My Way To You 334 Eve And Emmeline Part 1

Ariana sat on the couch, rereading the book that Mrs. Dabney wrote about the human body as Brie slept in her basinet close by. Ariana closed the book then moved her hand to the bridge of her nose. She had read Mrs. Dabney's book so many times she had it completely memorized. Even her own side notes and examples. She started to pinch the bridge of her nose as she closed her eyes. 

"Why didn't any of you stop me?" Ariana finally asked out into the air. She waited a few seconds then sighed. "Do you think that I will be distracted? I really need to hear the rest of your stories if we want to move forward. I don't even know when the members of the church will come and it's driving me insane." Ariana said as she removed her hand from her face and laid down on the couch.

Still, none of her Lumas spoke up. Ariana ran her hand along the side of the couch as she remebered what happened earlier that day. Her heart rate increased as a blush spread across her face. She then turned to the window and saw that the sun was finally setting. "You know I wasn't afraid. I wanted it more then anything but once I calmed down I seriously wondered if my brain was damaged...." Ariana said out loud but she knew her Lumas were purposely ignoring her. She didn't blame them.

"Did.... Evangeline... did she have problems when she lost her virginity? Was my father the one who took it? Why did you leave her? Why was she still loved by the fairies if she was no longer a virgin? Did she lose her power? I guess not if she summoned me into this world but anyone can summon a soul, it costs them their lives and then what? Oblivion... Why do I have to be kept in the dark about so much?" Ariana asked as she rolled her body sideways and just stared out the window.

"You know. I never really talk so much about my sister's death before. Even though I only told people I killed her but no one wanted to know anything more about it... But then again I really didn't want to talk about either. Just remembering Emmeline is still painful. She was older then me by 5 minutes. Heheh, my mom refused to do cesarean. Apparently twins is an omen in my family and they couldn't just kill me so they left it all to fate. So my mom paid the doctors triple to let her give birth naturally...."

"Who knew I would have survived. I actually didn't at first you know. The umbilical cord wrapped around my neck and I came out purple. They say I saved myself, my tiny fist was next to to my neck and the cord couldn't cut off my air supply completely but I still practically suffocated. The moment my parents saw us they begged the doctors to save me. They sucked the fluid out of my lungs and I cried on my own. My parents saw it as a miracle and refused to give me away to other family members. No matter what anyone said."

"Looking back my parents gave me so much love and attention that my memories of us being a complete family was nothing but beautiful. I don't know if that's the truth though. I want to believe it as the truth. I was so young when I lost my sister... Yet I can remeber her so well. She was strong, smart, pretty, cheerful and talented in everything she ever did. I had to put a little more effort into what I did but my family always cheered me on."

"So when we entered the first grade.... I thought... I wish I could go back and tell myself that I needed to be stronger. I had to be stronger. I had the power to stop what was going on and not leave Emmeline alone. But being the coward that I am, I left her alone with those bad people... just saving myself...."

"Eevee, Eevee, Plwease wake up. Eeevee, I'm so starred." A sweet voice called out. Eve opened her eyes but everything looked dark and scary. Eve blinked a few times and a blur started to come into focus. "Emmy? Why you trying?" Eve asked as she tried to sit up but her body hurt all over. "Eevee, shhh! Dere are bad people here." Emmeline said as she brought up her small index finger to her lips, tears spilling over her dirty cheeks.

Eve always listened to her big sister no matter what the situation was and this time was not any different. "Emmy where are we?" Eve asked in a soft whisper. "I don't know Eevee but I think we are by da sea." Emmeline said as her small body trembled. She tried her best to keep a smile on her face so not to scary her sister but the room was pretty dark. 

Eve looked around and noticed small cracks in the wall. Small rays of sunlight was s.h.i.+ning through but there was nothing much else in the room. It was bare, the only thing in the room was her and her sister. Eve could feel her fear taking over. Her eyes started to sting as her face started to scrunch up. "Shhh, shh Eevee. I'm here. No stary people here. Day outside. See look a door." Emmeline said with a gentle voice as she pointed a shaky index finger towards a very faint light that shone on the floor,

"Sniff... otay Emmy... Do you member what happen?" Eve asked as she cleaned up her tears with the back of her hands. "Ya... I do." Emmeline said as she brought back her hand and hugged her knees. "Me too." Eve said as she looked at Emmeline.

It was the first day of school. They finally started the first grade and felt like big girls. Security was a little bit more laxed for the grade schoolers as the teachers need to focus on the preschoolers. They were small and didn't know who they were allowed to go home with. So there was a huge risk for them to be kidnapped. St. Berdadine was a prestigous school and boasted about their students academics, extra ciriculars, sports teams and safety. Their reputation was second to none.
