"What are you proposing?", Zhu Rong was curious. If that mortal is eliminated then she can fairly fight her sister for Fei Lian.

"That girl...",Mazu whispered, "She is doubted to have obtained divinity and is on the way to become a G.o.d! In fact rumours are that she might be powerful enough to become the next Heavenly Emperor! It could be true, you saw the way the Emperor treated her, right? Like his equal..! "

"What?", Zhu Rong was flabbergasted. No human can ascend to G.o.dhood and that too in their first life! Foxes have to try for thousand years and for humans... It is impossible.!

"Look", Mazu continued, "It is all speculation right now and it is entirely possible it is all wrong but the fact that she is different is undeniable. So....", she looked around if anyone else is there and continued,

"We cannot touch her. But that human has many weaknesses... Do you know her blood is too powerful against all spells and even the spell Feil Lian put on her to secure her life would be broken by her blood... Get this, even if that mark on her back gets scratched or her blood gets on the mark accidentally, her life would end"

"Really?", Zhu Rong was happily surprised. So that mortal is that fragile? Is that why she is being protected like a treasure?

"But", Mazu patted Zhu Rong's hand, "She cannot die... Even if she dies, she'll be brought back until she kills Old Rong!"

"So we'll have to wait until she kills Old Rong?", Zhu Rong was not happy.

"We cannot kill her but we can make her fall from the good graces of the Heavenly Emperor and her G.o.dly status revoked if she could ascend", Mazu gave an evil smirk. If that happens she won't have anyone to support her and will suffer for trying to seduce a G.o.d. She does have a lot of enemies in the three realms.

"What have you planned, sister?", Zhu Rong was curious . Her sister is not someone who decides on a whim.

"I've already started acting.... I came here to tell you not to interfere. Just wait... Let's not make Fei Lian skeptical of us! ", Mazu stood up to leave.

"I'll trust you on this then", Zhu Rong could not hide her happiness that was expressed by her wide grin. That mortal should have known her place!

While the jealous G.o.ddesses were plotting against Xing unnecessarily, in a secure place in the South Eastern Borders of the Wind Kingdom, s.h.i.+hong and Chenglie was having tea.

Chenglie had found out that just like Xing, s.h.i.+hong has this entire village that is close to the Quingze river for him as the entire village are his subordinates. That village was more like the quarters of the henchmen of s.h.i.+hong who fared like commoners receiving the benefits of the government but their loyalties was with s.h.i.+hong.

Whenever the government was searching he'd cross the Quingze river to stay in the Earth Kingdom. That's how he had been protected till now.

These days s.h.i.+hong has been trusting Chenglie and that's why he sent him to a.s.sa.s.sinate the Water Emperor. His subordinates have already explained to him what happened there and how 'Lord Táng' had beat them by doing nothing... Just standing there.

s.h.i.+hong believed that Lord Táng and Huang Mingxia were twins and Huang Mingxia would dress as her brother often. And that Huang Mingxia is more powerful and smarter that Lord Táng and that's why the G.o.ds chose her to beat Old Rong.

When Chenglie realised s.h.i.+hong believes that way because that's how it is supposed to be according to her fate, he just let him continue to have such beliefs. After all it benefits them. His Xing giving her ident.i.ty as Táng Xing to Haru had helped s.h.i.+hong's belief because no person can be at two places at the same time.

Even now, the Empress is on a carriage, on the way to southern borders, while Lord Táng is in the Earth Kingdom..! Just how smart and lucky is she? Her opponents get cheated by themselves.

But Chenglie could not find Old Rong anywhere as he didn't know where s.h.i.+hong is keeping him.

s.h.i.+hong explained to Chenglie how he is going to ruin the reputation of Huang Mingxia by kidnapping her from the barracks and handing her over to those men from the tribes whom she had offended previously for them to have their way with her as much as they please.

Chenglie fisted his hands under the table and tried to be impa.s.sive as always. He chided Xing in his heart for purposely hurting the envoy from the tribes. She knew s.h.i.+hong would derive to that conclusion and so she provoked them.

With their military might, they cannot win over the tribal army and the G.o.ds combined. So tricks like these are mandatory, if they have to win this war. But still Chenglie felt uneasy for Xing to put herself in danger like this.

Of course she will be prepared for this attack as she herself is planned for it but what if something like what happened in the inner palace where she get poisoned happened again? s.h.i.+hong has been looking for strong aphrodisiacs lately!

Chenglie just grabbed the back of his ugly head and slammed his forehead on the stone table they were sitting...!

Blood started oozing from his opened skull and started to drip down on the sand flowing through the table.

s.h.i.+hong is dead! Yay! Now everyone is safe...!

Chenglie snapped out from his imagination...the eight one he had that day and gave a slight smile.

"I'd love to! I might be joining in the fun too", he smirked. Heaven knows how much he had to control himself from showing his true emotions.

"No!", s.h.i.+hong shouted startling him, "You can only watch!"

Chenglie pinched his thigh under the table to not lose his senses and rage kill s.h.i.+hong, " You are right! Who knows how many she had bedded and what diseases she might have contracted !"

Oh, My love! Why are you making me say all these despicable words about you!

"Yes! My smart wolf! ", s.h.i.+hong patted Chenglie's hand above the table and his contended face made Chenglie want to punch him.

Chenglie pulled his hands away from s.h.i.+hong's grip and got up, "I'll make the necessary preparations", he left clenching his fists and went to a bamboo forest nearby and chapped the bamboo trees to get the rage inside him to subside.
