This Time You Are Mine 9 Morning

I opened my eyes and saw a very nice morning view. The ray of sunlight is being reflected in different tall buildings in the city. I got up out of the bed and walked closer towards the window. After a few minutes, everything that happened last night came flas.h.i.+ng to my mind. I turned and looked around the room and saw his things. I wondered how I came to the room when the last thing I remembered was watching a comedy show in his living room.

Well, amidst all the confusion, I decided to fix the bed and went to the comfort room to wash myself. I finished was.h.i.+ng my face and realized that there is no spare toothbrush.So, I went down and decided to just leave. Yes, I wanted to leave hit place without saying goodbye. I was already in front of the main door when I heard a voice.

"Leaving so soon?" It was Vincent.

I took a deep breath, turned around and said, "Yes, I need to go. I didn't know that you are here. I thought you are already in the office."

"Office at 6:30 in the morning?"

I can't find the right words to say. I just looked around the place until my gaze pa.s.sed him by and stared at him for quite some time. He looked so hot wearing an ap.r.o.n. It looked like he already took a bath and is wearing his polo and formal pants for the day.

"It's okay, Yve. I was just kidding. But please join me for breakfast?"

"But, Vi.."

"Please? You know that I don't like eating alone and besides the table is very big for me." I can see the sincerity in his eyes.

I know that he is telling the truth because when we were together that is one of his issues, not that I don't mind. I find it cute and romantic. But now, I am not sure.

"Okay." I said and went to the dining table.

"Why don't you call your secretary to eat with you?"

"Because I thought that you will eat with me." He immediately answered without having any second thought and took his seat.

"Vince, you know that it was just last night that..."

"I know. I understand that you want to think things through." He said anxiously while avoiding my eyes and finally he looked up.

"But please don't run away from me. You can think about it thoroughly without avoiding me."

"Hmm, okay." I nodded.

He smiled and said, "I'll be expecting that. Now, let's eat our breakfast."

I am thankful that Vince is not pus.h.i.+ng me. But I have to be very careful. Breaking up with him was the best solution I came up but it was one of my greatest regrets.

Both of us eat our breakfast in silence. Although, the food are the leftover from last night's feast, it was still delicious. Some have even tasted better after heating such as the spaghetti becoming creamier and the soup being spicier. But I really like it.

I didn't notice the time not until his phone rang. I looked at the wall clock and noticed that it's 15 minutes pa.s.sed 7 and he has work to do. Despite his phone call, I asked him a question.

"Are you finished?"

He nodded his head in response and I decided to clean the table. I am thinking of letting him prepare himself for work. But, my actions won't be a little bit across the line right?

"Let them be. I can call the housekeeper and clean them up." He said after finis.h.i.+ng his call.

"No, it's fine. Just prep yourself up. I'll finish this in a short while."

He left and was walking up the stairs when I asked,"How about your lunch? Should I wrap some of this?"

"Yeah, sure. You should also wrap something for yourself."

"But..."

"If you will not wrap something for yourself, then don't bother giving me lunch." I was about to object but he slammed the door behind.

I guess I should comply. Maybe the phone call was a bad news. He is not the type of person to release his anger to people immediately. I will make things a little bit easier for him. I will obey him for now. I mean, only at this time.

A few moments later, he came out the room. On the other hand, I also finished was.h.i.+ng the dishes and packing lunch boxes for the two of us.

"Shall we?"

"Yeah, but you know what?" He looked at me confused.

"You don't need to take me home. If something's urgent at work, you can go there directly."

"No! I have a meeting but I can still make it and Edward can brief me on the way."

"WHILE DRIVING?!!! NO WAY!!"

I shouted at him and he looked at me with a shocked look on his face. I looked down and said, "I'm sorry."

"It's fine. Don't worry."

Vince looked at me. I can see that he is bothered by how I reacted. He can't blame me right? It reminded me of a painful event that turned my whole world upside down.
