My Way To You 302 What Am I To You?

'Ariana! I have to say you have really showed your greatness with that lowly being!' Rahul purred as he landed on top of Ariana's head. "Rahul, I was only pus.h.i.+ng his b.u.t.tons. Honestly how dense can a man be? Especially when you are practically telling him the girl he is eyeing also loves him too? But I have to say, I thought he would have reacted a little differently instead blushed like a young maiden in love." Ariana said with an amused look.

'Useless, a man who can not man up is utterly usless.' Rahul said as he nestled himself into Araiana's hair. Ariana went completley silent. 'Have you thought of a way to observe her?" Loralei asked, breaking Ariana out of her thoughts. "Duko, I will be relying on you heavily." Ariana said in an authoritative tone. Duko rushed up, front and center.

His eyes were sparkling and he sat in front of Ariana. 'Yes.' He barked back. Ariana smiled when she looked at Duko, she could imagine a man in his late twenties in a military uniform waiting for his orders. "I will need you to report Edlyn's whereabouts whenever she is not within my sight. As for everyone else I'm sorry but I will need you to go into your stone form. You will be on standby until I need your help." Ariana ordered.

The Lumas went silent, they reluctantly nodded their heads as they gave Ariana a pitiful look. Especially Vasu, he was making the whole situation ten times worse. Ariana felt a horrible sting in her heart and trembled as she held her position. She was doing it for their own good, the Lumas were not at full strength. "G-go on, I shouldn't have to repeat myself, go on and have a good rest. D-Duko have you found Edlyn yet?" Ariana asked awkwardly, her heart was swaying.

'Dorm room.' Duko replied. "I can't observe her in the room. That destroys the whole purpose." Ariana mumbled. 'Can we stay out then?' Vasu asked as he floated over and nudged Ariana's right shoulder. 'We'll be good. We won't do anything unecessary.' Davita said pitifully while Rahul clung to the back of Ariana's left shoulder. "You guys are awful... Do you have no shame? I guess it's alright just don't over do it." Ariana sighed. 

'It looks like we can't stick around.' Loralei giggled while Vasu rolled his eyes. The other Lumas looked and couldn't help but smile. They instantly changed into their stone forms and rested on Ariana's ear lobes. Ariana was confused, she went through an emotional rollercoaster for what? "They are being quite considerate." Cayden called out as he walked towards her.

Ariana turned beat red when she saw his face. Her mind went blank and she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear as she bashfully looked away. "Are you the one watching over me today?" She asked quietly as Cayden stopped right in front of her. "I am now... Lobo met with Xander and he volunteered. I thought it was weird since Xander wasn't ever enthusiastic about guard duty unless Edlyn was with you." Cayden explained.

Ariana looked up and Cayden narrowed his gaze at Ariana. "So why did you switch?" Ariana asked as she batted her long eyelashes. Cayden gingerly cupped Ariana's face, Ariana instinctively closed her eyes, Cayden gently brushed her neck with the tips of his fingers. "What happened?" He asked in a low voice.

Ariana's eyes shot wide open. She took a step back but Cayden wrapped his arm around her waist and held her firmly in place. With the other hand he unfastened Ariana's chocker and held it up for her to see. Ariana looked at the destroyed flower on the chocker then at Cayden. In a split second he dropped the choker and touched her neck. "What happened?" He asked in a hushed voice, his eyes reflected his worry.

Ariana gulped, she then wet her lips with her tongue as she tried to buy herself some time to think of an excuse. "I'll ask Xander." Cayden said as he released Ariana's waist. Ariana quickly grabbed Cayden's arm and held him back. She dropped her gaze, causing her face to slightly shadow. "It was a misunderstanding." Ariana mumbled. "What misunderstanding?!" Cayden growled. 

Ariana brought up her gaze, her lips were trembling and eyes were already starting to water. "Let it go. I already handled it." Ariana pleaded. Cayden tried to yank his arm free but Ariana latched on with her whole body.

"I had a really rough night after the Dabneys left for their date, I got spolied in the morning by the Dabneys too, then I remembered I have a mission to complete and started to feel lonely then this happened. When I saw you I felt relieved... I felt safe. I hoped you would hug me, stroke my hair and ask me about what was going on.... Can you not hug me? Please wrap me in your arms and say that you'll be with me no matter what?" Ariana pleaded with a pitifuly voice.

Cayden flinched. He heard from Lobo that she cried her heart out. Something happened and he couldn't comfort her, Lobo just sat watching Ariana cry because he had no idea what had caused her heart ache. "I... Ariana, tell me what is going on. I want to help you." Cayden said in defeat as he pulled Ariana into his embrace. 

"I told the girls in my dorm that I was almost r*ped, I started a 'Hottest guy in uniform' poll, I got into a fight with Edlyn, Aroha and Duko told me about their past lives, Mrs. Dabney dressed me up in an embara.s.sing outfit, I got reminded of something so sad I wanted to run away from everything and-and-and I have no idea what my relations.h.i.+p with you is?! Why do I have to tell you to hug me? Why am I feeling so insecure with you? Are you playing with me feelings? Am I dirty and you just pity me? Am I a toy to you? I can't stop me thoughts.... Cayden I feel really lonely." Ariana ranted with despair.

Cayden tightened his embrace. Ariana could feel his body tremble as he hugged her. "Why are you hurting yourself?" Cayden whispered before he placed a sweet kiss on her forehead.
