write some songs for the other artists.

"Give me a copy of the lyrics and how you wanted them to sound like." Vince said.

"But I haven't finished everything yet." I said.

"It's fine. I will insert the song writing in between my work. But I got to tell you, I may not be good as before."

"Oh please Vince stop being so humble. Sometimes, it sounds like surreal coming from you."

"But I haven't…."

Then I stopped him by kissing him on the lips for about 2 seconds and run as fast as I can upstairs.

"YVE!! THAT'S NOT FAIR!!" He shouted as he was walking heavily towards the room. I locked the room in nervousness as I can feel my heartbeat so fast.

"To all the G.o.ds and G.o.ddesses in heaven, can you hear me? Please help me control this misguided feeling inside of me." I whispered.

Ever since I have made up my mind on what to do about my feelings for him, I can't help but want him more. I know that he loves me but the past few days, I've been wanting to put a label on him which says NO TRESPa.s.sING. PRIVATE PROPERTY or something like that.

Is this feeling inside me still normal? Or am I being too greedy for wanting more?

I really don't know anymore. But one thing's clear, I love Vince and there wasn't a single time that it changed, even until now.
