"Watch." The girl approached the now empty table. She then turned to Lauren, a hand extended out. "Give me anything sharp."

"Huh?" asked the confused woman, a brow raised.

"Hand me any of the knives from the table on your left side."

The unkempt woman reluctantly complied with the girl's weird request. The next thing that happened after was blood suddenly splas.h.i.+ng in the air, later dyeing some part of the operating table and the floor underneath it with the color red. The two's noses also got a.s.saulted by the heavy metallic and weird smell.

"Aaahhh!" A cry resounded not long after, fully expressing the sudden pain that the person felt.

Lauren's eyes and mouth opened wide again, but Sofony did not see it and even if she could, she would not pay the scientist's response much attention.

She once again swung down the blade in her right hand. The other watching this scene heard that pained voice again and now she totally believed that the bound woman earlier had not left. Blood was everywhere and the thought that it came from nowhere had her quite shaken, but later on, she realized that Clarissa probably turned transparent. It was quite unbelievable. But since she was still there, it means she couldn't move and leave.

Now she remembered Sofony mentioning something akin to a super sedative drug to her.

"I see. So she is just invisible..." Lauren exclaimed.

"But wow, there are really people like her who could do wonders!" Then, the pandeyed woman raised her voice. She was looking at Sofony with admiration when she said, "Since she turns to be a real superwoman, it's a miracle that normal people like us actually managed to capture her! You're also very amazing because even when she became unseen, you still believe she could not leave!"

Sofony, an immoral host mistaken for an admirable normal person, ignored her. The girl's eyes were red, and tears were actually already starting to stream down her face. She struck the invisible woman once again, not caring which part the sharp blade landed to, just knowing it hit the loathful woman.

Anyway, what she was using was only a small knife, it should be okay to stab Clarissa a few more times, right? She just really wanted to let out some of her grievances and anger to this woman. This wouldn't kill her, right?

However, she remembered that their torture plan did not include Clarissa dying so she paused for a few seconds to ponder about it.

A few moments later, the girl's actions resumed, blood then started to scatter once more in the place, with some reaching her clothes. However, Sofony did not mind the sticky liquid that splashed on her black dress as she began to speak, her eyes still slightly red and her breathing heavy. The voice she used was full of hate and resentment as she stabbed again.

"Clarissa! You d.a.m.nable witch!"

Another pained moan echoed after, accompanying the sound of something being struck.

"How does it feel..." she huffed and raised the small weapon again.

"To suddenly end up captured by someone weaker than you?"

"To get done by someone you thought didn't matter as much as that freak of a boy?"

"Have you ever imagined yourself ending up this way?"

"It's funny, right?" she asked before pulling out the small knife which got buried in the soft flesh.

Sofony froze with her hand holding the knife also stopping midair. It was because Clarissa's body reappeared again and now she could see how b.l.o.o.d.y the white gown the other was wearing had become. Clarissa was half-lying on the table, trembling in pain and anger while s.h.i.+elding her stomach.

It seemed it was the part that she got repeatedly stabbed just now.

Clarissa looked up at the other and if only a gaze could kill, Sofony would have long dropped dead. The injuries she received today was incomparable to being repeatedly burned down by Leo Jones' deadly petty tricks, but she felt more vulnerable this time due to the poison. The pain and anger were clouding her judgment too, causing her to curse and glare at Sofony.

However, the same could actually be said to Clarissa because when the black-dressed girl recovered from the stupor caused by personally seeing the part she injured, her red-rimmed eyes also started to throw dagger-like stares at the other.

To be honest, Sofony looked a bit off. Just as the Level 5 kid described, a bit crazy. And this started after the meeting with him at the airport. Perhaps this would also explain why she suddenly became more decisive about tonight's confrontation.

"Isn't this funny?" she once again questioned. "The weak me defeated you. And now you'll be reduced into nothing but a d.a.m.n, lab, rat!"

Clarissa snarled an answer. "...Wh..ore!"

Sofony laughed, and it looked weird to Lauren because tears were still coming out of her eyes. Shaking her head, the girl briefly signaled the scientist through her gaze and then focused again on the semi-paralyzed host. Actually, she sensed a budding danger somewhere, therefore, she paid points for the system to make the poison's hallucinatory and cognitive distorting effects act up onto the only possible source of that threat.

After eyeing Clarissa one last time, she walked to Lauren. Sofony handed her a pill bottle and said, "I'll be leaving now. Whenever you feel like she's turning dangerous or regaining clarity of mind, shove one into her mouth and then you and your team can safely resume the experiments. I'm sorry by the way if I can't fulfill my promise to help out today...."

"Well, you look out of it after you had a chance to stab her. So do I have full authority on how I'll do my research to her?" The woman asked to make sure because she already has many ideas prepared on how she'd force Clarissa to show her regenerative power which Gio spoke of.

In Lauren's mind actually, she was planning to test the subject's healing power not by randomly inflicting cuts and injuries to her body.

'Hehe, we will test her by getting some of her organs and donatable body parts and donating them somewhere.'

'Afterward, we will check if the parts regrow! Once this theory is confirmed, we will then proceed to study the secret to it!'

'Oh, this means we will cut out those body parts again! But whatever! To be able to contribute to society, we will just donate them again!! And the cycle will continue until we discover anything good or progressible!'

Sofony didn't know her ideas but she wordlessly nodded, wiping the tears from her eyes. "Go ahead. Just do your best to torture her in the process. I don't want her to die. I want her to experience agony and torment of both body and mind. After all, she had already victimized many." Around this time, the girl remembered somebody clearing up the bad news about Clarissa so she activated her Hypnosis and tried to see if she could reawaken the other woman's memories about it.

Afterward, she added, "Dr. Lauren. I'm counting on you to fulfill my request. You're free to profit off of her. All I want is her misery. Extreme misery! I want to hear from you a daily report where she screams for mercy or death every pa.s.sing second! That's all that I want! Because she's someone I could never forgive for what she did to the ones important to me!"
