"So I'll see you tomorrow morning, bright and early right?" Mrs. Dabney said as she grabbed one more strawberry lava cake. "Yes and I promise not to be late." Ariana said as she patted her belly. "What are you doing tomorrow morning?" Halina asked as she plated another helping of meatb.a.l.l.s. "Yoga. Would you like to join? Honestly the more the merrier!" Mrs. Dabney said as her eyes sparkled with antic.i.p.ation. "Yo-ga?" Talisha asked but Mrs. Dabney just gave her a polite smile. "An exercise that focuses on both the physical and spiritual needs of the body by doing very specific breathing as you move your body into different positions."

"That sounds very delightful. I think I may join such activity." Talisha said. "Like I said the more the merrier but Ms. Valentina... you do know you are aloud to act as yourself." Mrs. Dabney said as she eyed Talisha. "I will take your advice into consideration but for now I think I must excuse myself. It has gotten late and I have yet to bathe. I will see you all at another time." Talisha said as she elegantly rose and excused herself. "Mmmh that one my be a hard nut to crack." Mrs. Dabney said as she pointed her fork at Talisha's retreating back. "Maybe not." Mr. Dabney said as he plated his third helping. "I heard she was quite the fighter back in the day."

Ariana was the last to arrive at her dorm room, everyone else was already fast asleep. She had stayed behind to help the mess hall ladies wash the dishes and look over other recipes on more time. She didn't dare go to the bathhouse all alone this late at night and just decided to wash in the morning.

With the mess hall ladies permission, everyone agreed to make every Thursday evening a cooking cla.s.s. Everyone was enthusiastic about learning something new and eating afterwards. With a heavy sigh she changed into her pajamas. 'Ariana....' Vasu called out while the other Lumas snuggled themselves into their ma.s.sive bed. "Yes Vasu?" Ariana said with a yawn as she stretched out her arm upwards. 'Talk.' He said as he watched her from the bed.

Ariana looked at Vasu and sighed. She was avoiding her Lumas and they were avoiding her. She didn't want to face them, finding out that she was not their true Master was a huge blow. Finding out that they were actual people was another, she wanted to wrap her head around the information but it was too much. She did what she thought was the best option, the cowards way out and postpone any conversation with them. "Let's go outside." She said as she grabbed a night robe. She fastened the belt and went for the door, as she put her hand on the handle she could sense that it was just Vasu. "Are you not joining?" She called out but the Lumas ignored her. "Fine..." She mumbled and walked out the room.

She walked down the stairs and around the building. She didn't want to go too far but she didn't want others to hear her one sided conversation or worse the whole conversation. So she picked a tree and made herself comfortable by the trunk. "So speak." She said as Vasu sat himself in front of her. His body glowed a neon pink colour as he his beady eyes stared up at her. 'Do not interrupt.' He said courtly and Ariana couldn't help but turn her head. She didn't want Vasu to see the corners of her lips twitch, she had already forgiven Vasu in her heart. She knew he had to no malice in him but the fact that he opened his mouth was upsetting.

"Sure but after you're done I will get to lecture you without any complaint." She said with a pout while Vasu's eyes sparkled with delight. He jumped up into the air and landed on her lap. He started to paw at her hand with his chubby hoof and she couldn't help but lift it up in response. He quickly put his head under her palm and laid down. 'I'm scared.' He said, honestly shocking Ariana. She wanted to say something comforting but instead kept her mouth sealed and gently stroked his head.

'I only ever loved twice in my whole existence.... once as my human self and the second was when I was after my transformation.' He said with a melancholy tone. Vasu could feel Ariana's hand tremble as she kept it in place. 'But I know you want to talk about what happened today and what our mission is... "Jomei! Time to wake up!" A super chipper voice called out as a blanket was ripped off the bed. "...No." A young man's voice said as he rolled into his pillow. "Jomei! Honestly we can't keep having you get up late every morning! It's very inappropriate for a prince." The voice said in a huff. "Prince, commoner, n.o.ble, servant, who cares... we all need to sleep, so give me five more minutes." Jomei groaned. "Really now?! You said five more minutes and hour ago! Honestly I can't let you sleep anymore then this our your mother will have my head!" The woman shrieked.

"Sheena... my stepmother... not behead... for food." Jomei said as she slowly sat up. He stretched out as he yawned dramatically as he rubbed one eye. "Jomei... I... I don't think I can wake you up after today." Sheen said as she blushed slightly. "It's finally time?" Jomei asked as he scratched the back of his head lazily. It didn't take long for Jomei to get ready and go down to breakfast. "Well finally we can have our meal!" A young woman's voice exclaimed as she banged her hands against the table. Her hair was tied up into a low bun with sweeping locks and curls pinned around it. Her fair skin was starting to show her age but she wasn't as far aged as other woman in the late forties. "Mom! I can play with my big brother if I want too!" Aayus.h.i.+ cried out as her lavender coloured eyes sparkled and her honey pink fair framed her pouting face.

"Stepbrother." The mother corrected. "Stepbrother, half brother, blood brother, sworn brother or blood related brother. At the end of the day he is my brother and I love him." Aayus.h.i.+ said as she flashed a charming smile. "Jomei, did you hear that? You should respond to your stepsister's confession." The woman said as the maids started to bring out the food. "Yes, Queen Miranda." Jomei answered as he bowed. "I love you as if you were my real sister." He said as he turned to the fair lady. His dark pink eyes were colder then the northern winds and his face completely void of emotions. Aayus.h.i.+ smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. "Thank you brother." She said then quickly turned to her food.

"Jomei... how is Sheena." A deep voice asked and Jomei didn't respond. Instead he walked to his chair and sat in front of an older male. He looked youthful, his skin was slightly tanned, he had a n.o.ble face and icy blue eyes. The only thing that gave away his age was his wavy grey hair that was partially slicked back. "Fine... baby should be here soon." He replied as he lazily poked at his breakfast sausage. "Ahh..." The male said as he picked up his cup of coffee. "Darling husband.... why do you care?" Miranda asked as she poked around her meal. "Well we need to replace her or else Jomei will never leave his bed, if we leave him alone." The male said after he sipped his coffee.

"I can wake him!" Aayus.h.i.+ said as she jumped up from her chair. Her face was beaming with hope. "Please daddy Kalmin! Oh... I mean my King." Aayus.h.i.+ shouted happily but quickly composed himself and bowed to her stepfather. "Aayus.h.i.+! How can you ask something so absurd!" Miranda yelled causing Aayus.h.i.+ to flinch. "Miranda... I haven't given my answer and you are already giving judgment? Are you not overstepping your boundaries?" Kalmin said as he shot her a deadly glare. Miranda paled and dropped her gaze. "No my King. I would never." She replied humbly. "I thought so... Aayus.h.i.+ I will consider it, after I carefully think about it." He said as he brought his gaze back to his stepdaughter.

Aayus.h.i.+ started to sweat and shot Jomei a pitiful look. "Yes... my King." She said before sitting back down. Jomei ate his breakfast without a word while the room became incredible tense. "My King!" Sheena barged in, face completely drenched in sweat and tears. She dropped to her knees and started to bow. "I humbly ask for permission to leave... It seems that my water has broken and the baby will be here soon." She said breathlessly as she winced every other word. "You disgusting wench!" Miranda shouted as she shot up from her chair. "You better have not stained anything in this house with your s.l.u.tty baby water!" She shrieked at the top of lungs.

"No my queen... huff... huff... I was outside.... huff... tending the garden." She said as she continued to further lose her composure. "You b*tch! You have defiled my babies outside! Leave! Never darken our castle again!" Miranda yelled as she pointed towards the exit. "Mother please! This girl needs a doctor!" Aayus.h.i.+ cried as she looked at Sheena. "Aayus.h.i.+ stay silent!" Miranda yelled as veins popped down her slender neck. "Enough!" Kalmin said as he elegantly rose from his chair. "Sheena leave, I will send someone with your things. Aayus.h.i.+ to my study now." He said and walked out of the room.

Sheena paled, she looked like she was ready to faint. Miranda sat silently as she stared at her plate while Aayus.h.i.+ looked positively horrified. Her body trembled from head to toe while Jomei did what he always did... nothing.

Aayus.h.i.+ took her first stiff steps forward until she reached Sheena. She place a hand on her back. "Sorry." She whispered before she stepped out. "Jomei you may leave now." Miranda said in a hollow voice. Jomei shrugged before he got up. His chestnut hair swayed as he moved. He saw Sheena but refused to even speak to her, instead he walked right out and headed towards his room. "Disgusting." He said as he climbed the stairs.

It had been a year since the incident. Aayus.h.i.+ had gotten her way and was happily waking up the prince every morning. "Jomei... time to wake up." She sang sweetly. "Five more minutes." He groaned but Aayus.h.i.+ giggled. Her sweet, bell like laugh filled his ears and he couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Jomei... if you get up now I will reward you." She said as she jumped on top of his body. Jomei quickly flipped over catching Aayus.h.i.+ and causing her to squeal in delight. "My love, please tell me what will be my reward if I get up now?" "If you stay in bed with me 10 more minutes I promise to reward you." Jomei growled. "Oh! What will be my reward then?" Aayus.h.i.+ asked as she brought up her tiny, pink lips close to his face. Jomei's switch was turned on and he quickly pounced on his beloved princess.

Jomei started to rub Aayus.h.i.+'s slightly swollen abdomen with an affectionate hand. "Why don't we tell them about us?" Jomei asked as he placed a loving kiss on Aayus.h.i.+ bare abdomen. "We can't. I told you. It can never work out." Aayus.h.i.+ said in cold tone that Jomei was only used to when it came talks about their relations.h.i.+p. "No there was no way... she was already to give birth.. she was fine... I mean... she was alive when I last saw her." Jomei said as his grip started to tighten around Aayus.h.i.+'s wrist.

"My mother got rid of Sheena that day! Father has been furious that mother has not be able to give him an heir." She said as she took deep breathes in between her words. "Why would he need an heir? I am able and willing to take the throne whenever he wants." Jomei said as he released her wrist and walked back to the bed. He sat down and stared at Aayus.h.i.+ who in turn was ma.s.saging her wrist. "The problem is you are not the current Queen's son! My mother is cruel! You have no idea how much pressure my mother is under because of this! Every night, after father does his obliged duties, she cries alone in her room while she carefully plots her plans." Aayus.h.i.+ yelled but Jomei just stared at her completely poker face.

Aayus.h.i.+ let out a deep sigh before she started to get herself dressed. "Father doesn't believe that it is his fault that he has not been able to properly seed my mother... so he took it upon himself to try and fertilize whomever he could and poor Sheena was one of his many lovers." She said as she finger brushed her hair. Jomei's mouth had gone dry, he could feel sweat rolling down his back and pain from clenching his hands so tightly. "What is your mother planning?" Jomei was finally able to ask after taking a deep calming breath.

"I don't know... most likely an a.s.sa.s.sination once she is able to conceive. Or maybe murder both husband and his first born... poison, hunting accident, left out in the middle of nowhere with both your legs broken.... who knows but all I can really say is that whatever needs to done will be done in order to keep my child safe." Aayus.h.i.+ said as she gave Jomei a pitiful smile. While Jomei started to slip into his own thoughts. She then made her way towards the door. "So Sheena... is she really dead? How do you know? She could have actually survived whatever your mom did." He finally asked as Aayus.h.i.+ placed a hand on top of the door handle. "I was there when my mother buried her."

Jomei's body went numb as if a bolt of lightning struck his heart. "Then what of her child? What of my, our younger sibling?" Jomei asked as he instantly regretted asking the question. A horrible wave of panic washed over him. "Organs were harvested and sold on the black market while the best part of the child was fed to my mother to preserve her youth." Aayus.h.i.+ answered nonchalantly, all life, happiness and emotion left her eyes and Jomei had to keep the stomach bile that was threatening to escape down. He swallowed back saliva but felt something lodge itself in his throat as he did. Keeping his next words locked away in his mind. "My child will be kept safe." Aayus.h.i.+ said coldly as she turned to the door, she opened it and walked right out of the room.

You are late to breakfast this morning and honestly we can't wait for you any more." Kalmin said as he picked up his cup of coffee. Jomei kept silent and dropped his gaze to the floor. "I have had enough of your insolence!" Kalmin shouted as he flung his cup of coffee towards Jomei's face. He didn't dodge and allowed the cup to shatter against his forehead. The impact sliced the top of his right brow and blood slowly started to trickle downwards.

He heard some gasps and some chair movement but he didn't care. He focused all his energy towards one person in the room and waited to see what he would be doing next. "Honestly this good for nothing has no use in this castle anymore. Once the child is born I will pa.s.s the throne to them regardless of their gender." He said coolly as his heavy footsteps slowly approached Jomei.

Jomei held his breath, he could feel the rhythm of his heart pounding against his chest. "Choose leave or stay... I don't care anymore." Kalmin said as he walked past. Jomei didn't mutter a single sound and refused to lift his head until he was 100 percent sure that he was safe. He looked up and saw that not only had his father left, Miranda and Aayus.h.i.+ had disappeared. Jomei looked slightly to the right and felt his eyes starting to sting. A faint image of a pregnant Sheena begging and crying to leave was burned into his memory.

He tried to leave the room but a sharp pain in his chest stopped him from taking one step forward. He looked at the spot again and the area became fuzzy. "What have I done?" He whispered to himself as he placed his hand over his mouth, stopping himself from scream out his agony and pain. Tears rolled out and over his hand as he started to hyperventilate. Sheena was gone. While his younger sibling was brutally murdered for the Queen's vitality.
