The summer sun shone brightly making the water look a nice hue of blue while the sky was a beautiful blue with no clouds. Even the wind that blew was hot and burning.

Xing saw the Water Emperor standing by the water letting his feet getting kissed by the waves reaching the sh.o.r.es and walked towards him.

Xing felt the heat seeping through her shoes to her feet. Her face and her little exposed skin in her hands started to burn by the harsh sun. Xing herself was surprised by how delicate she had turned to. She was literally wandering around a desert a couple of years back with no issues.

With a sigh, she looked up. A bright red parasol came to her view hiding the sun above her head and she turned with a smile.

It was one of many instances he helped the poor and he won't remember all of it but for the woman it was a life altering event and she never forgot it.

The woman's husband got better and in a couple of years, she gave birth to a son who later joined the Ouyang Navy led by Haru's second son and became one of his trusted men and he even saved his life in one instance.

And so this was one of the many instances, Xing used her powers and it inadvertently helped others and in turn she and her kin got helped. She never knew of it and carried on with her life as usual. She always created an impact whatever she did. It was Chenglei who connected some of those later in his life but by then there were a whole bunch of people whose fates were changed by Xing.

The water Emperor saw Xing and Chenglei walking towards him and seeing them not carrying his son, his eyes were filled with disappointment. Seeing them walking hand in hand, he felt his heart filled with sorrow he never could get over with.

He came here accepting their invitation because he wished they'd let him see his son at least once before he goes and kills himself.

'My wife... I killed her! If she was here we'd be walking together like this too... And here I am.. I don't even know how my son looks like... Pathetic! I deserve it! I deserve it all... It would be more fitting to die by this woman's hand... My wife trusted her more than me after all. Maybe my wife will accept me in our next life if I tell her I got avenged by her friend for killing her.'

'Why isn't she angry? Don't she hate shedding innocent blood? Why isn't she attacking me?'

As Xing reached him, she saw the Water Emperor looking exasperated.as if all his plans had flopped.

"Ha... A few?", he added as if he got an idea., his eyes brightened, " I killed a woman carrying my child before I left for here. Can that be..."
